The hair dryer is not attached to the mirror in the bathroom so it was a little inconvenient. There were no toothbrush and toothpaste in my room. The waste basket should have a cover.

« An enjoyable stay. »

As a platinum member, I have enjoyed various privileges at several Novotel Hotes in Bangkok but this one have very little to offer in comparison. An effort has been made to offer a free platinum menu in lieu of a lounge but its for the member only - not my wife or second guest. No free happy hour. The top grade room is the same as the normal rooms but has a bath you have to step into instead of a shower. The water goes everywhere. The same bathroom is open to the room from under the sinks which stop privacy whilst using the toilet. The lesser room appear a better option. Staff were just great. They could not have been more friendly and helpful. Although the basic price is cheaper, the overall price builds up compared to the other Novotel’s because of the lack of full platinum lounge facilities. I can’t say I was too disappointed with this hotel but I will think twice before booking there again.

« good and new but not so convenient »

The hotel is new and clean but being under accord hotel novotel, expected to have premier lounge for Platinum Card holder; turn out it is different standard and there is no lounge. So this may have disadvantage for future booking with the hotel compared to like just the nearby Novotel. Please consider to upgrade the lounge. Anyway, the chef made good pizza on the A la charte menu and the breakfast is nice! GOOD JOB!

Very nice stay, nice hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff. The rooms are not big, but nice. Also hope that new bath designs will be good for lower the moist that is a problem in many bathrooms across Asia. In fact I am missing a lounge in this hotel. The rooftop bar is very very nice and so is the swimming pool. Hope one day in the future there will be served breakfast on the rooftop on sunny days. The breakfast seems to be very well taken care of, and I also like the coolers for salad and other foods. But it also seems a bit hard to orientate myself at the breakfast. The only thing I not understand is the restaurant concept. The restaurant is aiming to be a Hi-So restaurant, but I feel that is misplaced. A restaurant that been more like a rough bar/restaurant where the the food is more fried chicken, burgers maybe a signature steak. Made with flames at your table or so that it could be looked from the street. In fact I would take away the plants and trees and moved the drive-path nearer the Soi 4 and had outdoor tables with the bar in the middle and then had live music on the outside (a little like Novotel Ploenchit) but had real flames as light, made steaks with flames and made people get interested in the bar/restaurant. From the outside the restaurant looks empty and boring and also to expensive, it looks a bit stiff from the street. Soi 4 is not so Hi-So. So have people sit on the outside as well as the inside, have real flames at light would create a rough and warm style. I think there is a lot of lost revenue of having a higher class restaurant then a cocktail, rough bar/restaurant. Soi 4 is a party street. The hotel looks very nice from the outside, nice view from the rooftop. Very good beds. and I like the new layout style in the rooms. I will be back!

« My first stay »

Excellent friendly staff and easy check in. Although I suggest a small ledge or barrier on the front desk for better appeal as I could see papers, calculators miscellaneous items scattered all around- this would not typically be seen if you just mount a small divider. There were also people sleeping ( sprawled out) in the lobby area in late afternoon - not sure if they were waiting but not a nice sight in lobby- I can share a photo of the young Farongs. Rooms were impressive and spacious and clean - but difficult to adjust the room temperature as it was very cold and didn’t shut off when it reached the designated temperature. Pool was excellent and staff ready to provide drinks. Towels on chairs left behind after people left suggesting there was someone occupying them. Pool staff should monitor more closely. Overrral it was a nice relaxing stay.

the room was average, nothing special. roof top was great. pool was terrible due to salty sea water. this was strange since it is an indoor pool. staff was very good from check-in to check-out and in between.

Elevators need to be sorted urgently. Either require correct programming or because only 3 number to service both Novotel and Ibis Styles is the reason for the extremely long waiting time.

« Great stay, just one little disappointment »

I liked the stay as the staff was great and I really enjoyed the pool and other facilities. The only disappointment I had afterwards: It was not possible to recognize my stay in the Places by Le Club Accor App. I tried to claim my stay there, but it got rejected twice. It would be nice if you can have a look at it again as I guess it's a problem with LCA booking system. Thank you.

I will remember the Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 4 as the hotel of Accor"Firsts': The first time that there is no priority check-in for Accor Plus Platinum members,; the first time that the GM (Mr. Boima Harris) comes to say hi at check-in (which is a neat touch but feels somewhat out of line when almost all consecutive experiences basically underdeliver),; the first time we did not only not get an upgrade as Platinum members, but our requests are wholly ignored; the first time I receive a personalized welcome email before staying at the hotel and then my reply appears to get overlooked,; the first time that apart from shampoo and shower gel there are no toiletries in the room, (after calling housekeeping for the second time and waiting a solid 35 minutes the maid told us that this is not part of the service for regular guests but gave us slippers, conditioner, and more shower gel and shampoo. ) the first time actually that I booked a Novotel but seemed to be getting an Ibis Styles. The room was new and robust, but rather small and noisy. The highlight is the rooftop restaurant, the welcome drinks were great, the food okay and the staff excellent. During the day the pool is overcrowded and unrelaxed. Overall we left with the impression that this is not a Novotel (yet) and that staff (apart from the rooftop) has a learning curve ahead of them as not to fall short of the Accor promise.
