« Very good central hotel in Ostend. »

I had a very nice week at this hotel. Very comfortable room, convenient for the centre of town + beach. I would go back. Staff were friendly, with nice bar. However, there was something of an over-keenness for the cleaning staff to come into my room uninvited. Three times in the week the cleaner came in without knocking. While I was in bed. Had a reasonably extended conversation with her on one occasion before she would leave. Creepy? Or perhaps just Belgian? Probably could be avoided by greater use of the 'do not disturb' sign, although I hadn't anticipated the need at 9am. I didn't eat in the hotel, but found several nice restaurants nearby.

Nice and clean hotel, close to the beach. The breakfast buffe was extraordinary, fresh food and an enormous variety. The staff was friendly. However, what was unclear to us was that you had to pre-book parking space and dinner. The information was not mentioned in the confirmation email we got. Probably it is on the website, but we did not look carefully enough. Fortunately for the dinner, the staff accepted we ate in the restaurant even if we hadn't prebooked. Otherwise we would have had to go out with two very tired children to try to find a place to eat, so we are very grateful they took us in.

Very good level of service. The property is in the center of the town and within a stone throw away from the beach. The room was nicely furnished and quiet. The elevator is slow, and there was lack of soap in the bathroom.

« Great staff, location in Oostende »

With Mercure Hotels, you expect more than an Ibis and less than a Pullman, always comparable to Novotel in quality but usually hotels with character or a non traditional corporate layout that of Novotel always has. Rooms were smaller than expected but had all items needed, big city downtown location meant parking at a premium, pricey but but we needed a secure spot with rental and golf clubs and they provided that. Staff was most helpful at check in and to help sort car park and late night dining for us. Easy access to all of Oostende sites and attractions, wish we had longe to enjoy. the staff though made this a good experience for us and our stay. Many thanks to them.

« Good location but bed not comfortable »

Stay is ok , there is no big problem, but we want big bed for coupl , we get too beds together not made good to be one, no bottle of water for le club members in room , also give us family room with 2 beds for children’s , we don’t have children’s, we forget our iPhone charger , we ask recipients for charge our iPhone but there isn’t any in hotel

Our brief stay was wonderful we arrived earlier than the check in time but Mo on the front desk was so helpful he is a credit to the hotel unfortunately due to a death of a relative we had to leave a day early so we're unable to thank him properly we ate in the restaurant in the evening and both the staff and the food were fantastic we will definitely stay at the mecure again

« an excellent relaxing stay »

we arrived early, not able to access our room, which was expected and ok. we were able to access the parking garage so we went into town. check was efficient, friendly and helpful. when we received out room keys they would not work but the housekeeping lady helped us in and I went to reception to get a key that would access our room. all good. staff at the bar were efficient and friendly. house keeping were very good, well done.

Second time in this hotel. Small room very clean but need bed replacement. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Need to request dinner before 5 pm for dining after 6:30 pm, more than sufficient for light dinner.
