« Good location, helpful staff but tiny rooms! »

Stay was comfortable but room was much smaller than expected. Staff were very helpful and responsive. Had an incident with room safe and staff responded within minutes to fix it. Ate at the restaurant and the food was super slow to be cooked - to the point the waitress had to apologise

Hotel location is really good, reasonable prices, room facilities are also abundant, but the bathroom facilities are dilapidated, and the washboard is a bit odor.Almost staff as nice and helpful. In particular, the food and beverage department staff will voluntarily inquire whether there is a membership card and provide discounts.

1. The AC adjusts itself automatically, which is not very friendly to one who just recovered from fever. 2. And there's no a locker room for the infinity pool, which left me a little bit worried about my belongings when i was swimming.

We enjoyed everything about this hotel except one thing. Location, new property, food and service in the restaurant and lounge, welcoming at reception... but, wow, we were not ready for how small the rooms are! And, small room is one thing but the shower is so tiny, with the door opening inwards, that it is actually a safety hazard.

« Perfect location »

Location was perfect for traveler. MRT and shopping mall even included many restaurants are very close to hotel. However, I found there was stain in the cup and bathrobe after entered the room. Hopefully housekeeper will more care the cleanliness about amenities in room. Without above issue, overall was very nice!!

Mercure Bugis has a great location, helpful staff and a basic design flaw. There's no real space to hang or store your gear if you're settling in for more than a day. The mezzanine rooms look great but having a mattress on the floor with not a hook, drawer or closet is incredibly inconvenient.

The location is brilliant with a short stroll to all the best locations. The amenities in the Hotel are comfortable. The staff are helpful and very friendly. Latest check out is 12 pm and the Hotel will keep you luggage which is very helpful. The possibility of putting the suitcase under the bed was great as the room is not large enough to leave them standing free. There is lack of hanging space if you stay longer . Overall a great stay thanks to Accor

As a frequent user of Accor I was happy with our six day stay. All was attended to with professionalism . We were not able to get an upgrade to a larger room as the hotel was full and we had trouble accommodating our luggage. There was no ability to hang clothes and as we were there for a business week, we had many things to hang up. We managed, but I think in future you should consider a small hanging space and some storage shelves. The coffee spot is not required really and you could use this space.

the hotel was OK, good buffet, plenty of eating places nearby and very friendly service from hotel. we booked 2 connecting rooms and finally we got it although we had to wait for 1.5 hrs because there were still guests in it, but were satisfied to get a room with a unique connecting type coz there was a small space connecting two doors to put the baby stroller and shoes. Compared with another Mercure, the Bugis size is very small especially with bringing kids and families so that the space of motion is reduced..

I was a regular visitor of Singapore; and always stayed at Ibis Bencoolen. I decided to try to get an experience of staying at Mercure Bugis on my last visit to Singapore from 7-11 May 2018. Knowing that the room rate was higher than Ibis Bencoolen, I expected to have more pleasing experience at Mercure Bugis. The checked-in process was okay. It took me 15-20 minutes for the receptionist to complete my check-in process. For me, it was one of longest check-in time in Accor Group hotels; especially in this case I already completed the check-in online. Thus, in total I have to stand up for more than half an hour in the receptionist area (there was one guest being served before me). I couldn't wait at the special line for Accor Gold because the staff was busy serving non-member guests. Ironic. And, I felt that all front desk staff were just being polite and helpful, but not friendly. They're just efficient. For me, efficient staff relate more to budget hotels, not Mercure-level. The room was clean. The layout was unique, but in terms of coziness the room is not significantly different from the ones offered by Ibis. I can't complain anything about the room. The Internet connection was also satisfactory. What made me really angry was my experience with the front desk staff the night before my departure. My flight back to Indonesia was on 8pm, therefore I decided to go to the front desk to ask whether I could extend my check-out time. I went down to the front desk and ask for the extension. I said 'I am from 602, I'd like to ask whether I can extend my check-out time until 2 or 3pm" The female staff - without checking on the computer - said "We can extend your check-out time until 1pm, if you want to check out after 1pm you have to pay. We will charge you." "But I was an Accor member - I think I can extend my check-out time a bit later than 1pm" She replied to me - still without checking on the computer "If you are a member, then you should come and ask us tomorrow morning whether we can give you the extension. If not, and you still want to extend, you will be charged." I read the welcoming letter from the GM and I know that he mentioned about the extension; check-out time can be extended based on room availability. But after receiving the informative-but-not-so-pleasing response from the Front Desk, I got an impression that "based on room availability" statement is just an excuse from the hotel to refuse any extension request. The front desk staff hid behind the statement "based on room availability" to refuse any request of check-out extension. I am a Gold member (should be entitled for an extension) - stayed 4 nights at the hotel, and being treated like that. I know that there might be a room availability problem, but the way she responded to my inquiry - without checking on the profile of guests asking questions - was an indication that I wasn't important enough for Mercure. This level of service I received from Mercure was a big big big different from the one I always received from Ibis. The hotel always said that I could check-out at 4pm when I checked-in. Not to mention that the Ibis staff were always smiling and more friendly to the guests. I know that for sure, because I stayed at Ibis for 3 days (4-7 May 2018) right before I moved to Mercure. I should've stayed at Ibis the whole week.

« I feed great as the room design is so compact. But the only thing I concern I need to access the stairs go to bed or go to washroom during midnight. »

« House Keeping have room for improvement »

Everything are wonderful except House Keeping. Very good and helpful staff in Lounge Jerry Tan in the morning, great conversation with Korean staff during happy-hour. Very enjoyable in Lounge. House Keeping have room to improve, I don't got fill up of toilet amenities, shaver kit, toothbrush, cotton swab, towel (bath, hand, etc). Called House Keeping, no one pickup, called 2424 then need to wait 30mins for delivery shaver. In the next day, House Keeping is fill up amenities and few towels, but they didn't provide the floor towel. Bottle of water, first day, I got 4 bottles, second day got 3, third day got 2. Very strange and inconsistent service delivery. Strange!

« Misleading Photos »

Stayed here for a conference, for the price of the room and based on the photos I was expecting something a bit more than what we got. The room was TINY. Between the bed and the toilet there was less than 30 cms. The photos on the website do not show this and instead seem to show spacious rooms. We stayed in room 1002. Breakfast was cold every day, the only tasty thing was the bread and butter pudding. Bacon cold, chewy, overcooked. Sausages, cold. The only redeeming feature of this hotel were the staff.

It was extremly good experiance while staying seven nights with my family. Staff, Cleanliness, food, interior and specially my kids enjoyed the pool. Keep it up good work and little improve room service to get 10 out of 10.
