Staff there were so friendly and they do care about customers

Our room was clean, with efficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed. But it was lucky we were only staying one night, as the meanly sized and poorly laid out space was not big enough for two people. There was power and a tiny bedside table on one side of the bed only. The hand basin for the toilet was in the main room, which is kind of weird. The wall-mounted TV was much too large in the tiny room, awkward and uncomfortable to watch. There wasn't enough floor space for two suitcases to be open at the same time. The shower was one of those stupid "rain from the sky" types, totally wrong for the very small space as it was impossible not to be under a full blast at all times. Also, I was irritated by the "free wifi" of the website, only to be told "free mediocre wifi, pay extra for normal speed wifi" when I log in. Gah, it's 2019, proper wifi is not an extra any more. I'm complaining like a grumpy middle aged traveller - which is how I was after spending twenty-mumble hours flying from London. But, you asked! I've stayed in other Ibis branded hotels in various countries, this was the smallest and most awkward room ever.

Really enjoyed the experience and have booked in for 2 nights each week for the next three months!

When I booked it didn't ask for card payment. It said I needed to pay by 7pm or I could lose the room. I ended up racing across the city between meetings to do this. Wasn't great. The rest was good.

Very nice and I would return

All good, I got in late. Took quite sometime to check in. I lined up in the priority line (Accor plus) and I was kind of ignored and she checked in two other people before me from the normal line. I was a bit confused how the whole thing works.

Prime location easy access to all directions. Warm hospitality from all staffs there.

The room was clean and fresh. It had everything we needed. (although a extra towel would have been nice). The hotel was well located. The staff were very pleasant. Check in went almost smoothly. Breakfast was very good.

My partner and I were displaced due to an issue at our apartment block, within Melbourne's CBD. We were required to find accommodation rapid. Initially we booked 48 hours, and the following day we then requested a further 48 hours of accommodation at the Ibis Hotel - given the time of year (Luna New Year) the hotel capacity was at max, which left us seeking accommodation elsewhere. Lodgings were made at a hotel located on Collins Street (3 nights were booked) upon arrival at the new hotel, I did not feel welcomed by staff, and when entering the room - when compared to the accommodation we had just been in, I was not happy with the facilities (taking into consideration that we were paying an increase in price for the Collins Street hotel). I decided to cancel two out of the three nights, and to try regain accommodation back at the Ibis Melbourne Central. Luckily enough Ibis staff were able to book a room for the following day. My partner and I have been residing at Ibis Melbourne Central now for a fortnight, had it not been for the stuff and facilities, we simply would not be here. After this experience I would happily use Accor Hotels wherever I travel. Homage to hotel staff.

Comfortable bed though double is a bit on the small side these days. Excellent breakfast included. Very friendly staff.

Location - good - near tram stop, shops, malls. Right in the CBD area. Room - small - very tight space, no space to put 2 24" luggage. Mirror doesn't serve any purpose because the way it was mounted was weird especially if you need to shave. It was stressful in the mornings. Did not get any room upgrade despite the Gold Accor status and prior communication arrangement with the hotel Secretary. Was not even informed upgraded room was not available at check in. Two bottles of water were given every afternoon - someone knocked on the door to literally give them to me - something I've never experienced in other hotels before - I thought bottled water usually come when the room is being cleaned. Was given a hard almost expired small piece of cheesecake which I didn't dare to eat as a welcome item. Other than these, the room is pretty new, clean, power shower worked well but the tv lacks interesting channels apart from the weirdly large tv as compared to the room size.

Comfortable stay, centrally located within easy access public transport, foods and entertainment venues. Value for money on promotion (at 40% on rack rate).

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, really close to everything. Easy access, altho the check in and check out process took awhile. The room was awesome, bigger than I expected. Overall, it was a great stay, would totally recommend to all.
