« Disinterested staff, dirty room, no a/c »

Room we booked had no a/c, was told at 9pm it was too late to change rooms. Insisted we changed, moved to another room and was told a/c was working and room checked. Arrived at room, a/c not on. Only came on after further complaint. Room had mould by windows.

« Excellent hotel, rubbish parking provision »

We thought the hotel was of excellent quality and good value for a family of 4. The family room was very spacious. However, the website when booking was awful. We ended up somehow booking 2 rooms and cancelling one. Also, you need to make it really clear on your website that you need to RESERVE a parking space at this hotel and that it is underground. We chose this hotel because it had parking but on arrival we were informed that we did not have parking as we had not reserved it. We would definitely have reserved it if we had been made aware that we needed to. We had a bike rack on the back of our car with 4 expensive bikes and a roof box. So even when the really helpful receptionist managed to find us a space, we could not fit our car in the underground car park. In the end we had to remove all the bikes and store them in the hotel and park the car on street which we were not happy doing due to the fact the roof box was full. Can you please make this more obvious for future guests to avoid them having to go through the stress we experienced having travelled 600 km to get to your hotel?

« Excellent for an overnight stay »

I was very pleased to be able to break my journey in St.Malo and to know that my car was securely locked away in a private garage. I received a warm and courteous welcome and my room was spacious, very clean and had a balcony, a most pleasant feature. I should have liked there to be a safe, but this was by no means essential. Breakfast was fine.

The hotel is located close to the train station but a little bit far from the old city center (however buses are frequent and convenient). Room and bed are correct and the bathroom is small. We were surprised that the towels were replaced the second day.

We needed a place to stay last minute on Bastille Day. The staff accommodated our needs by providing storage for bags, directions, and even early check-in. St. Malo was terrific, and the fireworks display Wes a joy to behold over the walls of the old city. We look forward to our next visit!

Checkin was a bit awkward as I was called to one end of the counter - then to the other - then back to where we started. This member of staff hardly spoke and seemed confused - or maybe she was new to the industry. Meanwhile another member of staff was doing an excellent job helping a yorng familiy - she was very helpful to me also the next day when I needed to store bags

As an overnight stop-off prior to catching a ferry, the hotel was all that I expect from Accor - welcoming and friendly staff, together with a comfortable room! The provision of secure parking was also key. My only disappointment was - MILK! The English like to drink lots of coffee and tea with milk and having quickly exhausted the meagre prepacked supplies, I found it remarkable that I was charged for the supply of a small jug of fresh milk!!

An overnight stop close to the ferry port for an early sailing. The hotel is well situated, with good parking (payable until 7 but not a problem). The welcome was very friendly and efficient, the room was very spacious and clean and well appointed.
