« Impersonal and nothing special »

Very impersonal and nothing special. I checked in, the lady thought we didn’t pay in advance so had to check we did. I requested a room away from the lift and quiet and I the opposite! Room 103 right opposite the lift and noisy due to its location. No welcome drink voucher handed out either as part of my accord benefit status. It’s an airport hotel I understand that, so perhaps you are not interested in retaining customers but I booked the Novotel due its affiliation with accord and the service was substandard. I was tired and wanted to go to sleep so didn’t call to chase or complain but I would have expected that the request for a quiet room away from lift was met and the drink vouchers handed in at check in just like when I check in others accord hotels. I should not Have to ask for it or chase. Would I stay again? Most likely no given the soulless experience. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good either ...

« very new and comfortable, great location »

The hotel is very new and very comfortable. I deduct one star because at check-out, there was a problem with the print, so the hotel can't provide me the invoice which I need it to reimburse with my company. I have been waiting for 4 days and I still haven't receipt the invoice. I think today, I will have to make international call to follow up about it.

Very good stay with very good facilities. Would have appreciated some tissues in the bathroom or bedroom. The room numbering system is very confusing with quite different numbers opposite each other.

« AC difficult to use »

AC difficult to use and kept going off. The Duvets are far to hot and when we asked for a top sheet and a blanket we were told no blankets Available!! We slept under duvet covers. The glass wall in the bathroom lights up the room and wakes the sleeping partner when the other partner uses the bathroom in the night.

I was well looked after and the hotel is nice and new. However I asked for an invoice to be sent to me my email and it wasn’t , I called up and was told to email which I did and I still haven’t received anything. Please can you sort this out.

The room was up to expectations with all facilities necessary. We did miss the sports channels on TV. As a loyalty club member I expected best price via the internet. This was not the case.

Good and efficient check-in. The ladies at the desk were very welcoming and very helpful. It was unfortunate that I did not ask for their names. They were lovely ladies. Room was good. Facilities in the room was adequate. Furnishing was very welcoming. The low point of the stay was the breakfast. It was terrible. I had the meal in the room. The plate was too full; and it appeared that the waitress just put leftovers from the restaurant. The egg tasted funny. I could not eat the meal. This was a great letdown... particularly as breakfast is the meal that you would expect a Novotel to execute effectively

Stopover at Heathrow before a long flight home. From checkin to checkout the service was first rate. The decor of the hotel was something we have never seen before. The blockout drapes and no noise meant we slept through breakfast. Being an Accor Plus member we have stayed in a number of Accor hotels and this one would be at the top of the list. Would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone flying in or out of Heathrow.

« Almost great »

This almost new hotel was almost great. The room was comfortable, food was good. It would be better to have perhaps a larger reception desk area - too many people arrived to check in or out for the available staff size. Car parking was restricted without any explanation (difficult to exit). Hoppa Bus tickets were offered for a less expensive price "at our kiosk", however there is no kiosk and the best the reception desk could do was suggest we buy tickets on the bus (slightly more expensive). If you can't do it, don't offer it. Staff were willing but not as well trained as could be expected, probably because the hotel is new (?). So this hotel is ALMOST there, but not quite.

Despite having breakfast pre-purchased it is always a problem when we stay and we need to provide proof to the reception desk and/or restaurant staff. Something in the booking process is NOT getting through to the hotel. Our stay at this particular Novotel was also spoilt by very discourteous guests making noise ALL night from 1am until 6am even after being warned by night time staff to be quiet..
