Reception staff were very good and friendly. There seemed plenty of staff working at wedding event so glasses were being collected. The rooms/corridors seemed fairly well sound proofed from the music. Plenty of parking. Instructions sent out to find the venue were useful. Flowers in hanging baskets were dead, pieces of wood in the fountain, windows and skirting board in need of some repair. An amazing looking venue but needs to be kept up to date.

Room tired, meal service (dinner) very long c. 3 hours for what was supposed to be a quick early evening meal with our young son. No acknowledgement from staff as to Platinum membership.

« Nice breakfast no aircon rude night manager »

The breakfast and staff in the day time were excellent. We were in the area for a wedding and was originally going to stay in a cheaper hotel but because by girlfriend fell pregnant wanted to stay somewhere a bit nicer. During the heatwave we did not get any sleep as was too hot with no aircon. Kind I would of thought for price of hotel they might of offered a pregnant woman a fan at least but they said they didn't have any and I didn't push the matter. I locked my key in the room and the night manger was quite short with me having to let me in my room. Overall nice hotel tho properly nicer to stay in the winter. Thanks

« Fantastic staff, lovely food, great all round »

Every member of staff was really friendly and helpful. We had to alter our booking at the last minute due to one of our group having a family emergency. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. From cleaners to bar staff, waiters and reception staff everyone was amazing. We had an overnight spa break and will definitely be returning for another. We stayed in an apartment which was perfect for the spa and restaurant. The grounds are lovely to walk around too.

Reservation not booked in restaurant, 1 towel in the room, no hairdryer - I staye in the old part and had to walk to reception twice as no one answered the phone - when I told the receptionist this she said ‘the phones don’t work’ the alcohol was very watered down. The WiFi signal is terrible and having no reception at the hotel this is really needed. A reception is needed in he old part.

Air conditioning did not work - needed to make a room change. Only one cup in room. Several room lights non-functional Very noisy - large daytime outdoor corporate event and very noisy neighbour late at night. Previous stays had been good - will not visit again.

Room fine and clean. Set menu ok. Breakfast needs a little more attention as tea bags ran out, had to wait 10mins for replacements and had to ask 3 people. Would not have liked to stayed here if it had been raining as there was no covered walk from rooms to restaurant.

We stayed for my niece's wedding.the rooms are large.clean & tidy. The beds are comfortable. Attention to detail superb. We would love to stay a little longer next time to explore the lovely grounds.

Our break was booked via Secret Escapes who we use regularly. Warwickshire was the chosen location this time as we were also catching up with friends at Leek Wootton. Mercure Walton Hall lived up to our expectations - expansive grounds, friendly and accommodating staff, good spa facilities and great food. It was nice to wake up to a fresh, bright morning with geese cackling and pigeons cooing. Very countryfied, coming from a urban London base. The only slight niggle was the lack of air conditioning in the room (not usually required in British weather!). We could open the window but had one of those rooms which didn't open out to a balcony. However, this was not really a problem as we spent little time in the room, exploring outside - the main Hall, chapel, lake and bridge. All staff were very good. Would like to single out Bogi, Restaurant Manager on the evening of our stay and Maria at breakfast who was quite delightful. Also, Roy the Supervisor - we enjoyed the chat with him
