« My stay in New York Lga on March 6 th till 7th »

First times I stayed in this relatively unknown hotel in usa was in Adana , Turkey when our flight was rerouted and delayed. Rooms there was extremely small not to mention the bathroom. But this time in Lga New York , I have no choice but to get this hotel bcs of price , the experienced was totally different. Fresh , clean , good customer service , fairly reasonable breakfast , a true satisfying experience. From now on , I decided to try ibis first in any country in future .. hope my experience will be same as Lga New York

« very mixed »

The room itself was lovely and basic accommodations more than adequate. My issue was with the continual mixed messages I got from the hotel staff. My 7pm flight was cancelled due to a storm so I first called the hotel @5pm. The website quoted $109 per night and indicated vacancies. The hotel staff person first told me that was wrong it would be @$140. I reluctantly agreed and then "after checking" I was told the hotel was full. I called other hotels but due to storm there were no vacancies. I then saw the same offer online and booked it call the hotel to ask a question and was told the price was wrong, it was @$160. I hung up and continued to book online. I got the "complimentary" shuttle and was fine. Accomodations clean and comfortable - above and beyond. My online reservation indicated free breakfast. I checked in and was told I needed to pay $13 for breakfast. I showed my online information and was told me it was fine, I did not have to pay. The next morning the breakfast bar was not stocked well at all. Tables were dirty and they "ran out" of clean bowls. The buffet staff person appeared annoyed when another guest asked for help. There were only three guests at breakfast. I was again questioned about the buffet and showed my online information to the clerk. She told me it was inaccurate but would "allow" me to eat there for free. In checking out, a different clerk told me the airport shuttle would cost me $3 and she would put it on my bill. I told her I took it last night for free and the I was told it was complementary. She begrudgingly gave me a ticket. Overall I was distressed due to my cancelled flight and unplanned expense of a hotel room. I was so impressed by the clean, comfortable accommodations. However the actual customer service was horrible and unprofessional, especially being told that there were no vacancies at the very beginning. The hotel was far from full. The nickle and diming me by the staff was ridiculous and quite unprofessional. However, I would certainly look for your brand in another city or even a different one than the this hotel near LGA.

« Very modern style. »

The room was great, stylish, functional and comfortable. However, the breakfast has a lot to improve in terms of quality and choices of food, specially for that price. Parking should be complimentary.

« Good value, but miss the small stuff »

I stay often at Ibis (transportation industry employee). Great location, clean and well-styled if simple rooms. However, some small things could be improved. Airport shuttle should be included, no special charge for this. Also, coffee always seems stale and old (motor oil-ish), and frequently the cream/milk is curdled. All rooms should have a mini-fridge (I have to ask for this). And although this may be an Accor corporate issue, I am currently not earning stay credit or points for my multiple stays at Ibis as it is on a “travel/corporate” rate....even though I am paying out of pocket for my stay. I wish that could be fixed as it would certainly build brand loyalty.

« Great hotel next to LaGuardia »

Very nice hotel to stay at when we missed our connecting flight out of NYC. Decor was really fun, theme was NYC and the subways. Building round like a silo, so all rooms wrapped around the elevator like a circle... it was unique. Best part was the food! I was very surprised but the food we ordered for dinner from there bar was really amazing! Nice bartender. Nice girl working reception. Price was good. And they had transportation to LaGuardia. Only complaint... it woukd have been nice to have a clock and coffee machines in room (coffee was available down stairs in the breakfast area, but we didn't realize it was available to us because we didn't include the hot breakfast buffet). Over all a nice stay that improved our disappointment about not getting to our vacation on time.

« Hotel Stay on business trip »

The hotel itself is a nice hotel. The stay was bad overall due to the staff. Staff was very annoying as they kept waking me me up from my sleep. First, some guys knocked on my door at 9am in the morning because they wanted to inspect the fire system in my room !!!. Around 9:45am, I called the front desk and extended my stay another 3 hours since my flight got delayed. I guess they didn't pass this info to the next shift. A few hours later, the front desk called me 5 times within a span of 2 hours each time to ask if i wanted to extend my stay!!! I couldn't even get a good sleep.

« Hidden charge for airport shuttle »

The hotel is adequate but management now charges several dollars to take the shuttle back to the airport. This fee is NOT disclosed on the website. Nickel and diming a captive audience

« Very stylish hotel »

This hotel was very stylish. It was clean and smelled nice, which (as a Mom) I appreciate! The staff was very nice. Even though valet parking costs about $25, it is very much worth it. I would definitely stay here again. My only concern is that the rooms are not really made for a family since the bathroom is not in an enclosed room.

« The room was great but the staff was average. »

The room was spacious, clean with wonderful decor. My check-in process was average I appreciated the early check-in because of my membership, but the front desk agents, both morning and night, NOBODY smiled or looked remotely interested in being there. My wife didn't even want to ask for towels because when she went to get a bottle of water "The woman at the desk looked annoyed." I work at a hotel and taught to smile and greet guest when you see them, but they were more interested in their cell phones. I liked the express check, but I didn't like that I was sorta forced to use it. The woman at the desk was on the phone and I was fine with waiting for her, but she looked up at me and frowned and point at the box. I didn't even get a receipt. If you don't want to work quit

« Security couldn't control our neighbors. »

Our last stay at Ibis was very disappointing. We had plans to travel to PA that night, but throughout our travel that day we realized we were too dangerously tired to drive home when our plane landed. We checked in to the hotel at midnight and promptly fell asleep. A couple of hours later we hear extremely loud banging on the door next to us and a group of people screaming. We opened our door and told them to stop, they were clearly intoxicated. About half an hour later when it hadn't stopped, so we called the front desk and they sent up security. This didn't help at all, shortly later they were all in the hall singing Happy birthday. I called the front desk again and she said she would send security back up. There was still no change in their volume, so once again we confronted the guests ourselves. It was a complete waste of our money, because we didn't get the sleep we desperately needed. The next day the lady at the front desk took our information, but nobody has tried to contact us regarding the situation.

« Mediocre at best »

towels were thread bare. as i pulled them across me it ripped. Light in room was not working properly. I had to pay for the shuttle to the airport, what is that. If you are staying at an Airport Hotel you expect it to be part of the service. Never see me back.

« Nice looking place, but uses hotel next door for services. »

Very nicely done room and hotel in general. Everything was new. First time I was referred to another hotel, however, to print out boarding passes or have breakfast.

« It was a good stay. »

Overall good stay, just think rooms should have a fridge atleast. Rooms are not equipped with irons you have to request one which I think it’s an inconvenience. Also the towels need to be replaced. They’re torn and when using you hear it ripping more. Also the supervisor needs more training she’s rude and does not communicate well.

« meh »

my room smelled like urine a little. The bed mattresses/sheets were weird and the sheets didn't stay on well. I had to sort of remake it well enough to sleep in. The breakfast was not at styles due to some mechanical issue so over at the other place the breakfast was basically all cold and kind of gross. good cold breakfast would have been better then somewhat yucky breakfast. Maybe this was just because of the move of breakfast.
