Alcove Hotel Seoul is a beautiful hotel in a great area. It was nice to get back to my room after a long day to a quiet and safe neighborhood. The hotel is just a few minutes walking straight ahead from Exit 3 of the Seojungneung Station. My room had large windows, which I love because I like natural light, but noise was still minimal when time for bed. The room itself was clean and comfortable and aesthetically beautiful. Customer service was always pleasant when I asked questions at the reception desk. I actually forgot my computer bag in my hotel room and had to go back in a hurry with possible chance of missing my flight, but when I called ahead to ask about my bag they were quick to call me back to double check my room. To save time I asked if it was possible to meet me at the train station to hand me my bag because I was so short of time - the front desk in charge at the time went out of her way to meet me in a hurry. I still missed my flight, but I appreciate the effort and service. I would definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay in Seoul, largely in part of The Alcove Hotel. The hotel itself was stylish, clean, comfortable, and well-located (in a nice neighborhood with walking access to the subway and airport bus). The staff were helpful and it was easy for me to converse with them in English. I particularly found useful the currency exchange service and international electric plugs.

Location, staff, service was great , room division manager Kim was always available when i need. Breakfast is only area need to be upgrade: such as salad and whole wheat bread.

Nice staff and view from hotel. Surprisingly marble room and anywhere. But . There are no restaurant to have a lunch or dinner at the moments. Looking forward to seeing soon again.

The first time visiting Alcove, we gave feedback to the team for improvement. As the hotel was very very new then, they were still trying to figure out where to put the soap... or whether there was enough sockets in the room. Everything we mentioned was rectified in this visit plus more. Great work!

Room was nice however there were fundamental problems. First room the a/c was not working properly nor was the ventilation rendering the room to be more than 28 degrees. Engineering came and tried to say this was normal. One of the front desk ladies suggested i just sleep with the window open. However this was quickly solved by the night manager on duty. She moved me to a new room at my request. This room the ventilation was working perfectly however the hot water takes a few minutes to heat up.

I booked the room at the same day, so didn't have time to read all the reviews and just trusted all the information that the hotel.com website provided. Room even that small, was comfy and well located, just wish more pictures could portrait better the real size of the room. First problem was when i tried to use the air conditioner, wouldn't turn on and when i called front desk they explained that was off in our room so we had to sleep with the window open a was little noise. At night time, i was excited to visit the roof top bar that was described and showed in the pictures, but i was told that they were under contruction. So i try to ask a juice from room service for my fiance, but again... nobody in the hotel could serve us anything because of the "construction", not even snacks or dinner. Plus, breakfast was also cancelled....hotel....without....breakfast.....(i work with hotels and still manage some back in my country, and this is not acceptable ). Me and my fiance left around 4 pm our room for some walk outside but before i called front desk and asked for some room cleaning ( i apologize for the time but i asked at least change the towels and remove the trash), but for my surprise, when we came back 6 hours later, the room was untouched. Besides the cleaning fiasco, EVERYTHING that happen could have being explainned to me when i did check in, u would never had stayed that if i knew that i would not have access to a bar, food, room service or anything. I would have preffer u changed the info, even about air conditioner, at the website so other guests can have the same complains. Every business go through some construction/remodeling but is an absurd not explain that at first hand to your guest prior the check in. Even a little apologize for the inconvenient letter or some simple courtesy snack would be appreciated. Seriously disappointed. And fortunately for you, my fiance didn't write this review because she wanted to post all that bad experience in other websites and blogs too. I just want you guys to understand my disappointment and hope to hear that you will fix your Hotel page information so other guest don't need to go through the same.

It was such a pleasant stay. The hotel is brand new and well designed. Staffs are courteous and kind, and they spoke perfect English. 2 minutes walk from the Seon-jeong-neung staition and there are many places to eat around the area. 3 bottles of Fiji water and couple of chocolate snacks were very thoughtul. And the amenities in the bathroom were actually the best ones I ever had in a hotel. (I usually never like use them) If you are looking for a comfortable stay in Gangnam area this will be the choice.

Looked great on paper, rooftop bar looked great, this is the reason i chose this property. Arrived and it was closed and never opened. I really feel cheated and ripped off. There was also no proper breakfast, i paid for this in advance. - really poor.
