Rooms where clean and tidy, corridors were still littered with breakfast trays at 6pm in the evening, 30 minute wait for members of staff to attend the bar to serve drink, burgers so rubbery I'm surprised Michelin haven't sued them for copyright and a customer service team that don't respond!

part of a wedding booking we couldn't access our room pre ceremony. we came to reception about midnight and was met by a rude and surly receptionist. Our room was oven hot so we put on the air con which only circulated the extremely hot air. we tried to open a window but room was on the first floor just above an extremely noisy bank of air con units, emitting even more hot air. Also the pool was out of service and at breakfast the coffee machine was broken. And as there was no water in the room we had to pay an extra £1 per bottle. so poor when we were paying £125 for the room. on one positive note the receptionist on the Sunday morning was friendly and smiley.

Dear Mr & Mrs S., Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at the Mercure Dartford Brands Hatch - Hotel & Spa. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We always try our best to get the rooms ready before check-in time, however I can see that the hotel was fully booked the night prior therefore the number of rooms would have been limited early in the morning/afternoon. My sincere apologies about the service provided during check-in, I will take this further and discuss it with the head of department to take relevant action. In our hotel, we only have a couple of rooms with air-conditioning. We provide a fan in the rooms without, however due to this extreme summer weather I fully understand that this would not have compensated for the heat. Due to health & safety we are restricted in allowing the windows to be opened fully. We have not had any issues with the pool and it has been fully operational in the 2 years I have been here. We did have an issue with our Jacuzzi, unfortunately we had to wait for a part from the supplier which took longer than anticipated. Thank you for highlighting the receptionist, I will make sure your comments are passed on as I know Kerri would love to receive such feedback. Your feedback is very important to us. We had previously called the hotel and whilst we advised that we were to early to book into our booked family room, we had been advised that we could use a room in the spa to change. When we arrived we were told that we could not use the spa!!!This caused us problems as we needed to change for a wedding we were attending. Ended up changing in our car, not the best way to prepare for a wedding.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. We only have a handful of rooms which have air-conditioning and in the other rooms we provide a fan. I fully understand in the extreme heat this fan did not compensate and cool down the room for you. I am glad to hear that the receptionist tried her very best to help. We always have a Duty Manager in the hotel, this person is here for every department and sometimes has to delegate matters to one of her colleagues should he or she be busy already. I am sorry that on this occasion the duty manager did not personally come up, I can assure you that every manager would always prefer to deal with situations personally and therefor I can only assume that he or she was tied up on that occasion and did not want to keep you waiting any longer. At Mercure, we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that I am personally taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence. I believe from speaking to the Duty Manager that the stay was refunded through Spabreaks. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and again my sincere apologies. This was a last minute booking and I didn't check into the hotel until gone midnight but this was no problem at all as the desk is manned 24 hours a day which was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was fresh and modern with everything I needed and more. Overall great stay. I would say the only slightly negative part to my stay was that my room was located near to a cleaning cupboard / cleaners doorways so I was woken by this unfortunately.

We booked this stay as a reward after recovering form surgery. We were told by your reservations department that we had to book the room first before we could book our spa treatments only to be told that there were no traetments available and the room was non-refundable. We spoke directly to the hotel who fortunately agreed to reduce the fee as there were no treatments available but when we arrived at the hotel we were also informed that the jacuzzi and steam rooms were also out of service. We went for our evening meal and although we were the only people in the reataurant the service was terrible with my wine only arriving as my meal ended. The room we were given was on first sight lovely but it had no air conditioning and we also has to complain about noise as the extractors for the hotel were over-working due to the heat. Fortunately they were able to move us but to tell the truth that was the final straw we had booked this break as a rest cure for me after having surgery six weeks ago but it was anything but! We would therefore appreciate a hotel stay with a spa package at another time in compensation. I will however add that your reception staff were most helpful and the restaurant manager did try to hurry the waiting staff along.

Unfortunately our jacuzzi broke down, we always try to fix items as soon as possible but on this occassion we had to wait for a part which took much longer than normal. Staying at the hotel was fine but the initial booking process was a problem as the reservations person did not understand English proficiently when I tried to explain that there was a certain number of rooms that had been reserved for wedding guests for a wedding that was being held at the London Golf. I had to call the reservations team about 3 times before someone understood what i was talking about!

The room was spacious, comfortable and the perfect temperature. We ate dinner at the restaurant and breakfast the next morning and the food was great and the spa facilities also Made our stay more enjoyable.

The hotel was ok. Bearing in mind the hotel is next to the racing track, the windows are terrible therefore making the room extremely noisy. More can be done with the sports bar, not to inviting.

Very good arrived on my motorcycle staff let me store my gear while I went into track. Very helpful when I was in my motorcycle gear both days.room was an updated room very clean and light.shower was very good after a hot day. Had breakfast next morning everything was good plenty of choices. Will stay again it’s just price at some of the bigger meetings.

We enjoyed our stay but found the night receptionist unpleasant. We asked her about room service and I paid £40 on my card. We then rang room service from our room that went through to reception. The next day I discovered I had lost my card, it had been left on the desk and the receptionist did not tell me over the phone that I had left my card there. I found her unfriendly and blunt. The room service night menu is very basic and £15 for a small curry was extortionate - perhaps prices should be lowered as it was very expensive for what seemed like a microwave meal! Otherwise we had a fantastic stay, we have stayed at the Mercure twice now and hope to visit again.

My stay was great. Room was very clean and tidy. Downside was shower kept running hot and cool and air con controller didn't work although air con was nice and cold.
