Checkin was a bit awkward as I was called to one end of the counter - then to the other - then back to where we started. This member of staff hardly spoke and seemed confused - or maybe she was new to the industry. Meanwhile another member of staff was doing an excellent job helping a yorng familiy - she was very helpful to me also the next day when I needed to store bags

As an overnight stop-off prior to catching a ferry, the hotel was all that I expect from Accor - welcoming and friendly staff, together with a comfortable room! The provision of secure parking was also key. My only disappointment was - MILK! The English like to drink lots of coffee and tea with milk and having quickly exhausted the meagre prepacked supplies, I found it remarkable that I was charged for the supply of a small jug of fresh milk!!

Everything was how we expected and more. Great staff, easy check in, great parking facility, easy to walk into St Malo and to drive to the port the next day. Sylvie, the receptionist who met us, was 'super gentille'!

« Just what we wanted »

An overnight stop close to the ferry port for an early sailing. The hotel is well situated, with good parking (payable until 7 but not a problem). The welcome was very friendly and efficient, the room was very spacious and clean and well appointed.

Nice hotel, not a bad location (a good walk to the walled town and the sea). Beware the garage: spaces are narrow and as a result our car left with over 200 Euros worth of damage due to luggage being carelessly removed from the car alongside.

« Family visit to Saint Malo - catered brilliantly for our new Gluten Free lifestyle! »

We stayed for 2 nights in one of the family rooms. The room was spacious and well set up for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 children (4-6) and a 4 month old baby). The sofa beds for the kids were comfy and in a separate part of the room from the main bed. A separate toilet and bathroom were an added plus. Breakfast was great, as the hotel catered for me and my son who have recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease and they were great at providing us with yummy gluten free rolls and madeleines. Hotel is walking distance to the Inter muros part of Saint Malo and the beaches.

Overall satisfied stay. A bit taken back by the hard plastic chairs and night stand as room furniture but the staff was courteous and the night front desk employee (Julien I believe is his name) was very helpful. The hotel had an internet issue and it simply didn’t work during our stay, after mentioning it to the front desk, they were aware of the problem that seemed to be existing the night before and assured us they were having it handled. Well, I don’t doubt their effort in trying to address the issue, the Internet didn’t work at all during our stay. Upon check out, I notified the person checking me out that the internet hadn’t worked, she was sincerely sorry about it but that’s about it. I don’t know if I’ve gotten used to a different level of service with a couple of other major hotel chains I use, but in my experience technology can have its downfalls and when that happens the hotel tries to find a way to make up for it. May it be through extra reward points, an instant discount off the bill or some gesture to compensate for the unsatisfactory experience. I have been using the AccorHotels brand while traveling through Europe and I must say it’s a “hit and miss” kind of situation.

« it could have been great if they would have been more commercial. »

I took a reservation for three adults for the night of Thursday 10th of May. When I arrived I paid immediately. At 3 o'clock my daughter told me she will be unable to come as she got problems with the train in France (strikes) At the hotel they refused to give me back the money for the supplement of the third person saying that everything is already in the computer. I can understand that but what I can't understand is that they could have given me some coupons for the restaurants for example. I precise that I have the Accor siver card and that my daughter tried to come for the burial of my brother and the hotel knew that. The less that one can say is that their reaction was not sensitive at all.
