The hotel room we stayed in was lovely. Nice new bathroom, comfortable bed and pillows. However..... There was only 1/4 roll of toilet paper left, plus another roll with about just under half left. We looked high and low for a spare roll and were lucky that we found a housekeeper and asked her for a new roll. Breakfast buffet was okay. Seemed a bit of a hodge podge layout wise though.

Spent happy hour in the bar with a very efficient and friendly bartender named Adam before eating a nice dinner in the restaurant. Very comfortable bed and well designed room. Totally adequate for a downtown big city hotel.

Whilst we found the room and service to be very good our overall stay was marred by the quality of the main course in the restaurant. I ordered the rump steak medium rare which when it arrived was extremely thin (less than 1 cm thick) and consequently more medium than medium rare and quite tough and tasteless. My wife ordered the salmon which was very overcooked and thus not enjoyable. We also found the menu to be somewhat limited. On a more positive note, the entrees were very nice.

I have two criticisms, 1: I had arranged to be up graded to a junior Suite but this wasn't communicated to the front desk upon check in. 2: there are no laundry facilities in the hotel which was an inconvenience otherwise I found the staff to be friendly and courteous. the hotel was in a great location and I won't hesitate to stay there again

« Great customer service, rooms are great and the breakfast »

We arrived early and received an early check in, which was great as we could take advantage of the pool we order room service, the food was delicious. Like how breakfast is serviced until 11am, we grazed for about an hour and the service was at high standard. we received a bottle of wine from travel zoo, which was a bottle of red, we asked for a white wine, which was no issue- once again great customer service.

Advantage Plus loyalty gestures could be enhanced in line with renewal increases. Carparking could be inclusive, instead of the most expensive in the neighbourhood. Advice on local attractions and wayfinding could be offered more conspicuously. No breakfast menu apparent in the room, only lunch and dinner. Compact but very modern/minimalist room design, very comfortable and admirable. Western aspect and aircon delay is a noticeable problem.

We stayed at the weekend with our grandchildren. For a start, we waited for about 15 minutes at the entrance of the hotel. A car was parked very close to the entrance and we thought the occupants were checking in. However, this was not the case. We told this to the staff member who checked us in. He was not particularly worried. The rooms are not suitable for families with children and neither are the facilities. Most importantly I did not sleep from about 3am onwards because of the persistent noise - presumably from the airconditioning system. I had nothing to do and as an experiment, I measured and recorded the noise using an app of my phone. It ranged between 50-60 decibels. What was even more annoying was that the noise was not constant and it caused vibrations in the ceiling. I could have had a better night sleep if I had stayed home!
