Great pool, great beach at the hotel and villas. Beach is dirty outside the hotel area. Good breakfast, staff with limited English. Not too much services available around the hotel complex. Our group did not fit in to airport shutle despite early booking.

« Nice and friendly service, could use some improvement. »

The staff at hotel were very friendly from check-in to check-out including the pool service and housekeeping. The areas of opportunity would be in speed of service and food. While at the pool, my party ordered a pizza and two beverages from the bar, however, the drinks and pizza came out nearly 45 minutes after we ordered. The service was nearly as slow on the second day we were ordered at the bar, as well. The food selections at the buffet did not look appetizing. A seafood buffet was mentioned for 650.000 per person, but after looking what was available, it was not appealing with such a small selection.

« Best resort ever »

First of all, I was offered juice while waiting to check in. That’s a really good impression at the beginning of my trip. My friend asked to use the business room at midnight but the employees, still, were very supportive. I love my room so so much as well. However the sink has a tiny problem which is the drain. Sometimes I couldn’t re-open it to flush the water. I wish Novotel Phu Quoc all the best.

« A nice two-night vacation »

My second vacation at your hotel was nice and pleasant, with clean and modern facilities and polite staff. However, I have a few concerns. First of all, the front-desk staff weren't very welcoming us. We (my spouse and I) didn't receive greetings like 'What may I help you?' or 'Welcome to Novotel' as we did at other hotels (like, for example, Pullman) and I could assume that the front-desk lady and us would just stare at each other in silence if I just didn't speak up first. One other thing is I bought combos on ivivu (a tourism agency (?)) and according to the website, I would get a 200,000 VND voucher to use at restaurants around the hotel which I would receive once I check in. However, I didn't receive any voucher. Thank you for a nice vacation. Still my favorite place to stay in Phu Quoc. Wish the best for all of you.

We booked a private bungalow with the expectation that it comes with a private pool. We believed that when we booked via Accor website, there was a picture of a pool. Turned out either we were blind or the website changed. Check in was a nightmare; No greeting, no welcome drinks, no queue. We checked in online via Accor website, believing that we didn't have to wait in line - but turned out check in online was for nothing. Once finally at the check in desk, we were surprised at check in that we booked the wrong room category. Check in staff (who could barely speak English) was quite rude and offered no explanation. The front desk manager was quite professional in handling the situation. We decided to stay in the private bungalow that we booked. The hotel is architectually beautiful. The service was not up to standard of a hotel that claims to be a 5-star hotel. 95% of the staff barely speak English which resulted in miscommunication almost every time we ordered food (wrong orders), asked questions/directions. During the stay, on the second day, our bungalow (718) AC was always hot even though we set it at 18C. Water was constantly dripping from AC. We also had a noisy neighbor that sounded drunk and asked to change our room. The manager was professional, apologized, and changed our room to a different one almost immediately. Check out was also a nightmare. No queue.

« Fair, the place is good enough but the service was not that nice. »

Good points: the place is nice, the rooms, the pool and private beach. Breakfasts were OK, too. Not very strong points: - the hotel bus which (I was told before) would be prepared for customers from the airport, was full all the times. and When we were leaving, they told us it was full again even when we already booked since the day before, which I don't understand at all because when we finally got in the bus, there were many empty seats. - instead of "up-levelling" from superior rooms to bungalows, we prefer the small-but-important details for example, a twin-room not a room with king-size bed; being given your attention. - check-in staffs were crowded but not very helpful, especially when we complained our troubles. we totally understand there are days with too many customers to serve and we can wait, but with a true excuse, not some made-up explains.

Very relaxed atmosphere, probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Friendly, helpful staff, great choice of food and no cheap substitute drinks in the all inclusive range. Plenty of sun beds and even when not getting to the beach until 9 am we still got a parasol. If I had to make a small criticism it would be that 2 of everything per day for hot drinks in the room is not enough, if you have a hot drink in the evening on the balcony it leaves you nothing for the morning, also a second coffee machine in the breakfast room would be good to eliminate queues. Overall we had a fantastic two weeks in a beautiful country, highly recommended.

I haved book a villas which 3 bedrooms. It's quite nice design with nice garden and sprivate swimming pool. The hotel staffs are good and well trained, they are very friendly and supportive. So our family feel good welcome and had a good vacation time, that is good done. The general design of resort is very nice and clean with the green of tree , grasses - peaceful feeling. However there is some small tips for management improvement: 1/ Transportation arangement for guests from and to airport and town. When hotel offer free shuttle bus. Hotel should ask guests the time of their flight and arrange pick up with guest name. It shows a warm welcome at airport and good hotel service from the first impression. I were with my family landed and we went out just some minutes late and we have to wait for about 1 hour to the next bus. The pick up should base on guest 's arrival and departure, not just offer free and said first come first serve. In addition, the free shuttle bus to town is same. It was also be full and not available for all guests. Again the explaination from staff: seats are limited, so first come first serve. I think it is kind of poor service for a five stars hotel when customer is given that kind of service. As I am gold member, after a compliant I have offered of free taxi to airport on check out date. So it's kind of alittle bit compensate on service. Thank you the nice lady - Nhi who has taken care that. 2/ The Room facilities: general is good, clean and confortable. However the water system is not good. If three rooms use a bathroom in one time, the water is very weak. So it's unconvinence. 3/ Hotel with full of guests and the electric cars are limited. Everytime we called we had to wait for a long time. 4/ If I have booked in Vinpearl, we have offered many free service like ticket for the zoo, the vinpearl land. While Novotel hotel offer nothing. It's somethings hotel should think of to attract more customers. Because the hotel beach was not nice that can keep customer stay inside hotel only. Some free sight seeing tour may help, or free transportation to Bai Sao ( beautiful beach) or more nice places. And should be always avaialble not as current free shuttle service. I have written too much, because I am looking for your improvement and hope that I can bring my family to your place again. B.regards, C.
