Room great for price. Breakfast same. Disappointed the spa closed early in a Sunday as we didn't get to use it and was one of the reasons for booking this hotel!

Enjoyed a comfy bed, didn't think much of the bathroom, staff at front desk very friendly and helpful, amazed at the £119 that I paid didn't include breakfast, have been in nicer hotels with ought the price tag inclusive of breakfast for 2... The lunch was beautiful, steak panini, except when it was ordered the server said oh it only comes with salad and crisps, you might want some side dishes, I chose chunky chips.... He tried to push the chicken wings and garlic bread, but I said no.. So as I paid paninis were stunning, and huge, I had to give half of mine to my partner, so God knows if we had all the side dishes, would've been a waste. The chunky chips, however, not what I expected. Oven chips.. Cheap oven chips not completely cooked and stale tasting with an off understate, needless to say they didn't end up being eaten..... So overall.... Yep alright but overpriced

« Double payment taken for our stay due to holding payment.Otherwise great. »

Fantastic......apart from instead of £900 coming off my available funds in my bank account £1800 came off. NOT GOOD. Sort your system out ,take full payment at the start of the stay.Take photo id and a deposit towards the room being damaged. This was wrong. I booked 3 rooms for 3 nightsand We were thinking of coming back with more people but not if this happens

« Much better than I expected »

I booked the hotel then read the reviews which made me concerned about our imminent stay. WELL I needn’t have worried about the comments that mentioned a dirty hotel, everywhere we went the rooms & corridors were spotless. There was also a comment about no hot water early in the morning but my 6am shower was piping hot. Breakfast service was of Hilton standard so a good experience and we will return when next visiting family in the area.

we felt that the food had let down the stay creamy fish no variety , no chicken cold rice , and not having any one around who actually did the booking with us. felt we needed more support with setting up the audio equipment. Rooms were nice. Spa limited use ladies unable to be together .

The receptionist was lovely though the manager/supervisor seemed to have little faith in her. Due to a wedding and a private function, I was grateful for calm weather when having to walk outside from the role to Reception. The bar was inaccessible due to the volume of wedding guests. Though Reception asked if we wanted to dine there implying it was empty.

Place resembles a mix of a Premier Inn and an Old People’s home. Nonchalant reception staff. We had a suite, just to get king sized bed. Polyester sheets, foam pillows. OK it was cheap but worse than expected.

When we arrived the room wasn’t ready for us but we did receive a drink on the house . The pool experience was awful there was a large party of people arrived and all went to the pool at the same time . It was overcrowded and people got into the pool mainly clothed and we were asked if we could get out to let other people in when we only got in about 10 minutes ago . The sauna was in poor state and. needed finishing their was a plank of wood broken and hygiene was a concern .

Although I stayed for 30 days I felt that I was just another guest at a busy hotel. I would have liked the front desk staff to say hello/greeting when I came in in the evening but I never felt particularly welcome. Peter who ran the Bar/ Restaurant was excellent, he made all the difference. There was confusion regarding my laundry and the front desk asked for him as acting manager to come out. He dealt with it in a very professional manner.
