« Not super helpful or knowledgeable front desk staff, breakfast and parking was a mess »

I needed to interact with the front desk staff a few times, I found them often not taking any extra step at all to be helpful to the guests and/or make sure they understood about the hotel and it's arrangements. The staff member who checked us in was very unhelpful about the parking (how crazy is it that you need to park on the top of a hill outside of a 5* resort?) and explained little to nothing about our stay/the hotel and what we could book via them or not (I don't even know if this hotel had a spa as never mentioned)... not a 5 star hotel in my opinion although the pool/pool bar staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were always chaotic and more than once I had to ask multiple times to the staff to get a coffee (and you can't even serve your own tea either), they'd just forget, you could tell they had no real pleasure in being there and in doing their jobs. That dining experience surely can be managed better (it turned us off from even thinking of eatig at the hotel restaurant for dinner)

Overall the Hotel is ok. It has a good Location and the Design is beautiful. The breakfast was very good. On the other side the service was poor. We got a wrong room (without a balcony) and with a street and rock view instead of a balcony with mountain view. After the complaints we got a new room in which the wifi was deactivated. We need to tell the reception twice to solve the problem. The service during the breakfast was very poor, on some days I waited over 30 minutes for the coffee, even If i told the waiter 3 times that I'm waiting for the coffee.

Had an excellent apartment (215) with large balcony and a view over the reception courtyard to the boats, fjord and sea. Concierge, pool, lifeguards, spa all excellent. Breakfast spread very good. However, something needs to be done about the wasps which detract from the enjoyment of breakfast. We sat indoors every day but it made no difference. Tanit restaurant fantastic - food, service, wines, atmosphere, views. Legami (Japanese) restaurant food and service superb but lacking atmosphere. Left early (6.30am) on final day and requested a few pastries. Given a bag with some drinks, two packets of cold dry toast and small bottles (jam I assume). Had some drinks but threw the rest away. Very disappointing given the quality of the rest of the experience and our simple request for a few pastries.

Infrastructure of the hotel is great. Service wise I think it is very cold and impersonal, especially coming from an Italian staff. I also always expect mre when I am staying at Sofitel globally (i've stayed in other places and it was way way better). We also had an issue while requesting a hair dryer. It took me 2 hours to learn that they haven't found any hairdryer. I called the reception twice during this 2 hour period and they informed they were managing the issue and that I should expect the hair dryer in a couple minutes (never came). Long story short, i went down at the reception and complained. guess what? 30 minutes later they send a manager with the hair dryer. I also think the diversity of the menu for room service is very very poor especially considering we are in Italy. I hope you guys could improve more on that front.

« A disaster reception service »

How can an Accor Hotel with 5 starts have a such unpleasant reception team? As I am used to traveling around the world for job and pleasure, I have the Platinium Accor member card. I can tell you that for the last three years, you have won the Oscar of the unpleasantness services of all the 4 and 5* hotels I had the chance to visit. You should renew most of the team at the hotel reception. For example, two of them lie to me, saying no upper room was available. I had to show them of my iPhone apps that they were wrong... We booked two rooms/appartements I had to wait for the 1h10 to get our luggage into the room and 45 min in the other one. Even the nanny we booked, get to the reception once to make them move... Thank goodness we are in 2017, and there is Tripadvisor for that kind of attitude to be known, and as I have already read on it, I am not the only person to complain about it. DO SOMETHING!

« Nice room and excellent breakfast, poor service »

Nice room => I was not upgraded as it is supposed to be for a platinum member Excellent breakfast => quality food and nice omelette corner, I would like to mention Paulo (maitre) is an excellent host Poor service: - catastrophic check out, the front office lady (around 50-55 years old) asked me to pay, even if the room was prepaid with my points => hopefully a nice lady (Lamia) was here to save the situation - guest relation: poor advices from Svetlana, i did manage my reservations by myself Overall the hotel is very well located, the breakfast has an amazing view. I would have loved more personal attention from the staff and the management

I know you want to use these surveys to improve your hotel, but what is there to improve?? Staying here really 'made' our two week roundtrip to Sardegna. It felt like a home away from home and made us hate the fact we had to go back to the Netherlands. We loved the staff! There is really no exception in any station that was less considerate of our feelings. We had a very friendly, warm and flexible check in. We were very well cared for at the conciërge desk booking our complimentery beach trips. Our battery of the safe and the remote controll of the AC went down (this is NOT a complaint; there is nothing you can do about it, these things happen!) were both replaced very quickly. We really loved the hospitality ladies at the separate desk in the hallway that go out of their way arranging stuff and think 'out of the box' and in solutions. Breakfast is a dream at the harbour scene and very well catered and served. My compliments! Didn't have lunch at therestaurant but several snacks and drinks at the pool that were very good. WiFi is very good, and we are very spoiled in that area since we live in Holland were WiFi is quite fast. Scenery (Gardens etc) are very well taken care of and housekeeping is very efficiënt and does a very good job cleaning in both the hotel and the room. We stayed in a 1 bedroom Appartment Room 214 that was very well equipped. Only thing we missed was a small coffee maker like a nespresso machine. Guest that are complaining here really have to stop drinking vinagar! There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to complain about! As for price/quality..... perfect!! All the facilities you need in the direct area and only 10 minutes max away from porto cervo. Given time and money we would live in the hotel. Again.... guests complaining here really have to get two feet on the ground again. We will for sure be back.....

« Rescued our holiday! »

Very last minute as we were staying in the harbour on a boat which had a problem. Booked direct through Accor and got a very good rate. Room, pool and beach access extremely good. Breakfast buffet outstanding. Attentiveness of all staff made it a very special place to stay.

Disappointed that our bedroom was right next to car park & busy road. No special treatment as platinum member they didn't seem to care. Staff at breakfast were very good & tried hard. No tea or coffee in room & not available until 9.30 which is not acceptable

The place is good, but overall the room was not as clean, bugs were there, smelly sometimes. Also the staff at the recipetion was not very helpful specially at check in. We felt that a language barrier existed.

Lovely jr suite with everything we needed. Faboulous breakfast with a view of the beautiful harbour. Immacculate and friendly service. The fitness room needs an upgrade. Several machines out of order. Still, we love this place. This was our second stay and we will surely come back.
