« Overall good, tea/coffee facilities and their replenshiment by housekeeping disappointing »

I stayed for three nights, I had complimentary water in my room, if I used it one night it was not then replaced by housekeeping the next day

Great location. Also good that you have car parking available nearby. My only criticism would be the very small bathroom and the shower leaked over the bathroom floor.

Ordered breakfast in bed - didn’t arrive on both days. Then attempted to charge as they said they couldn’t refund. . Room dirty and towels grubby.. extremely loud and restless sleep

« Good stay ruined by poor customer service »

Liked the location of the hotel, nice room clean and comfy beds, staff all very friendly. The disappointment was after the stay, I had left a phone charger in the room, notified the hotel the next day, took 3 attempts to get a response, eventually called and asked for a direct email for the manager to get a response, who passed this onto housekeeping and never took ownership himself. Annoyed that a big hotel group like this aren't able to deal with something so simple as 'lost property'.

A comfortable stay in a well positioned hotel with pleasant front of house staff. That said I dined in the hotel bar where the table service was poor. Meal arrived without a smile and no condiments - had to ask at the bar for these. Arrival could have been improved by receiving a communication with a map showing clearly the location of the hotel car park. Although I received a text with a post code on the day, this didn’t help as I was driving alone. Consequently I had to stop and park up at reception to ask where the car park was.

« Absolutely brilliant »

We booked a superior room for a Christmas visit and suggested the previous stay's room no. . When we arrived it was the same wonderful room. We pre-booked Champagne for arrival, Tattinger, not some cheap rubish, breakfast simple but very satisfying, views from room excellent, thanks once again, will be back soon.

The room had a bad smell, the paint was falling off everywhere, I was offered breakfast and was told breakfast starts at 6:30AM only to be told by a rude lady that breakfast starts at 7:30AM, I will not visit this hotel again

« A comfy room marred by bad weather »

Privilege room was spacious and warm despite one wall being single glazed. Great view of the Mersey but a lot of outside road and wind noise (9th floor) due to that single glazing. My room was a connecting room also which allowed a lot of noise from the neighbours who promptly left, presumably to change rooms, when I came back in the evening. The standard of the room was good though and the staff friendly so if noise is no bother then this a very well priced and situated hotel.

« Good value, excellent view »

Booked for first week in January, hotel was very quiet which was good. Room was ready really early which was appreciated. The view (Liver Building and waterfront) was excellent and quite lovely in the dark when it was all lit up. The room was very nice (Privilege Room) but slightly let down by the leak on the shower screen at the pivot point at the middle of the bath rim. Bathroom floor covered with water, sacrificed one of the towels to mop it up and used it to soak up the water the next time the shower was used. Breakfast was about average and was rather cold (08:30), the fried eggs had been there some time so settled for scrambled. If it isn't included in the rate next time, I would go elsewhere.

We had a wonderful experience. This was soured though over the charge for breakfast on checking out. The website quoted an all inclusive rate, including the room, the function and breakfast. The girl I booked with confirmed it included breakfast. The booking confirmation didn't have any details about the room or breakfast, just the function. The booking confirmation should have been more precise.
