As a regular There has been a vast improvement since the takeover of Accor, however, since improving the bedrooms you have left the bathrooms looking still tired. The bath towels could be a bit more substantial. Thin and small. Light missing in bathroom for the 3 nights I was there! Room 238. Charging clients for parking appears to have been stopped unless there was a mistake. One reason I stopped staying.

one single but very important note your pillows are to hard and you don't give an option for soft ie two hard two soft I stay most weeks but last weeks was the worst the pillow were so bad a made my own

Great staff. Had to get up in the middle of the night to sleep on the sofa as the beds were so hard. I prefered the old softer mattresses. I was told there's a topper. You wouldn't know it.

« Excellent facilities and perfect balance of non-intrusive support from Staff. »

Checked in at the Mercure Hotel on the day of family Wedding spending one night there. The Wedding Ceremony was held in the Hotel and throughout the proceedings the Staff were both supportive and accommodating. The Reception was held in a beautifully prepared marquee which had the benefit of a covered walkway to the actual Hotel. The Wedding Breakfast and the evening Buffet were exceptionally tasty and more than sufficient for all. The booked entertainment was accommodated comfortably and the Staff ensured that all our wishes were met. At the end of a beautiful Wedding we retired to our excellent sleeping accommodation, and before leaving enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast. Thank you ‘Mercure’

We were at the hotel for my daughter’s wedding, and everything was brilliant; the whole event went off like a dream. We were so well looked after during the wedding, and meeting up and chatting at breakfast the morning after was delightful. This weekend has made special memories that will last a lifetime.

the comfort and cleanliness was lovely. only things not good were only 1 towel was left in the bathroom when there are 2 guests and the tv remote did not work. i wrote a note to the cleaners then spoke to another staff but no one fixed it over the 3 nights we stayed there.

The staff here are great always good I feel and helpful but the room I had was single bed and I have my preferences set as a double but couldn't be bothered to see if they had a better room. I have had issues over point allocations that the hotel was more than happy to help on unlike your woeful customer service, who make you feel cheated and not interested to the point I nearly stopped using this hotel. But as said the staff make it and rooms are normally excellent.
