« Nice Hotel but average facilities »

Check in was quick, polite and helpful. Room was comfortable, but a bit small for cost. Very limited restaurant food choice, only two choices on the board, which was very expensive for what it was. Also breakfast was far too expensive for a very limited selection of basic food.

« As usual, good hotel, friendly staff and good service »

Very friendly team and the personal touch always makes me feel welcome at the hotel. Due to lost luggage the team provided me with complimentary toiletries which was appreciated. Only issue was the room was very cold and the heating kept switching off every 30 minutes

« Highly desappointed by a Mercure hotel »

Welcome was done among a crowd of young player from PSG that were very very noisy. The room was very very cold and it took a while to get a decent temperature to sleep. No room service was available while it was barely 10:00 PM.

Pleasant stay, room was cosy, nice shower, clean and plenty of towels. Had to ask for more milk as there wasn’t enough for a drink at night and one first thing in the morning. Road down to hotel quite muddy as it had been raining also coming back to hotel in the dark, no lighting I wouldn’t have liked walking on my own.

Staff excellent. Rooms comfortable. Very difficult(and muddy)trying to find the hotel in the dark. Was kept awake until 3am by a banging doir being used by guests from a wedding party

« The hotel was ok for business, would not return for holiday use. »

My room was nice but small. The shower was too small and I could not fit well. I did not complain to the front desk about this as I was only at the hotel for 2 days.

Staff was very helpful, and good level of English language. They were very helpful. The room service (cleaning the rooms) was below expectations, tea and coffee, shampoo was tissues was not refilled except when I asked.

« Not the expected standaard when I Saw Mercure on the voucher, but fine »

I was far away at the end of the hotel. No lighting on a part of the walkway to this building. Room was cold, bathroom colder. Breakfast standard. We asked for IBIS, but our booking center was late, we got Mercure. I was expecting higher class then IBIS. This hotel is no higher the IBIS I know (Barcelona, Scheveningen,...). But It was ok.

Dirty hotel and my room was not cleaned when I came back one night. A pizza box which I had left on the trash one everning (I ordered pizza that night) was not even picked up by housekeeping. The bathroom was so filthy... it looks like they do not even use bleach to clean up some stains on the tub or in the sink....

« A pleasant hotel in a quiet but convenient spot »

We found the hotel to be pleasant and clean. The members of staff we spoke to were attentive and helpful and the room was a good size. Breakfast was particularly good. Overall the only criticisms we would make relate to the rather uneven parking area at the front and a lack of cups for the room tea/coffee making as only two single use paper cups were provided.

Public areas of the hotel nice, but room TINY and poorly equipped. Room service 2 nights in a row asked for my signature but didn't carry a pen. Also the hotel entrance needs to be much more visible from the road.

« Nice exterior but rotten underneath »

I stayed 2 nights recently in the rear building of the hotel. Location is convenient - just outside S.Germain-en-Laye which is within walking distance but in a quiet neighborhood. The breakfast has plenty of choices and is set in a typical modern French living room environment. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. So far so good, but ... The rear building looked renovated but everywhere in the rooms and hallways the smell of mould was coming through - most notably in the elevator. While this is a common issue in many small old hotels in the heard of the city of Paris I deem it unacceptable for a modern business hotel @145€ per night. I hope they will address this issue soon. Also, the bathroom installation is not really new and I don't think showering in a bath tub - where one has to climb in over a 50cm high rim from a slippery tile floor - is state of the art anymore.

This hotel, the former Ermitage des Loges, has upgraded the rooms and public areas which was a good idea. The location, near the forest and the Chateau, is quiet and very pleasant. I was there as autumn leaves were turning and it was beautiful. The room was small but comfortable.

Unfortunately my stay was kind of special since I was relocated shortly before my arrival despite my effort to try to stay with the group I was part of. In stead of 4 nights - I stayed 2 at Mercure and 2 at Novotel. A promise was made, that Mercure would pay all extra expenses caused by the relocation. Now a week after I left - I still haven't received the money I was promised would be on my account, and the hotel do not reply e-mails any longer.

« Welcoming, friendly and efficient. Comfortable bed. Convenient location. »

The reception team were busy with a rather awkward guest when I arrived. They managed that politely and well, and still managed to check me in swiftly and cheerfully. I was on my own but met a colleague and a group of people from England and elsewhere, in St Germain-en-Laye for a ceremony and dinner. This was a complicated operation and a dinner for about 100 people was put on by the Hotel Mercure, very well, despite some individual wishes different from the menu agreed. Breakfast was fine, and the staff very kindly produced drinks for two of us very late in the evening after we had been working. I needed a taxi when I left after two nights at the hotel: this was produced almost instantly by the reception desk. It was a pleasure to stay at the Hotel Mercure. The financila arrangements were made on line in advance when I was still in England. That worked very well, and again the Reception team were efficient, helpful and plpeasant.

« The reception service was slow. The food was terrible! »

As mentioned above the people that were at reception were not very efficient; slow to check me in. Also I pre-booked a taxi for the next morning that never came. The server at the restaurant was very firendly but the hamburger was terrible and expensive. The front of the hotel is a dirt road full of holes so dirty when it rains. The room was very small for 165 euros. I will not come back for sure!
