We stayed a night as a family and had the loveliest stay. The reception staff are always outstanding and friendly, the room were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. We couldn't fault a thing!

first thing was we had no coat hangers and had to ask and were given the minimum we asked for. there were none at all in the cupboard. We should not have to ask for coat-hangers. second thing. There was barely any soap in the sink dispenser and we had to pump like a mad person to get any so resorted to going into the shower to get soap. I assumed after the second day that housekeeping would notice but no they did not. So I had to ask for the soap which was given to me. but housekeeping did not replace the empty ones they just left them sitting on the bench. third thing; We ate in the dining room the first night and I ordered a Caesar Salad which was simply unacceptable. Lettuce had clearly been soaking in the dressing and was soggy . there was a mountain of packet croutons. a search and destroy mission was needed to find the commercial prepared bacon which was chewy. egg was great but there were no anchovies which is part of a normal Caesar recipe. I know hotel food is reknown for not being wonderful and this meal certainly reinforced that view. My husbands garlic prawns were reasonable he said. The lady on the table next to me also had the salad and was very pleased to hear my complaints to the staff as her comments were the same as mine. We happily did not have to pay for that salad, much of which I ate because I had not had anything to eat all day and was hungry. The staff to whom I spoke were very pleasant and helpful but I think the hotel needs to improve quality control of room service to warrant a nearly $300 charge a night.
