The hotel is modern with clean comfortable rooms and is conveniently located for all forms of transportation from Sloterdijk Station. Trains from the airport, Metro, Trams, and Buses are all convenient. A very good choice to save some money over city centre hotels that cost much more.

The staff were the main factor-they were friendly and helpful. There was always someone at the reception to help with any requirements. Next, the location is very convenient. Grocery stores near by and station is a 2 minute walk with good connections. Room and hotel was good, clean and well equipped. Overall, a very good experience with Mercure and Accor. It was my second stay in Amsterdam and both were at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station.

We stayed in a family room which was terrific, plenty of room with a double a 2 proper single beds, not camp beds squashed in. Easy access to Amsterdam Central and schiphol by train. 5 minutes and 10 minutes. We had breakfast included which was more than we could eat. Did not use the gym or have dinner.

We had a Good stay. The room was clean and fairly roomy. The staff can be more friendly. Particularly night front desk. We mentioned that your website mentions that the standard room also receives 2 water bottles per day. There were none in the room. When we questioned it they said it’s an error on the website. So we asked will you honour the site. No. We will look into it. That was very disappointing. He next day no one had looked into it. We spoke to Cher. Who was fantastic. She apologised for the response and said that she will pass on the error in the website but offered water bottles. I have up until last year a Gold Accor member for the past 3 years. Sadly this wasn’t a good experience. I would of expected more.

1 night there but ... Check-in : my reservation was not found, staff rudly asked me to proof I had a booking despite the online check-in done. 1h after check-in : the manager called me in room, waking me up from a nap despite the automatic do not disturb on. At 5pm, tried to order a pizza from my room, normally available from 11 am to 11 pm, but restaurant declined my order for closed kitchen until 6.30 pm I discussed then with the manager (which was in fact only a supervisor) , she apologized and put in my room a lemon pie with written apology.. this was nice to let me know to feel welcome at mercure, and would have been really giving another review if the following didn't happen then : 11pm at the bar, wait 20 minutes before anyone took my order, there were 3 waiters behing the bar for only 1 other table in the bar/restaurant. I finally ordered at the counter and had the drink in my room. 2am : had to call the front desk because of lot of noise made by guests in room in front of me, took around 30 minutes to handle and was not able to sleep until 4pm then. 9am : woke up by cleaning lady crying in the corridors 10am : woke up again by the cleaning lady ringing at my door despite the do not disturb on 11am : called front office to get 1 extra shower gel and 1 extra towel. Didn't get it. Had to call back again at 11.30am and the got a full pack with 4 towels and 4 shower gels/shampoo at 11.40am. 1pm : check out with no one at the desk to say you good bye or hear how was the stay ... so I put my key in the express check out. Otherwise, room furniture is great and the open view from 8th floor room was really appreciated.

I had a horrible night. Aircondition did not work in room 520. So i woke all sweaty at 23.30 and turned it down to 18 degrees. And woke again at 04.00 realised the ac blew hot air like a hairdryer. And there was no window to open so I could not get cold air inside. So i opened the door to the hallway and stayed awake until 06.00 sometime when it was reasonable temperature to try to sleep again. Woke up exhausted.

I paid for a room with two single beds but I was offered a room with a double bed and that was for three nights. I borough the issue to the attention of the hotel staff but unfortunately no solutions was given. I had to SLEEP ON THE FLOOR FOR THREE NIGHTS.
