Not at the level of the rest of the chain. The hotel bulfind look pretty old and need a renovation ASAP. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breackfast was ok. I dont know why, but Mercure in Germany are always lower my expectations.

The stay was very good with comfortable beds, excellent meals and, with the exception of the check-in, attentive, pleasant staff. We had to wait an age to check-in; this was very annoying since I had been driving for hours. The reception person was very slow and seemed less than competent. The hotel is located close to the A2 motorway so very convenient.

The hotel looks new. The room was big enough with comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. There is sufficient parking place. Breakfast was good. Staff was nice and helpful. It is close to highway but it is very quiet inside.

I have arrived at the hotel rather late, around midnight. I had notified the hotel about my late arrival in advance. At the hotel, there are two doorbells, one saying "night reception" and another one with a similar name. They are next to each other. I have pressed each of them, once only. The door opened after a while and the receptionist started complaining that I made too much noise and I should have known better that ringing the doorbell only once was enough. I have explained, that the two doorbells were a bit confusing. He insisted, that an intelligent person should have known. The conversation was rather unpleasant. I gave up on explaining the situation since I was very tired and just wanted to go to bed. The receptionist did not check all my details, I was not offered any welcome drink, although it is part of the usual service with the silver status. It felt like I had disturbed the night peace of the night receptionist. Seeing the situation was not pleasant for me, he added that it was simply providing me with information, so that I do not make the same mistake again. My friendly tip, that perhaps one doorbell would have been better instead of two, seemed to be rather offensive to him.

Very satisfactory overnight stay. Super, huge beds with good pillows. The bathroom was adequate - a better choice of toiletries would have been appreciated.The evening meal in the restaurant was tasty and there was a great breakfast.Close to the A2 motorway with easy, free parking.

We stayed here with our Golden Retriever and were warmly welcomed by the staff. There was a hiccup with the first room we got since the water coming out of the tabs was very rusty (some work going on..). but we got another room that was perfect, although a little small for our 42 kg dog :). Very friendly staff and the newly renovated entrance area made this a good overnight stay on our way North.

Not the Mercure level I experienced before: no bath stop, nothing to put your suitcase on, rusty dustbin in bathroom, defective lamp switch, no minibar. Coffeemachine. 1 free bottle of water for a 4 day stay.

This hotel was easy to get to and with a tram stop very close made it stressless to get into the centre of the city. The food offering, though not extensive, was good and the quality excellent. Service was good in both bar and restaurant. Room was comfortable with a reasonable view and comfortable beds. Hotel did everything you would expect!

After a tiring day we settled down to sleep and in the middle of the night our sleep was interputped by a wining whistling noise. Which turned out to be a fault with the window due to an air gap. I can send you a video if you would be interested. The receptionist didn't seem surprised about my complaint the next morning, her advice was you should have told us and we would have happily moved you to another room. I explaned with my young daughter who was able to sleep through (she is deaf) this was't an option for us. I would have been satisfied if I had been given a reduction for our stay. The manager who wasn't around offered us a free mini bar and an free upgrade for Wifi on our next stay which I found to be unsuitable and unsatisfactory.

Unexpected room upgrade when we arrived just topped off the stay in this modern clean hotel with free parking and tram a few mins away for the city. Extremely clean room, great views and despite its proximity to busy roads and motorway you don't hear a peep at nights; very effective double glazing. All staff we came across were efficient and friendly and breakfast team greated us with a warm smile. Great start to the day. Sauna is just €2.50, what a treat! Only (small) negative, the sauna was to hot. (Yes, to hot...) ie wood and door handle and water bucket almost to hot to touch. Shower tiles could benefit from a good scrub, the grouting looked like it was suffering from surface mould. Lockers take 5 Marks not sure anyone still has those :)

Busy hotel with quite a few tour groups and business seminars. Nice bar area with reasonably priced drinks. The evening restaurant is a bit pricey for average fare (for a better meal at about the same price, try the Estragon restaurant at the Best Western down the street). A trolley stop is conveniently located just up the street, which will get you downtown in about 20 minutes. One stop in the other direction is a shopping mall, open until 10 PM. The breakfast buffet is very good, with friendly and efficient service. The rooms are clean and quiet, but some are sparsely outfitted with electrical outlets for charging phones, etc.

I stayed almost two weeks and the room was good. The biggest issue was the lack of a fitness facility in the hotel and the issues with the Internet. We had times with no access and the free access is too slow for business work beyond emails. The premium access worked fine and should be included in the room price. Again, this was a big issue for me as a business traveller.

This hotel used to be a Park Inn, but is now a part of the Mercure chain. I've been here a number of times, and the hotel is used by both business (expect to see a lot of insurance people) and tourists (often groups traveling by tourist bus). The hotel is quiet, and is conveniently located next to a trolley stop, making it easy to get downtown. The restaurant is pricey for fairly standard fare. Tip: Go down the street to the Estragon at the Best Western which serves delicious food for about the same price. Negative Points: o The free internet is terribly slow. o There are no extra electrical outlets in the standard rooms except for one in the bathroom. The night tables have no outlets, just light switches. Not very practical for today's travelers.How are you supposed to charge your phone? o The minibar was empty. o The male bar tender was totally stressed out on two nights I was there, and not very friendly. (When the hotel was still the Park Inn, the bar tenders were great) On the positive side: o The reception and restaurant staff were very helpful, courteous, and friendly o The breakfast buffet is good o The price was reasonable Ideas for Improvement: o Provide loaner bicycles for getting around

It is far too expensive for the low service and facilities. ALL is to be paid EXTRA. And if I select a 4 starts hotel, I expect the Gym, and all the facilities to be AVAILABLE and included in the price - unless of course we are talking about extra SERVICES - NOT including, facilities of the 4 stars is ridiculous. Stay in a 4 star hotel, with access to a 3 star service and facilities. AVERAGE 3 star stay.

Quite frankly my husband and I were rather disappointed in this hotel. We had booked superior rooms to give ourselves a treat, but did not notice any service that was superior enough that we could not have found in a three star hotel. The toiletries etc. were nothing special, and can also be found in three star hotels. We got a glimpse of the dressing gowns in the wardrobe, but we could not open the wardrobe enough even to hang up our clothes due to both doors being off the rails, and well and truly stuck! (This was reported to reception) ...and the bathroom smelled a bit. We were generally not impressed by the hotel although we can give good reviews for the shower pressure, good beds and the excellent breakfast facilities, and it was nice and quiet. The girls at Reception were most pleasant and efficient. Not what we expected for "Superior" class. Only had breakfast, and that was great. Good selection, tasty food, and smiling and courteous staff. The staff were very good. For us it was good to be close to the autobahn as we were driving off to Celle next morning.
