Fast, efficient and courteous staff with a good room & bed.

All good except that water was off and when it came back on in the middle of the night, the plumbing noise woke me. Breakfast was excellent.

Clean and comfortable but quite noisy

The people were lovely and the room was spacious and clean. It was great to have a restaurant and bar on site too. Unfortunately the housekeeping room was obviously just in the other side of our window and they were pretty noisy quite early.

Ok. Not told about current renovation.

Dissapointed with room after requesting a work station was placed in a room with no work station.

Enzo Business - 13/05/2019 AccorHotels certified review

I'm a regular at the Mecure Launceston and when booking the room I asked for a work station as I travel for business. This is the second time that I was booked into a room without a work station which made it difficult and uncomfortable to complete work at the end of a long day of flying and driving. When I asked if I could be reallocated a room with a work station they were unable to accommodate me which was disappointing. The room was booked through the Concur system using corporate rates, it felt like my request was denied based on the room charge rate rather than on availability. Didn't feel like I was treated as a valued regular/frequent user. decided to pass on dinner in the hotel this time around and spent my money elsewhere. This kind of thing will get me thinking about other accommodation options next time I travel for work or leisure.

Comfortable and pleasant but very noisy

Very comfortable bed Good location Clean, tidy and spacious Overall good stay however was extremely noisy due to works outside the building. This was very important to me as l was travelling for work and needed a good nights sleep. Unfortunately for this reason have given a rating of 5

Room was great but parts of hotel still under renovation

Ruth N. S. Friends - 09/05/2019 AccorHotels certified review

Our room was newly renovated and was great except the water pressure from the shower head could be stronger but as the hotel it self was still under renovation the stay was not Up to the standard I normally expect from an Accor hotel

My stay was too brief to really comment. As always my room was comfortable and the staff were friendly.

The staff were polite and helpful but my stay was too brief to really experience this hotel. The location was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was the keycard not working with the door despite trying on three occasions. Not a major problem though and the staff were helpful.

Back To Hobart after sometime

Happy Birthday Hubby Holiday , after my recent retirement and Hubby's special Birthday , decided to revisit Tassie which we always enjoy. Across on the Spirit again and straight down to Hobart via the Wilderness Lakes road , " a bit hairy", sheep, cattle, tight bends , take it easy of this road.

Satisfactory

While most of our stay was fine, on check in (ANZAC day) we were informed the restaurant wasn't going to be open and no alternate places suggested. On the Sunday (after the AFL game) it was also closed. We only went to breakfast once and they were so understaffed they forgot our coffee. So, we only ate at the restaurant once - very unusual for me with my Gold Accor Membership.

Dissapointing

It was fantastic until I went to have a shower and it was freezing cold. I informed reception and they said "thank you for letting us know". Not that I expect compensation but not even an offer for a warm shower in another vacant suite?

Staff were nice, however accomodation was lacklustre.

The onsite restaurant was nice, however, the main lights in my room didn't work, the walls were leaking which seeped into the carpet and gave off a funky smell and the were bugs coming out of the overflow in the bathroom sink

A comfortable stay in a quality hotel

Our visit to Launceston was really enjoyable, with our hotel providing a relaxing and easy environment to base ourselves. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Parking is provided and the check in and out process was smooth and efficient.

Short stay

The room was lovely but the position of it was terrible. Next time will ask to be moved. Street lights right outside, directly above reception and then the roundabout where it seems traffic never stops.

Poor housekeeping as usual, overcharged again

Jeff E. Business - 03/05/2019 AccorHotels certified review

I have stayed at this hotel for 40 nights so far this calendar year. The housekeeping is slap dash with issues every time I stay. Have been overcharged for an internet booking for the second time since January. Bookings at the restaurant are often not made even though I eat there each of the three nights that I stay every week. It seems strange that even though I spend 2 thousand dollars each month at this establishment each month the standard does not improve. I wonder what sort of experience punters who visit for a couple of days a year only receive given the level of service provided to a regular.

Surprisingly okay

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel when from outside and walking through carpark I was quick to have low expectations and was anxious. Interior was cosy, modern and clean. Only downside was 1. noisey guests loitering on various balconies drinking both night. but I'm a good sleeper so not an issue for me & 2. the room but specifically the bathroom having no ventilation so steamed right up and made room damp.

Comfortable

Ari Business - 03/05/2019 AccorHotels certified review

Appreciate that the Mercure Launceston is still under construction, but the entrance (the stairs) with the exposed stud walls isn't a great look. A ramp up the first few stairs for luggage, rather than lifting up the stairs, would be good. The front desk is very cut off from guests - it needs an entrance for staff to be able to go out and greet guests. Rooms were great - quite noisy though (are the windows double glazed?) Enjoyed the access to the gym (Key Fitness) but not sure many guests would know to ask. Titanium was pretty good as well for - we had dinner (average) and went to bar (good) on separate occasions.
