From landing at the airport on the island to the time to leave the staff here is the most professional group of individuals you can find. EVERYONE is so nice and accommodating. The resort is clean, beautiful, and has everything you could ask for.

This is my second time at this resort and i thought the first one was awesome, this one was amazing since all the staff recognized me and personally welcomed me. Made me feel like a rock star! They even remembered my beverage preferences. Unbelievable- i would highly recommend this resort

Wow! What a place. We are currently on our last day here on our honeymoon and what a dream it has been. The food is absolutely amazing, different themes every night and everything we have ate has been delicious. The cocktails are really good too! I’ve had 2 massages since being here and both have been incredible. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and happy. The snorkelling was out of this world, we got to see some turtles!!! Highly advise staying in the sunset overwater villa, we have watched dolphins swimming by every day! My husband even swam out to them and swam with them! Such an unreal experience. We also did the fun tube, definitely recommend, so fun. We will be back to the Maldives one day for sure. Thank you to everyone who made our honeymoon so special! Special shoutout to Shaheed, Ibrahim, Dharmika, Kamal, Kunal, Pubudu, Hukthi, Prdeep, Ingyin! The Cooks! Xx

Amazing Hotel 99% postive and one issue

Stayed here for 13 nights and can break my review down into two parts. Firstly - the location is amazing and the facilities at the hotel and the room were wonderful. The marine life around the hotel is spectacular including dolphins, rays, sharks and turtles and a myriad of fish. Food was fantastic and enjoyed the Italian Restaurant. Unfortunately on Day 2 whilst out at breakfast I had a credit card and some cash stolen from my wallet in my rucksack. I know i should have had it in the safe (lesson learned) 2 transactions wewre performed on the credit card which alerted me to the theft immediately. I cancelled my cards and dealt with the bank and then reported this to the hotel. They seemed shocked at first and then it felt like they didn't believe me that the theft had occurred and kept saying the staff who had entered the room would not do such a thing as they live on the island. THis was not a good feeling as it felt like we were being blamed or accused of somehow being responsible for the theft.

Regarding the unfortunate incident you reported, please allow me to extend our sincerest apologies for the distress this situation caused. At Mercure Kooddoo Resort, the safety and security of our guests are paramount. Upon being notified of your concern, we immediately tasked our Security Manager with conducting a thorough investigation. Our records indicate that only the credit card incident was not reported to us during your stay and there was no mention of any stolen cash, which hindered our ability to swiftly address your concerns. Upon review of the credit card issue, it was discovered that the credit card transactions in question were made in Indonesia, with Indonesian currency, at an optical shop. We even located a photo of the shop. Further discussions with you revealed that the last sighting of the credit card was seven months before you visited our resort, making it unlikely that the card was in the Maldives. Our resort manager made several visits to discuss and clarify the situation personally, aiming to ensure your comfort and to address any concerns directly. Your feedback is invaluable, and this situation has prompted us to review and reinforce our security measures to prevent any future occurrences and misunderstandings.
