Room 298 at the end of a corridor had everything I needed and any noise from the circuit did not worry me. I would personally prefer the basin in the bathroom to be lower. I made use of the swimming pool: I had to return to my room for a £1 coin: last time I stayed, the pool reception gave me a token for a locker. Dinner in your restaurant was over priced especially the very plastic sticky toffee pudding. Breakfast was fine.

Lovely hotel but beds uncomfortable

Staff were very helpful and welcoming, bar area had a great atmosphere and we managed to relax in the spa the day after our sons wedding. However, the bed was so uncomfortable three of our p. had bad backs the following day. The pillows were flat and I woke up continuously through the night. We upgraded our room and at £155 a night I would expect to get a good night's sleep. I booked two rooms and the other people in my p. said the same thing.

Reception staff, room and facilities great. Breakfast great (staff and food). Dinner great on Friday and Saturday night (staff and food). Sunday let the whole break down. To order a create your own pizza clearly saying no cheese (due to serious allergy) which our waiter acknowledged and wrote down but to be served with a pizza with cheese which that waiter (? restaurant manger) apologised for and said he would sort straight away demonstrates waiting staff are not aware pizza’s are bought in with cheese. That wouldn’t have been an issue if the chef read the order and advised the waiter at that time my menu choice was not possible. Instead my husband and I were served our meals at the same time but as I was allergic to the meal served to me this was taken away and a few minutes later I was asked to choose something else - this should have happened at the time of the order. As my husband’s meal wasn’t taken away at the same time as mine it meant he had to eat his dinner on his own while my new choice was cooked, meaning I then had to eat on my own doubling our time in the restaurant. Not the most romantic evening watching each other eat separately!!! Spoilt the whole day.

OK stay for just one night

Poor check in experience, paid for early check in, reception said no rooms ready, offered for us to leave our stuff, no apology, no solution offered. I had to insist that they sorted it after which she called to get a room clean. Booked half board but no mention of booking dinner, no advice of breakfast times or where to go, no mention of booking spa treatments . Generally a ‘can’t be bothered’ welcome and one of the worst I have experienced. Rest of the stay was fine.

Poor for the cost of the room

Our room had no power to the plug sockets, no menus for the restaurant or room service and no breakfast menu, which menat repeated trips to reception. When trying to order room service there was no answer and after trying 3 times, I had to leave the room and go to the bar to order food and still charged the room service fee. Reception were helpful and and very apologetic.
