I had a great experience. Nice clean room on the 18th floor with comfortable bed and nice shower. Nice food from room service and and brought to the room in good time. A little more choice at the breakfast wouldn’t have gone amiss but what was on offer was nice. Would stay here again

I wasn’t too thrilled to stay at the hotel. Firstly, we were given smoking rooms, those were never asked for. Bed was not comfortable,nor the pillows. Second day room was changed. The wash basin in the bathroom was clogged and water was not running down. Even though complained, but was not resolved. Beds again were nkt comfortable, the pillows n quilt were very old and not of hotel quality. Most importantly, even though in non smoking floor, one still smells the cigarrete smoke coming from smoking floors through the ventilation ducts. Rooms become extraordinarliy hot when the a/c is switched off during winter seasons as fresh air cannot enter the rooms. Windows r dirty from outside and paying for bosphorous view is not recommended then. The sky bar is not upto the quality, with limited seats to the front for the view. On the other hand staff at front desk is great. They did all they could to accomodate us. I was charged extra for my stay at the hotel, due to exchange rates and commisions and being charged in turkish lira. Even though, the charger amount should b exactly the same as agreed while booking. The hotel has agreed ro refund the extra, but still not recieved. If one wants to stay for location, then it is a suitable option, but still lot of ogher options are available nearby.

« Comfortable stay with small misunderstandings »

Unfortunately the transfer from airport to hotel was not satisfying. But the whole stay was excellent. Only the New Year’s Eve was because of insisting payment not ok. It was also not possible to get 2 glasses champagne although it was offered in the beginning.

« Great location, nice hotel, perfect staff ! »

The hotel has the best location in Istanbul -easy access from any point in the city. The hotel itself is nice: nicely decorated, very clean and good facilities. The rooms need a renovation soon -but I think you know that yourself. Still, everything is fine and well, and the hotel is generally well taken care of. The best part is the staff: the gentlemen at the reception are very competent, extremely flexible and incredibly friendly. They know their job and they do it well. Not on one single occasion I received a dissatisfying answer. I would like to mention Erkan Yilmaz. A very intelligent, educated and talented young employee. Perfect English skills and perfect manners. And does not stop until he has the feeling the guest is satisfied. A hard worker, sensitive to international guest needs. He and his colleagues are the best business card of your hotel, you must treat them well to keep them. Great stay overall, I will be back and back and this is my second home in Istanbul now.

The room was very clean and amenities satisfying. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only the windows were dirty from outside and a smoke came into the room through the air conditioning even though I was staying at a non-smoking room. Air conditioning was not heating cut cooling close to morning.

Room was too old, much older than usual Mercure hotels rooms. Walls were damaged and not well painted. And the room smelled like cigarette. The visitor has the impression of being monitor in each movement

Good, I appreciated very much the fitness center. Room is clean, furniture a little old, nice bathroom. One evening going back to my room I was surprised to see it hasn’t been made. I went down to the reception asking why, they sent someone rapidly to make it.

« Not worth it. »

The room quality was very awful for a 5-star hotel. Out first room had blood, black and green stains on the couch and the rug had many black stains. After asking to change our room, we were still staying in a room with stains on the couch and the carpet. But, at least this one didn't have any visible blood stains. This can only make you wonder what the quality of the bed's and the bathroom’s hygiene were like. for a 5-star hotel, our stay was very very disappointing.

We were three in one room. The extra single bed was NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL. You weren’t providing us with enough shampoo, toilet paper, and towels. we were three in the room not only ONE.
