Hi there, My wife recently booked me in to stay in the Mecure Dartford Brands Hatch Hotel and Spa. I had been ill and so it was a way of having a night away to catch up on some work and enjoy the spa facilities. To say that i was disappointed is an understatement. On arrival to the Hotel I dropped my bag in my room which was clean and comfortable and headed to the SPA. It was disgusting!! The men's changing rooms had mud all over the floor where you are expected to walk bare foot from the changing room to the pool area. The smell of sewage only lead me to think what on earth am i stepping in. this was in the main area let alone then attempting to use the toilets which were dirty and the smell was overwhelming. On then moving through to use the pool and facilities my experience did not get better. Both sauna and steam room were dirt as well as the floor area in between the two. the steam room had wet bits of tissue all over it. As you can imagine I talked to the receptionist who was in fact helpful and said that i could have a free breakfast. If it was earlier in the day i would have found somewhere else to stay as i wanted to use the facilities in the morning and now of course had been put off. She informed me to write an email as there was nothing she could do with the price of the room. On arrival to breakfast in the morning i found an empty room. i asked at reception if i was in the right place which they informed me i was. So calling out was greeted in the dinning area to be told no hot food was out because it was quite. if i really wanted something hot though they could ask the kitchen. I said yes. I was then presented within minutes a plate of reheated bacon eggs and sausage that had clearly been sat in the pots over night, again disgusting. I left most of the food. Whilst the room was clean I'm really was not happy with my stay. Paying the money i did i would expect at least a clean changing room sewage smell free and facilities that had been looked after. I would also expect if i am the only guest having breakfast for some effort to go into making this enjoyable for me rather than hard reheated meat. Please would be be so kind to come back to me with some kind of explanation and compensation for the stay. Kind Regards

Perfectly located for the circuit, its always a pleasure to stay at the Mercure when racing at Brands Hatch. The staff are always welcoming and they really make the experience stand out, especially Eve, Mandi and Naomi who always have a warm welcoming smile and are happy to help when ever they can.

Compared with equivalent hotels in the area such as the unspeakably dire Hilton this corporate-leaning hotel was perfectly able to accommodate us as a family for a leisure break. Our only issue was the rowdy guests in the early hours of the morning but you can't blame the hotel for that. The food was high standard both at dinner and breakfast.

« Not quite up to your usual standard »

We were at a ladies' festival. The room and breakfast were fine but at the function the dinner was very slow in being served and the bar service was even slower. Also my wife complained that the milk stood on the tables from 4.15pm to 8.45pm when coffee was served. We sat down for dinner at 6.30pm and the First course was served at 7.15pm.

The Reception was very good and helpful, the room was great although it could have had a few more teabags! The food for the the meal at the Dinner Dance left a lot to be desired. Most of it had very little taste and teh vegtables were very much undercooked. Bar service was slow at times.

Staff were very pleasant. Room was very clean with nice contemporary decor. Overall a massive improvement on our stay here a couple of years ago. The only thing it had going for it before was it’s proximity to Brands Hatch Circuit, but now it’s a nice hotel. Well done.

Two colleagues stayed the night prior to my own arrival, neither of their rooms had heating Tv control missing from room, tried calling Front Desk and Room Service from room phone- neither answered. Had to phone hotel main number from my mobile to get an answer. I took breakfast on two mornings, on both occasions the food offer was poorly presented, a number of the hot food dishes were empty as was the fresh yoghurt bowl. Whilst they were eventually refreshed, this took some time. Not the best experience just prior to checking out

« Hotel seems to need some refurbishment »

Enjoyed stay , staff were welcoming, it seems there was an issue with the heating, not comfortable in bar and restaurant as cold and had to wear jacket, do not expect this in a 4 star hotel, portable heaters all around. The heating issue spoilt the stay but food good and pool area good. Dressing gowns hard

Room didn’t have a bath, which I was told it did. Receptionist told me they would put me out of the way for it to be quiet but I was next to a 30th birthday party room and and also the loading bay..... ceiling was peeling off in bathroom and breakfast order was wrong.
