« Typical case of bad management »

This is the typical example of lack of attention to detail and bad management. First room we had was full of mold. After complaining we got moved to another, larger, room but it also severely lacked maintenance and attention (burn marks in the bathtub), non-running amenities like a „sky bar“, a disorganized gym etc...the list goes on. Water took about 60-80 seconds to become warm. Windows in the hallway fixed with duct tape. Shower gel and other cosmetics are not replaced. It is a shame for this nicely located hotel with nice staff to be run like that. Receptionists sleeps on two chairs in the lobby during the night. Is there no other place? All the compliments to the friendly and attentive staff that made the best out of this situation.

« Nice hotel sightly outside of old town »

It's not the perfect hotel to stay but it certainly has the potential to be one of the best. Thing I like about this hotel : 1) slightly outside of old town at a very quite area. 2) lots of room but you don't really see anyone browsing around. 3) the upgraded room to the villa just perfect in term of size but room need to be upgraded. 4) free shuttle was good, even if they don't have transport available, they will put you in taxi and bring you as per what they promised. 5) nice pool and good WiFi connection. However there are few things really need to improve : 1) breakfast wasn't up to 4 stars hotel standard. Fried noodle was dried and same go to fried rice no matter what time you have your breakfast. 2) restaurant is pretty dirty, place they put glasses for juice and the glasses were dirty as well. 3) had a large carte meal at the restaurant, the white roses which is the traditional hoi an dish was hard at the side. 4) maybe it was die to raining season, the room smell damp with mold on the bathroom door and cabinet. So overall it was a pleasant stay, they even prepared a whole cake for me for my birthday. Service was good, they are very helpful and accommodating. Really hope they will improve the food quality and cleanliness. If possible new mattress as well. I really love Hoi An and definitely will be back.

We had an incredible time in Hoi an at the Mercure hotel! Would definitely go back! 10/10 service! Lovely accomodation! AMAZING team of staff! They took care of everything and made our holiday 100% carefree! It was sooo much more than we could have hoped for!! If you haven't been already, I ask you, what are you waiting for!?

« Coming to Grand Mercure Hou An from Grand Mercure Danang is admittedly a big step down but there is a big difference in price. »

I could tell you all the nice things about Grand Mercure Hoi An but that wouldn’t make the Hotel better. So it’s better to share with you items that you may not be aware of. 1. Breakfast quality rather poor. Budget too low. 2. I was staying in Room 516: rainwater discharge caused unnecessary loud noises. 3. WC type not suitable. Dropping is on the ceramic part of which becomes dirty and cannot always be washed away when flushed. It would be better if feces could drop into WC part with water.

The rooms are spacious, the staff is very friendly, the pool was very nice, there's a cook making your breakfast if you want, they have morning tours if you want to see what's around... All in all it's a good place to rest.

It was just as expected. Some things were "quirky" and yet we expected this staying in Hoi An. The bed was amazing, excellent pillows and bedding. great space, awesome bathroom. Here are some items that would have made the trip easier. 1. It would be nice to have a bench where we could put 2 open suitcases. The on beside the Tv is just too small, and the one behind the couch was perfect, but just fits one suitcase. One more bench would be excellent. 2. It would be nice for the cleaners and maids to close the doors while in the room. We have issues with mosquitos and tried hard to keep them out. 3. Servicing was great but not perfect. Coffee machine was not cleaned every day. On the last day we had no coffee pods. we also had a couple of days when the coffee whitener was not refreshed - but we went to the restaurant and got a jug of milk. other than these items, we had an excellent stay, thanks

« Mercure Hoi An Hotel Need Refubishment to Suite Room »

Overview of hotel design and feel is good, except for the Suite Room which my wife and myself has stayed (ground floor unit) need refurbishment especially to the wooden flooring, Toilet and window blinds. As usual to Mercure hotel, breakfast standard is below average and need to be reviewed with hotel chefs.

Enjoyed stay food and drinks a lot more expensive than outside. Would keep more people in hotel if they where cheaper. Music in hotel would be nice even someone on piano. Staff allow children to come into breakfast area when being in pool and it is very dangerous for older people who may fall. Also the children can run riot and be very noisy and spoil breakfast for others. Staff should not allow this.
