Standard has dropped quite a fair bit. Hope the management will look into this. The morning after I checked-in, I notice smoke in my toilet. Thinking it could be either someone smoking or a fire, I called the operator and asked if it was a smoking floor. She said no and passed me to the manager, who said she will look into it. When I left my room after using the toilet, I went down to the reception to allow them to go into my room to check the smoke smell and asked if there were updates. Overall, it seems like the management didn't put any priority into the this matter and merely just knocked and asked the guest next door if he/she was smoking (even this took time as the manager said they had other priorities). This involves the safety of the whole hotel and every staff and guest who's there, but I was extremely disappointed that no one took this matter seriously. The manager said if there was a fire, the fire alarm would trigger. I told her that there's no smoke detector in the toilet and if a guest is reporting a smoke smell, shouldn't you be worried? Anyhow, I don't think the management (that day) knew the danger and prioritized very wrongly. In my humble opinion, it was probably someone smoking in the toilet (even though it's a non-smoking hotel) and the culprit was not found. I do hope that the management sees the seriously of smoke and the potential risk of fire to prioritize and keep everyone safe and alive. This is very disappointing. Apart from that, there was no soap holder in my toilet, the bidet hose was leaking, and the previous soiled guest's towel was still hanging behind the door (2 sets).

The Room was spacious. But the layout was odd (dark purple coloured wall, oversized cabinet for kettle/pantry, long beam/wall to place TV and closet in the room. I realized the layout for the rest of the rooms in my row are the same as well. The shower area collects water and it doesn't dry even overnight. This may cause hazard (bathroom layout issue).The breakfast could be improved. There were some stations that the food was not refilled since I entered and exited the buffet ( about 1 hour +-). Cheese (need more varieties) and cereal selection could be improved. Perhaps to include granola and yogurt. Fruits were underripe. Sarawak being famous for Pineapple, therefore the ripest and best quality of pineapples should be served.Gym fan/AC should be turn on when is use to facilitate ventilation. Other than that, nice hotel overall.

I love everything bout this hotel, the delicious food, the comfy pillow & mattress and especially the mind blowing view from my room! No smoking room but my roommate is a smoker, she needs to go down to lobby to smoke :p It was mind therapy! I feel good after staying in Pullman Hotel. Will back to Pullman Miri again but a price a bit pricey :)
