« Villa is new but service need to improve »

I like the 3 room villa due to it is quite new and comfortable. But I have to complain one thing that I ask staff call buggy and she tell me just wait 10 minuets. My parents and kids waits for around 50 minutes in wet(after swim) and no buggy come to swimming pool to take us. But other people who take buggy they do not booking yet?! I am angry and staff tell me they will escalte to manager but I do not get and response yet!!!

1/i asked for e-car to villa for restaurant but concierge team left me without saying anything 2/ im appreciated for helping us with2 rooms early check in but when we received our room, the duvet was very dirty same as bed sheet. No amenities in toilet(only comb, shampoo) I was satisfied with your service on frist trip in last Oct that why i had brought my family to ur resort this time but i felt the service became lower and you guys seemed taking care only foreigner only and no action,no apology to vn guests.

The swimming pool was crowded and people even wear jeans and shirt jump to swimming pool. There was pieces of tissues and other small objects in the waters. You need to clean up the pool more often and remind guests to shower and wear proper swimming suits before swim. Also the big floating things at the beach was filled with moss, kinda gross. Other than that the service was great and I enjoyed the stay.

« Excellent service. Bathrooms needed work. »

We stayed at Villa 1014 for 2 nights. The only issue we had was that 2 out of the 3 showers were flooded immediately when started using, and remained flooded for a few hours after. We ended up all sharing the one shower that was working properly in the house. Other than that, our experience at Novotel exceeded our expectation. Beautiful villa, great pools, excellent service and delicious breakfast buffet.

« What a shame, not even close to Accor’s standards! »

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel’s facilities are quite good & modern as you can expect from a new property. However, what made me disappointed here is the ‘not so welcoming’ experience delivered by Front Office staff. My room was not clean with floor covered with sands and full of mosquitoes when I checked in. Duy from Reception offered a room move but I decided to better stay 1 night there and move to a new room the following day. Next morning, I went down to Reception asking nicely for a room move but the lady in Le Club Priority desk named Trinh was extremely rude in her words and ruined my stay. It seemed like I was at fault and demanding too much. Excuse me!!! I have been working for Accors for quite a number of years & totally understand what a demanding guest is and how you, as the hotel representative, needs to handle the situation in a professional manner! She was not only rude to me but also her colleagues in Front Desk. She passed me to another lady named Ha, whom I found more approachable and helpful. Finally, I got a room with Ocean View on 4th floor. But during my whole stay at Novotel, it was very rare to receive a smile or a morning greeting from Front staff. A simple thing but can compensate for language barrier that happens sometimes. I hope this constructive feedback can be passed to FO team so that more guests will receive truly genuine hospitality from Accor staff.

Nice facilities with two pools and good space on the beach. Staff in general friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. The food at the Seafood restaurant was good but the wines over priced. On the Saturday we joined the seafood buffet in the main restaurant. What a dissapointment!! If you call it seafood buffet then you should also serve something more than just a few scrimps! We very often go for the seafood buffet at Sofitel in Ho Chi Minh and we were expecting something similar here, but far away... Very Negative was the huge construction site next to the hotel were they started to work early mornings and with high noice level!

« Amazing hotel & good service »

My family stayed 02 night at 3 bedroom villa in Novotel Phu Quoc resort last month. We all satisfied with room service & equipment. The location is about 12 km far from center city but instead of that, we can breathe fresh air & quiet beach. The most amazing thing is the sunset view from private beach in hotel. The most beautiful sunset I've ever seen. The only inconvenient thing is that it always took us long time to wait for shuttle car to move around villa & call for taxi. Highly recommend visitors to stay at Novotel & enjoy your trip to Phu Quoc.

The check-in process was seamless, staff were very helpful in answering questions that we may have, shuttle bus to airport and town, taxi is easy to get, room was big and spacious, facilities are new, beach and swimming facilities well maintained, overall a very good experience.

The hotel facility and location are good but service is not good yet. There is a table for Accor member but not different from other and you have to wait for room like all. Service in room missing some items then you have to request.

« Facilities excellent but the restaurant experience very disappointing as it is oriented towards asian tastes and, at breakfast time, is VERY busy, noisy and chaotic. »

The hotel was chosen because of the weather (I live in Hanoi), the infrastructure and the Novotel brand. The bungalow facilities were good although there were faults with the shower (i) it had a broken tile on the floor in the shower cubicle and (ii) the water flow was very inadequate. The ocean bar pool was excellent, taff pleasant and helpful, but again the pool areas was much too busy and noisy (families constantly shouting to each other in Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean) and the mixture of cultures very uncomfortable, for example, Vietnamese guests were swimming in the pool in their regular underwear (1 male in particular was wearing baggy boxer-briefs) and outdoor clothing such as jean shorts and T shirts. Also many people were smoking in the sun lounger area; it would be helpful to provide no smoking areas. I did not use the (main hotel) restaurant in the evening as I have had previous bad experiences with extremely poor, unprofessional service, limited choice (I am a vegetarian) and bland food on previous visits but I did notice that the restaurant was now offering buffet service which again is more oriented towards the asian taste rather than western-style restaurant and confirmed my decision not to use that facility.

This was the 1st time we travelled with our infant child overseas and I was pleasantly surprised that there were alot of other families at the Novotel. The hotel is absolutely stunning and beautiful and the staff were very helpful and friendly, including the workers amongst the gardens! The family room we booked felt like a 5 star hotel feel with a beautiful view (however there are alot of construction work going on next door) The buffet breakfast was one of the best with a variety of different selections which varied the next day. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend!

This property properly is 5 stars but services and staffs do not reach 5 stars standard. Staffs are not well trained, not friendly and unprofessional. Dinner buffet has nothing special. Food is so boring. Shuttle bus service to Duong Dong town is always full at 19:30. It is unacceptable with the reason that resort is full and many guests have booked that shuttle bus. The very big resort like Novotel Phu Quoc should prepare enough car in case full occupancy. Quite expensive price, not worth the money!!!

All the staff was very friendly and helpful, however, it was definitely not the 5-Star Resort advertised. It was more like a 4-starwith some items bordering on 3-Star. There was insuffient English speakers. Though the Resort has been open for only 1 1/2 years, I think, there were maintenance issues like a 6-7year old Resort. The big sliding doors separating the bedroom from bathroom would not work. 1 of the sink drains did not operate properly. Both reported to staff with no results. The tv selection was off, but I found a work around. The light leading to bungalow did not work. The seafood restaurant was excellent, but the food exchange restaurant was suppose to offer aacarte choices for dinner per an in room brochure and website. The front office and a manager said this was not the case and mentioned an alacarte restaurant across the street at some villas. The housekeeping cleaning was marginal. Will not be going back.

« Inspired but not much entertainment actitivities »

Great Resort with large bungalow, nice bar and pools. Polite and helpful staff but not much unfortunately evening entertainment programs. A perfect resting place. Disappointed with the seafood restaurant, expensive wine $90 for a bottle of Chablis ! Did not try buffet dinner but it could be better option/place for meals for $20 per head. Avoid connecting bungalow or you will hear sound from the next door !

Very nice welcome, great accorplus member advantages, food and services are great. The only problem this time is payment online when I booked with my friend's card and it created annoyance. Novotel should look into its policy as it only happens with Novotel, not other hotels.

- amenity in room not provide body lotion (delivered when requested) and not fill shower set when make up room. - no king size bed but combine 2 twin bed instead. No problem on that but standard of bed make up need to be aware. I stayed in standard room combined twin bed is good while in deluxe bungalow is not good. -in deluxe bungalow there is water Leak from ceiling in toilet and I informed staff to fix when we were out to downtown, it seems to be checked but in next morning water drop again until we checked out. -Because of a lot of guests in hotel, the pool should be cleaned during the day too, especially beach pool about lunch time that bot much guests left. Lot of sand at bottom. -We saw there is food and beverages promotion menu at bar (all day eat and drink with blue wrist band) for some group tour guests but not applicable for private guest when we asked. I suggested hotel to tell your staffs and provide the proper answer to guests, not just tell us that no more this promotion. - last but not least, French fries need to be improved seriously. It's chewy!

Novotel Phu Quoc is a Brand new and Nice hôtel, with all services we can expect from the Accord Group. The beachfront pool villa was beautiful, and well situated in a quiet corner far from the main pool and beach where all guest were staying; it was the high season period with many guest in vacation during the new year . We ate in all restaurants: the main restaurant with buffet at breakfast and dîner (splendid, lot of choices, good service level), the pool or ocean restaurant for lunch (Nice snack menu with banh mi, Great service and service oriented people Like Thao), and the sea food restaurant which has left us with some disapointment... the staff was not good enough and the service Was far from the expectation (price is higher than average restaurant so we were expecting a more experienced staff); Nice hôtel, staff is good and i would come back again to the Novotel but first need to try the « premier village » which is opening next month.

I was traveling with a future business partner from Six Senses, and I presented our reservation letter with 2 separate rooms on it. However the agent checked us in to ONE KING room and said enjoy your night. This was highly embarrassing. Also Just enrolled me to your loyalty program without even asking. Seafood Restaurant - staff not trained - music to load cant even talk. Out of many items on the menu. Breakfast OK - But many foreign customers complaining about Novotel to each other.
