« Unbelievably dirty hotel »

I found 5 mosquitoes/flies in the toilet when I checked in, also, toilet gets all wet after my showers as water gets through the glass partition. Was really busy this trip and did not get time to complain when I was there. Nightmare!

Clean room. Terrible bathroom toilet setup. Not good to shower and dress in the "bathroom". Everything would get wet. You have to dress in the room after stepping out of shower. There is no privacy. The room is tiny and there are no wardrobes. The room would suit an overnight visitor who did not need to access clothing daily that has to otherwise remain in suitcases. I have travelled with a friend and found this room very difficult to dress and toilet with any privacy. Dining great

I decided to use my accor plus privilege and book the hotel to celebrate my parents anniversary. The hotel is about 2 years old only. The location of the hotel is very good. Walking distance to Bugis Plus mall and Bugis junction mall. Its also located in the center of the city. Upon arrival, the hotel staff didn’t acknowledge us by greeting or welcoming us at the entrance or even smile at us.. They were busy talking to themselves. Once we walk towards the check-in counter, check-in agent Issac welcome us with a warm smile. While Issac doing his check-In procedure, I checked Issac did the hotel receive on the special message I requested when I doing the booking through accorhotel website. He said there isn’t any message. Then I notice that its so sad accorhotel booking website disappointed he once again. This isn’t the first time the message to hotel wasn’t send over when we book the hotel through their website. Issac apologize on behalf of accorwebsite and took our special request again. Once we arrive at the room, it was clean and nice. However the room is really small. We booked the signature loft. There is always a saying don’t judge the book by its cover. In situation I trusted from the picture I saw online, I thought the room will be big. However it turn out to be small. Don’t aspect for great service from the staff. The only one we encounter smiling to us is Issac, not even the manager on duty smile or acknowledge the guest. The GM really need to look into the customer service skills. Other then that it’s a clean hotel, room and great location.

Above average for a mecure hotel - only negative aspect was I had a room with mezzanine , my choice, -the design made it easy to hit ones head on the staircase - warnings nor withstanding

The staff are very friendly and welcoming and are on hand for any of your needs. This was our second stay at the Mercure in as many months and the service was very good each time. This time we stayed with our adult children and shared our room with our son and whilst there is a sofa that converts into a bed it takes up all the available floor space and is very uncomfortable. As platinum members we had access to the exec lounge which was very nice and had a reasonable selection of buffet snacks but it is small and can be cramped, the table are too small for two standard size plates. The roof terrace is very nice and the pool very welcoming although the fitness suite is compact. Location is good for the MRT. Next time we go to Singapore we would be quite happy returning to the Mercure Bugis.

Hotel locate in very good location, near the bus stop and shopping/dining place, staff are very nice. However, I book 3 room for this trip, some day, some of our room has no Soap/Shampoo replace, I got a new tower but they don't brought the old one, which it should not happen with 4star hotel

We had a very pleasant week with you to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We were very pleased with the proximity to shopping, Clarke Quay,Museums, Arab Street all with within an easy walk. Our only suggestion would be to do with breakfast and that is that heated plates be available for the cooked meals and eggs on offer.

« Lovely hotel let down by bedroom design »

The hotel foyer, pool, location, decor, reception, cleanliness, staff, are all fabulous. I would not stay again though because the bedroom design is terrible in our opinion. The toilet is in the bedroom next to the bed with very minimal screening that is open like a stall, as is the shower. Also, the bad design of these, precludes having much storage space. The designers of these rooms would do well to look at how cabins on a ship are laid out, the room size much the same but toilet/shower secluded and more private, with wardrobe separating the bed from bathroom. It was a low-class room in a top-class hotel .... designers of rooms really let the hotel down. The bed was comfortable, the TV good. The wifi was good. Airconditioner good, lifts good. Everything else in this hotel is good, such a let-down that the big, ugly, badly-encased toilet/shower stalls dominate the room!!

The location of the hotel is good. It close to Bugis Market. About 10 minutes of walking distance from Bugis MRT station. The sound insulation is fair. One unpleasant experience is that a staff, with a note on hand, rang and knocked the door to remind me the check out time around 9am (when I was still on the bed). She mentioned that my check out time would be 12 noon. However I had confirmed with the receptionist a day before that my check out time could be at 1pm.
