I intended on staying 3 nights but had some health concerns and was rushed to the hospital. The staff at the Springs were there to help out in minutes and I was stabilized and off to hospital as fast as it could happen. My gratitude to the staff. The hotel is one of my favourites and hope to come back soon!

It was ok, overall things just seemed to have gone down a hill a bit. The hotel was looking tired , rooms public areas etc. Service was ok but the fantastic service we have experienced in the past. The food was average so overpriced for average. Just not up to the star rating price point and past experience we expected.

I can't say enough about how much I loved staying at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel and Banff. I loved this hotel, and loved Banff. It is certainly one of my favorite hotels. Everyone was friendly; the hospitality was superb. Everything was wonderful, from the restaurants, spa, outdoor pool overlooking the mountains, the mountain view from the lovely room, a comfortable bed, a fun culinary experience at Grapes, wonderful gondola ride, great skiing, superior restaurants and shops downtown, stunning artwork in the gallery, a fun time dogsledding, and wonderful people living here in a gorgeous picturesque environment. We absolutely loved this trip!

It was really lovely. spa was delightful and really enjoyable. Would be nice to have beverages out there, you pay a lot to have a service and I always stay for a few hours would be nice to have a wine or sparkling water at the pools.

Staying at the castle brings back memories of a time past. I remember when you had to dress for dinner, and while that was great, I really enjoy the more relaxed atmosphere today. The staff that I encountered were wonderful. Probably the best compliment is that I didn't feel like a guest but that for the few days we were there it was home.

The 5 star experience started off with the check in staff on the 5th floor. We dealt with Chloe and Max (don't know their last names). They were extremely polite, professional, genuine and helpful. They deserve special recognition for how they carried out their job. The Banff Springs Hotel are very lucky to have them. The rest of the stay was equally as impressive. This was our second stay at the hotel and we got to experience even more of what the hotel has to offer. Our only negative point is that we didn't stay much longer.

We stayed for our wedding and Amy the cleaner went out of her way to make my niece feel welcome which was very sweet. On the Saturday night we kept awake with the base of a party downstairs vibrating our pillows until midnight.

I was quite disappointed with my experience when compared to past experiences. It started at check in, my account requests thin pillows and I informed the check in agent that only one thin pillow was required as it was for my husband and my preference was normal pillows. He told me he would let housekeeping know, but when we arrived in the room there were only thin pillows. On our second night, the guests next to us had left their dog in the room alone and he was whining and barking. I called to inform the hotel about it and they said they would send a security person up to check on it. The dog continued with the disturbing noise, at one point it seemed that the guest returned to the room for a short time and left again. The noise resumed. I called down again and informed the agent what had happened and they said they would send someone up again. We never heard anyone return to the room and the noise continued into the morning hours. This was very disruptive as I was staying at the hotel for a conference and was up very early the next morning. When we checked out, I informed the agent of our disappointment in the handling of the dog's noise and the agent apologized. I asked about the policy and was told the hotel allows animals to be left in the room unattended and are expected to return immediately if there is a noise complaint. The agent also told me the hotel offers pet sitting services. I told the agent that the process obviously was not followed or successful. I asked that it be noted in my account for the future that I not be placed in a room close to where an animal would be staying. The agent told me they could not guarantee that this could be accommodated. Understandable from my perspective, but the hotel should be able to guarantee that a noisy dog will not disturb my stay, which had not been the case. So I think it would be expected that I not be subject to the same disturbance on my next visit. Also the platform in which the bed was placed had sharp corners which caused me to scrape my ankle multiple times as I traveled around it to the far side of the bed.

« An amazing experience! »

Everything during our stay was spectacular! I was thoroughly impressed with how my food allergies were handled, and the food and cocktails were delicious in multiple on-site restaurants. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room, and how the air filters were changed during our stay without requesting it. We also really appreciated the concierge team- they helped us book everything in advance so our trip ran smoothly the entire time! They were always very responsive, friendly, and helped us make quick changes when necessary. I can’t wait to come back and stay here again!
