Clean and quiet hotel well located close to the station - don't listen to other reviewers this place feels safe and there are nice places to stop and relax in in the station square. The tram stop is outside with people to help you get tickets - a great way to get about the city

From the moment we arrived at the front desk until our reluctant departure the next day we felt valued and welcome at Ibis. The room was quiet and well-furnished, the shower powerful and the bed large and comfortable. Our only problem was parking. We were told by the gentleman on the front desk that the underground parking in front of the hotel was the best and most convenient. However, we unwittingly parked in the station drop-off area not the proper long-term car park and on departure we were unable to pay the 54 euro charge via the machine or by card at the office several hundred metres away. No fault of Ibis.

« A very nice short stay »

I love to stay in Ibis Bordeaux Centre Garr Saint-Jean Euratlantique. There are so many Ibis in this city, please make sure you choose this one *Euratlantique* because this one is really really accross the main gate of the station. The room that i occupied has a very nice view (triple bed room). The staffs speak very well English and they are very helpful.

« Great staff but WiFi was pathetic »

All staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome even though our French is minimal. The room was very small but amazingly designed so we fitted in well. The bathroom was excellent. Our room faced the rear of the hotel and there was this muted humming noise with occasional mechanical clanking from what we assumed was power supply to hotel. This went on 24/7 and on hot days with window open was a major irritation. The hotel has 2 lifts which is a major plus. Though hotel's WiFi signal strength showed as Excellent on our 2 phones and 2 tablets, web page loading was soooooooooooo slow that we eventually turned the WiFi off. This was very annoying as it was one of the main reasons we selected the hotel. Breakfast was good. Hotel is beside Tram Line C stop and we used the trams extensively to get round Bordeaux. They are frequent, efficient and very cheap.

the door to the bathroom was broken at the bottom slides, and was very noisy. The wet room floor was badly layed, so water was all over the washbasin area after showering. This was bad workmanship by the fitters. The staff were friendly and helpful, but it took three requests for extra pillows. We have used your hotels in France and U. K over some years now, and have never had any problems before, but seems your fitters need checking on. On our way home we stayed at the airport hotel, Bordeaux where again the door to our room rubbed the carpet and had split the wood work ,leaving a shower of powder behind the door. The drains in the bathroom were rather smelly and needed some bleach down them. It is a problem we all get at times, but as you don't use bleach, another product should be found to alleviate the problem. Your food choice did not take into dietary needs. So many now have diabetes , I understand you cannot cope with everyone's needs, but more unsweetened items would be of help. The lack of decaffeinated coffee was a problem also.

« Nice cosy hotel just across the road from Gare St. Jean »

The proximity to Gare St Jean was the reason we chose this hotel. The hotel room was nice though very compact. There are three of us. The sofa bed was opened for us when we checked-in. Though the neighborhood just at the back of the hotel left much to be desired, we could have skipped that part of town by taking the tram to see the sights. The buffet breakfast has quite a variety of food and was well worth the €10 that we paid. It saves us time and the food was delicious.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station Bordeaux St Jean but the quality is rather mediocre: the hotel has no own bar/restaurant, the online check-in did not work, the room was extremely noisy (we could literally hear everything through the connecting door) and the staff was not too friendly.
