« A relaxing stay in a wonderful city »

This hotel is ideally situated for the waterfront attractions and easily within walking distance of the cathedrals and other buildings of interest. Our room had a river view as requested when we booked. There was a good choice of food at breakfast. There was a festival on the waterfront during our stay with music playing until 10.30pm. This was not the fault of the hotel, obviously, but if you want to avoid anything of this nature then its a good idea to research what is happening in the city before you book. I will definitely return to Liverpool and to this hotel.

« Great location and great value »

I stayed at the Mercure Atlantic Tower recently with friends whilst visiting Liverpool. The location is excellent and well within walking distance of all the main tourist type attractions. The hotel has very limited parking which is pretty tight if you have a large car or SUV style vehicle. The better option for me was the Commercial car park just around the corner (remember to ask the reception for the discount). The room was compact but totally big enough for an overnight stay. We had a great view across to the Liver Buildings and the Pier Head which was excellent. The shower was a great size and the bed really comfortable. We decided not to eat in the hotel as you are spoilt for choice in Liverpool with decent restaurants and bars for evening meals, breakfast or even brunch. The hotel staff are really helpful and friendly which was excellent also. I would have no issue staying again next time we are visiting.

« Friendly staff. Great Service »

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size , and the air con system was perfect for the very warm weather. My only problem with my stay was that on the day of my departure when I was about to use the shower there were no towels in the bathroom and I rang reception to ask for some and they arrived very quickly and I was asked by the housekeeper who delivered them asked me if there was any towels or bath mats in the room And I said there wasn’t and she apologised for and inconvenience that it had caused.

Our stay was arranged for my husbands 40th birthday and we were given an upgraded room which was nice. However when we arrived at the stated time our room was not ready so we Were asked to wait. We were given a complimentary drink while we waited. The bar terrace is in need of a little attention. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were booked to go to another place as another planned visit for my husbands birthday and had to rush to get ready due to the hold up with room. The hotel was clean and nicely presented although in some areas is in need of some attention. The breakfast was nice although the coffee was very bitter and the pain au chocolate were too dry to eat.

« Good hotel near to the station we came in on and our room was fine »

Staff were helpful, bed comfortable and the bath we needed was as requested in advance. We would stay with Mercure if we came back to Liverpool. Only issue was being unable to pick up Wi-Fi on our smartphone. As soon as we entered the hotel Mercure was mentioned under our phone Wi-Fi, it was also confirmed as being connected. The staff were unable to help and we presumed it was our phone.

The hotel is beautiful and my room had the most amazing view which really made my stay. my only problem was that the aircon wasn't working on what was a very hot day. The person who greeted me at reception was friendly as where the bar and restaurant staff.

« Overall very good but let down by minor points. »

Nice room with a great view as requested. Some minor points: walls at the side of the bed were grubby with marks where things had been spilled and footprints! Perhaps a wipe-clean finish would be better. Restaurant and breakfast very pricey, so much so that we went elsewhere for meals. Also room wasn't ready at 2pm and it was about 3.15pm before we could get in.

Booked the room by telephone male receptionist had very poor grasp of the English language,entered the restaurant at 8.30 pm to find all tables set for breakfast ( last orders supposedly 9.30 pm) we where the only people in yet it took 45 minutes for our meal to arrive on ordering a bottle of wine waiter disappeared for 20 mins and returned to say that they didn’t have the requested wine in the bar may have one in the cellar but he didn’t have access to the cellar therefore he could only offer a Chilean merlot which was no better than a £5 supermarket wine yet was priced at £22.50 having finished our meal we moved in to the lounge area to find every unoccupied table full of empty glasses and dish’s with the bar/ waiting staff quite happily chatting to each other behind the bar. For breakfast there was a reasonable choice however all the “ hot” offerings were tepid at best For the price of £120 per room b&b I expected a much better experience needless to say I will not be returning

Dinner in restaurant - rump of lamb so tough couldn't cut even cut it with a steak knife! Sent back to kitchen. Chose a different replacement meal. Offered free desserts. Spent nearly £50 not worth it. Returned to room at 4 p.m. - bed unmade, no clean towels, room not serviced. Reception sent maid who didn't understand English. Breakfast on last day - rolls so hard and stale you could have built a brick wall with them!

I found the hotel without issue. I was upgraded to suite and given two drinks vouchers for the bar, which was a nice touch. The impressions of the hotel were good, but it looked a bit run-down. The room was spacious and had a nice view. The air conditioning worked well, and the room facilities were good. I recall being unable to work the remote control and switch on the TV (possibly a complicated exercise, although I have similar experience in other hotels and at home of completing the same task successfully). Breakfast was ok, with its usual disappointments (I continue to be at a loss, as to why hotel breakfasts are such a low standard), and limited selections. Check out was quick, but the promised email receipt did not arrive - I wondered if the receptionist recorded my email address incorrectly, but then I did receive your survey, so you do have the correct email address.

Staff superb. View from room magnificent. We were tight for time at breakfast time. We arrived 6.30am,however, there was a very large party queuing for breakfast. Hence we could not get a decent breakfast in the 30 minutes we had available. Otherwise we had a good time. Thank you. John C.
