We stayed for 4 nights recently and had a great time, they are still having hot water troubles but managed to get it sorted for us by changing rooms. The facilities are in excellent condition, food was good and drink selection very good as well. The resort is pretty close to the airport and you can see and hear planes landing and taking off during the day, didn't hear them in the room at night though. They have a very nice building that houses the adults only Thai restaurant which is their fine dining option, it is a pity that their fine dining option is Thai as many people do not enjoy Thai for more than one or two nights, then you are left with only 2 options, a very nice indoor/outdoor restaurant right by the pool, this has a limited selection and is casual, this leave the noodle restaurant in the lobby, we only ate there once and that was for lunch, although good it meant that there was 2 Asian dining options and one casual pizza/tandoor casual option, the buffet area was only used for breakfast. All the Hotel staff were excellent and very friendly except the young lady who manned the watersport activity desk, she was rude and uninterested in explaining any options, she was more interested in walking around with a scowl on her face and playing with her phone, very disappointing.

The staff were lovely and helpful, bed's are super comfortable, food was great, Pool area beautiful. Area's for development - i had no hot water in shower the entire stay so no chance of having a bath. One morning i woke and had no lights, the clock and kettle were working however no lights. Too much plastic waste in the number of water bottles used in the conference centre & rooms.

It was obvious that the resort is new and still getting itself sorted with regards to services, amenities and the overall experience. Most of our party didn't have hot water for he duration of our stay, and there were a number of things that showed evidence of hasty or sloppy finishes (construction-wise). Drinks were ridiculously overpriced at the bar. In spite of my comments above, I did enjoy myself. The staff were friendly and suited the relaxed Fiji style. The Thai restaurant was excellent and provided a very enjoyable meal on our first night.

The hotel is beautiful. Wonderful decor and service. Food was good as well. However, I did not have hot water in the shower on both days. On the first day, after I insisted, they sent in a technician to fix the problem. On the second day, they didn't. The reception said they would but no one turned up. I had to shower with cold water. The wifi network given to me by the reception was not working but I managed to connect with the Conference one.

The facilities was top class. However, the begining was a bit below par, have to wait for almost 3 hours at the lobby before getting into my room. Promised to get into my room by 2pm but I end up checking in my room around 4pm. Wasnt a type of experience expected though.

Initially upon arriving found our room to be disgusting with the toilet and bathroom having not been cleaned from the previous guest. It took two hours before we were moved into a different (but same room. That room was nice enough and the Duty Manager did provide us with a hamper of fruit to make up for it (we saw her and another member of staff carrying the same hamper twice during our stay - obviously not a good look). The room was up to scratch, but as the hotel was very quiet we did wonder why we weren't upgraded. Initial thoughts were that the whole site needed a bloody good post construction clean. Construction dirt still remains on most surfaces. The bathroom was particularly bad, pencil marks on the wall where the toilet roll was to be positioned, bits of concrete sticking to ties. Couldn't look anywhere without there being something not right. Outside the room, on the outside of every guest room door, there's some residual glue leftover from construction. It just needs cleaning. Find it under/around the peephole from memory. On the glass balustrade outside the door to the rooms, you could still see the "X" mark where the glass was taped for construction. There was so much dirt and dust on the glass that it showed up almost like it was a design feature. The resort is close to the Nadi airport and while we've since seen some reviews about that being negative, my family actually enjoyed it and we would guess and then run to see what plane was taking off. The gym toilet has bare wires hanging from the wall and ceiling. Equipment in the gym was to a high standard. Good stuff. The family pool was good. Super large and heaps of room. We would hang out in one of the cabanas most days. Some points about our time around the family pool: 1. when we did go on the lounges and put up an umbrella we'd be told multiple times that the umbrella would need to come down if it was too windy. We get why you'd need to tell us, but it became a running joke. 2. music being played needs a lot of work. We sat through three different versions of the same Stevie Wonder song, ending with an instrumental version. Another time the entire album of Whitney Houston's greatest hits (so 20 years too late) was played. This was so unbelievable that I checked it out closer and found that if I was in the adult only pool, I would've been putting up with hearing Whitney's music and then their own pools music which was clashing terribly and no wonder than everyone sitting at the adult only pool had earphones in. 3. The Footsteps bar has an ice cream machine that makes a terrible noise that echos all around the pool area when it's operating. 4. the entertainment staff had it rough. On a couple of days there was only our family and another family and let's just say their heart wasn't in it. When it was busier when we first arrived they were great. Kids couldn't tell and had a great time with my oldest winning several of the competitions - because she was the oldest. Ha ha. 5. There was some construction work going on around the pool while we were there. We completely understood this as it was very quiet when we were there. Even so, it did put us off and we properly moved back to our room earlier than we would have if they weren't working. 6. Even with it so quiet, we werent' checked on for drinks or food. We were given complimentary mocktails a couple of days, which was nice, but as it was so quiet extra attention could've been nice. Ordering food was confusing, with the menus by the pool branded with Footsteps holders but was actually for another restaurant whose logo was watermarked on the menu. Was later told that Footsteps should've been able to take our order anyway... We were really happy with how quickly our room was serviced each day. Basically, after returning from breakfast it was always serviced. That was great. The air conditioning was great too. Had issues in our hotels where it would turn off overnight, but it worked the entire night and the whole family had great sleeps. The blackout curtains were excellent too. Entertainment in the room was great - when it worked. One movie I tried to watch five different times with each time it stopped thinking I was no longer watching it when I was, then I couldn't get back into the system at all. I rang the front desk, someone came by but I worked it out how to fix it before they arrived. Which was to turn the power off at the wall and then turn back on. Was a pain but at least the kids and I managed to get through a couple of movies. One thing about the entertainment: films that had a long synopsis pushed the price off the screen and there was no way to scroll down to see what the price for the film was. I quickly worked out that they were all free, but it might be better to have the price higher on that information page, such as under the film title. Breakfast was great, very happy with the selection. The dining area was suffering a little from the post-construction blues with one very large window still having the X taped on it. That remained for a few days until it was removed. There were obviously some wires awaiting lights etc in places. Overall the food was excellent. A couple of times we were just let down but obvious confusion or orders being forgotten or overlooked. Some staff were excellent and much better than others. The foyer was impressive in scale and obviously, the ballrooms will be great for conferences. We saw that being used well which was good. It really was just the little things that let it down but that affected the overall feeling for the place.

The resort looked amazing and facilities were fantastic. When it picks up a bit it should be lovely but, and this is nit-picking, we all felt the majority of staff were incredibly inattentive. The resort was eerily empty during our stay, but at the bars and restaurants we had to work hard to get drinks, food, plates cleared etc - not a horrible experience of course but definitely not what we expect from a five star hotel. The check-in process too was uneccersarily long - 20 mins standing around after a long flight wasn’t nice. The hot water in the rooms was also a letdown - some days we had none at all and on others it always took upwards of 5 minutes to come through.

Everything was just a little off: - My first night, I had room service delivered and there was no food on the tray - The room doors don't close without a pull so they often were left open - food and drinks would be ordered and not come or come an hour later - no minibar - the signs on the doors re: keeping your towels to save trees had information about NZ on it - some food you could get anywhere at the resort but this did not extend to drinks- confusing - showers in the gym looked like they had never been cleaned - other hotels of this star level offer calendars of events and activities (yoga, etc) - no hot water most days for showering - hair dryer would stay on even after you turned the wall switch off None of these things were show stoppers but they were not what you would expect from a hotel of that costs. The staff were lovely and always there to save the day when things weren't going right.

The hotel and staff was very nice and amazing. One thing that we missed is white sand beach and more veges on breakfast.
