Perfect place to stay in Wiesbaden: close to the city center, friendly and efficient staff, big, quiet and clean rooms. Ground floor now very nice after the refurbishing. Rich and varied buffet breakfast.

it is hard to find something wrong about Mercure Wiesbaden City: reception is friendly and efficient, rooms are big and clean, good AC, and now that the refurbishing is done the ground floor is a bright and modern space with a nice bar and breakfast room. No, all is perfect in this hotel.

I paid a premium price for a specific room type. When I arrived I was not told the room I had paid for was not available rather I was sent to my room unknowing. Once I arrived in my room I immediately called the front desk to inform them, however they seemed to already be aware and not willing or able to correct the error.

I'm writing this in English hoping that you will patch it through to the hotel management. I'm traveling to about a dozen German cities every year, and the Mercure Wiesbaden City is probably my favorite hotel in its price category in Germany, especially since the wonderful refurbishment. All the staff is remarkably friendly and efficient. This time though, I would like to apalogize to the front desk people - I wasn't very friendly to them after driving for 6 hours, and I didn't even thank them for the room upgrade... Still, they remained very friendly and helpful, for which I'm truly greatful.

I cannot fault the staff of this hotel in anyway with any of their interactions with me it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in for it's Service. I'm a Leclub member, which asks you for your preferences to help with room allocation, I have asked for a shower and the aircon on. When I arrived in my room I had a bath tub with a shower and the aircon was off. Being given a room with a bath tub could be down to rooms available, but the aircon issue should have been correct. Back to the bath tub, I personally dislike a shower in a bath tub as no matter what anti slip measures are taken, as soon as you rinse off soap it becomes very slippery. Also the panels used to stop water going all over the bathroom were ineffective. This was obvious due to the stain on the bathroom ceiling from water damage, which was also showing in the entrance way to the room on the wall. The bed was made up of 2 halves and 2 mattresses, these were of 2 different firmness.

You charged me one night that unofrtunately I couldn't enjoy, at least I think I should have received the corresponding reward points on my accopunt for this night charged but not enjoyed. The room was not clean, there were on the table old papers and under the table 3 empty plastic bottles of water and coke. In my opinio9n not acceptable I don't see whY the reviews we do must have a minimum number of words, if you are really interested in receiving reviews you sholud make it as easy as possible.

the waterlock in the showroom had run out of water which caused smell in the room. When running water to the floor the problem vanished. Someone should check the room before giving it to customers

I am a Hilton honors member because Accor doesn’t have as good a loyalty program and their online system is less user friendly. Since there is no Hilton property in Wiesbaden, I decided to try the Mercure hotel. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and spend a lot of time in hotels. As of this year, I would have stayed at the Mercure for more 3 weeks. I have never had better housekeeping service before. I work in my room a lot and eat in my room a lot. I also do the horrid thing of leaving my room late in the afternoon. Regardless, housekeeping was always friendly. They noticed that I drink a lot of coffee and leave extra capsules. They line my bin because I eat in the room. I believe my housekeeper’s name is called Dragen. The reception staff was also very courteous except one who is slightly rough around the edges. They held my amazon package for me and dealt with all my requests extremely efficiently. Thank you Sacha, Frau Kapour, Rupprect for the politeness and help. ( I hope I spelled their names right) The only light problem I have would be the pillow. I sleep on my back and the pillows are too high. Also, the bed is a bit soft by American standard. I would like to thank the hotel for the pleasant stay.

« A positive experience with some issues »

Positive - staff were helpful, lobby is attractive, breakfast was impressive Issues: 1. Hotel was uncomfortably warm 2. Temperature control in room was ineffective 3. Instructions to get to gym were unhelpful. 4. Staff to staff communication was faulty. I had to "check in" and swipe my credit card multiple times.

I am a regular visitor to this hotel, so like the convenient location and the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. One thing that both myself and my colleague who travels with me love is the breakfast. But we have recently noticed from our last two visits that you are adding salt to the scrambled eggs that we love so much. This has really ruined the breakfast for us, the eggs are now far too salty. As we always dine in the bar for our dinner, it would be nice if the menu changed occasionally. Other than that, lovely staff, lovely hotel and always a lovely welcome.
