« I came to this hotel many times but this time was not good at all »

First I booked an executive room and when I arrived there was no executive room available and I have been given a standard room with a discount. The person at the desk was very kind and trying to help but I can't understand how it is possible to book a room and that this room is not available. I guess you have several executive rooms. I am platinum accor member, I slept in this specific hotel around 20/25 nights last year, but you selected me as the customer to not deliver the room booked. To me this is a very strange customer management process. During the diner it took 25 minutes to order food and during this time the table was not cleaned from previous customer. I even had to ask when my food was delivered, if it was possible to clean the table. If not I have had to eat with a dirty table. The dessert that was brought to me was not the one I ordered, but I took it because this diner was definitely too long. In the morning I woke up at 4.30 am to go to the gym room and the air co was off. It was therefore freezing in the gym room. I switched on the air co, but it take time to warm up and it was quite impossible to run with so low temperature. Finally when it was time to pay, the discount offered the day before was not applied and I had to complain and to spend time and explanation to come back to the price offered by you the day before (no notes in your system ???). The hotel itself is great : design, room, location ... but since the opening I am really struggling with the management of the hotel. None of the usual Accor rules are implemented in this hotel and despite coming very often, no-one recognize you and is a bit sympathic with recurrent and platinum customers.

Easy to find and park, reception desk Very small, room modern but small. Not at all impressed with the bathroom doors, whatever happened to proper doors with a lock? Unable to use the safe as it was locked, (room 175), which is something housekeeping should have picked up on.I wanted to arrange an early morning call but the telephone would not work, I went to reception and one of the staff came back to the room to check. He found the cable dis-connected and got the phone working, I mentioned the early morning call for 6:30 am and he said he would deal with it unfortunately it never happened, (just as well I was awake). Bed was comfortable, A/C worked fine, large TV.The food in the restaurant was okay, but I don't like the way the bill comes with an option to add a gratuity when they have already added a "service charge" to your total. I am sure they get many people this way who do not notice the already added charge. I do not think I would choose to stay here again, no doubt others would have no issue with my concerns, but this is one I will avoid in the future.

I stayed here the night before an early-morning flight out. Check-in went reasonably well: there was a bit of a queue, and a delay to change a till roll, after which the receptionist thanked me for waiting and gave me a drinks voucher (even with only Classic LCAH status). There was a thumping Christmas banquet on, but she gave me a nice room on the opposite side from it -- it was impossible to get away form the noise completely, but it was a nice gesture that I appreciated.Realistically, this was a stopping-over point for me, rather than a destination. However, I did enjoy the layout of the bar area in the centre, with its walkways and suspended seating areas. The room I was given was spacious and comfortable.There are bus stops just on the road by the hotel, within the free-of-charge travel zone from the T2&3 bus hub. I got the bus back to the hub early in the morning and then went on HEX to T5 - that would work for going to T4 as well.Overall, I enjoyed my stay and more relaxing than getting up in the dark to sit in a taxi for an hour: although it did cost considerably more, so it's not for every time.

« The hotel is well situated, parking was very easy, reception staff were extremely helpful, decor unusual in a good way and room spotlessly clean and very comfortable »

We were not there long enough to enjoy it properly (9.30pm before our flight and left at 6.30 the next morning), but we were very impressed. We particularly liked the decor in the bar/restaurant area, the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the extremely helpful reception staff Very good value for money Our only regret is that we had to drive to the long stay car park for our flight rather than being able to leave the car at the hotel during our trip, but we booked knowing that.

The hotel is brand new and very nice to stay in. We also enjoyed a good breakfast. However, the website leads one to believe that the hotel is right in the airport terminal just like the Sheraton is right in the terminal of the Toronto airport. That is why I selected this hotel. Upon arrival, I realized that that was not the case at all and we had to get transportation to the hotel which was nearby. That was a bit of a nightmare because transportation is not well mark and the airport is not so well organized in our opinion. We also learned from hotel reception that many people that had stayed there had the same complaint – that is that the website was misleading. This hotel is no closer to the airport than all the others.

Very good location minutes from LHR terminals by Hoppa bus. Good food / bar. Upon arrival in our room the bathroom sink wasn’t draining properly. We alerted the staff and they immediately swapped rooms for us while we werevhaving dinner in the restaurant. Very friendly staff in the restaurant/ bar also.

The experience far exceeded my expectations, having stayed at other Novotels in the past. The staff were incredibly useful from the moment we arrived. Considering it was New Year's Eve we were surprised they even had the time for us since we didn't participate in the party organised downstairs. Both Check-in and Check-out were very quick.

The hotel is brand new and felt a little unfinished, so in fairness, probably needs a bit more time to settle down. Check-in was efficient and staff were friendly. The room layout was bizarre, and we kept wondering what on earth was in the designer or architect's mind when they thought out their plans. There was too much space in some areas (bathroom) and not enough in others (could barely wheel our cases between the wardrobe and the end of the bed, it was such a tight squeeze!) There was a minibar fridge but it was switched off and empty. The windows were partially obscured by a jutting-out wall housing the TV. The bathroom and wardrobe doors were opposite each other, with little space in between, so that my husband came out of the bathroom and crashed into me hanging clothes in the wardrobe. The bathroom wall facing into the main room was partially glazed with opaque glass, so that you could see the vague outline of your partner in the shower - that might be fun for some but if you like total privacy for your ablutions, then beware! Food was not that great. When we dined at The Nest, salad had run out and even my husband's choice of Fuller's beer had run out (it's a bit ironic that he can buy it anytime at our local supermarket in New Zealand, but not in our London hotel!!). The breakfast buffet was so unappealing that we decided to have a coffee and get a breakfast at the airport instead. Overall, not bad for a one-night stay and we didn't have time to check out the full amenities of the hotel. But we will probably choose another hotel next time we pass through Heathrow.

I had a very poor experience. I had already checked in online and so went to collect the key and head up to the room. I had booked 2 single beds, and had received a confirmation email - upon arrival we were told we had a double bed with a pull out sofa. I requested to remain in a room with two single beds as booked, to which the woman at the counter sighed heavily and said “I guess I can try and find one, but you can just sleep on the pull out sofa”. After travelling all day, we didn’t have the fight in us to debate with her further and went up to our room. We had limited bathroom amenities, the towels had holes in them, and the pull out sofa wasn’t made. Very frustrating after a day of travelling. Also disappointed in Accor as unable to use my Le club dining privileges in any location during my travels, including America and Europe.

The overall room was acceptable and comfortable -- clean bed, clean bathroom, exactly as needed for an overnight stay between flights. The ability of the reception staff left something to be desired -- were not very knowledgeable about how to help with completing the bill, asking me to sign for the incorrect quoted price without clarifying that was giving me the deposit amount instead. Also at check-out, only offered the options to return to the airport that required paying a fee -- had I not previously read other negative reviews of the hotel, I would not have known about the bus option that is complimentary in the Heathrow airport area -- this is not an acceptable representation of hotel services.

Hotel arrival and check out process quick and easy. Room clean comfortable with great shower. Restaurant was disappointing as someone with celiac disease I was disgusted by the staff response to my direct request for a gluten free option only to be told there was one choice - this came from I believe the manager or supervisor. You need to do better.

Staff were very helpful. We arrived early and they sped up the process of getting a room for us. As an Accor member, they looked after our needs efficiently and promptly. We had organised a friend to meet us at the hotel who stayed for dinner. The food choice was excellent and came in a very timely manner. Our room was well appointed, very comfortable and could not hear the noise of departing aircraft. The hotel organised a taxi for us at 5am to get to Terminal 3, a short distance that cost us just over 13 English pounds. Great location and hotel for an early start at the airport.

Overall the Novotel Heathrow is a decent stay in close proximity to the airport Terminals. The rooms are small but we'll equipped and the bar & restaurant were decent but nothing special. Service was below par at the restaurant (ignored for a while) but food pretty good for the price. I was surprised that there was no free shuttle service to the airport as this is a given at airport hotels the world over - clearly not in London though! Also large chains like this really need to step up their environmental game - single use plastics were everywhere (bottles, straws).

« No sleep at all due to noisy all night party which had taken over the hotel »

There was a new year’s eve event with some 300 guests. Loud music and live DJs went on until 2am. We had booked the hotel because we had a very early transatlantic flight the next morning. The hotel restaurant was closed so there was nowhere to go on New Year’s Eve for us. The hotel should have informed us of this event in advance and we could have gone to the other two Accor hotels next door. Otherwise the hotel which is brand new and really stylish could have been so good. The reception staff, duty and general managers were completely out of their depths. We were most probably the only two people who were not part of that large Bollywood party.
