This is a magnificent hotel in beautiful location, easily accessible to city and airport. The service was excellent, and could not fault the food. It was a real treat to stay there. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff were professional yet warm and approachable. Both my son and I enjoyed our stay immensely!

Lack of fresh milk. No mugs. Bar area interiors shabby. No extra blanket. Air conditioning did not work effectively. No menus for the restaurant. Disliked walking my Grandson through revolving doors.

The Accor staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne and some sweets as a welcome gift for our wedding night. Staff was extremely helpful and even allowed us to store our extra luggage for 1 week as we headed directly to the airport for our honeymoon. The room was very clean with a nice view of the harbour and very well located.

The hotel is beautifully located and staff was very friendly. The only exception is that I was staying at room 1103 and there was a little sofa/table at the end of the bed. When I woke up in the middle of the night and lights were on auto switch off, I knocked my leg into the edge of the wood. My leg was immediately swollen and bruised. The position of the wooden table/sofa at the end of the bed is a safety hazard. They clumsily left the extra fold out bed along the narrow corridor hence with the wooden table/sofa at the end of the bed, accidents like that can easily occur. Also, the buffet breakfast was very skimpy. I had to alert the waiter to refill the salad dressing and they took so long to fill it up. Otherwise, the comfort of the hotel was good overall.

From the moment we arrived, nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. The lounge staff always gave that little bit extra to ensure the time spent was enjoyable. Elmo, Francisco, Fei and Zac always went the extra mile making us feel most welcome and special.

This was the second time we stayed at the hotel and were made to feel very welcome. We were upgraded to a Darling Harbour room as Accor Plus members, which was very nice, and the welcome bottle of wine was most appreciated. The bed was fine, although a bit on the firm side for me, and the doona was too warm for most of the night. Missed having a top sheet on the bed. Otherwise the room and bathroom are first class and the view is fabulous. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff professional, helpful & friendly. Decor in room tired. In service food terrible - we sent a meal back - the replacement Creme Brulee was burnt, grainy & below par for a restaurant. The hot chips were cold, chewy - these were not eaten however the staff member did offer to replace. The fresh juice cocktails were extremely average. All in all not of the quality a restaurant should serve. The receptionist on check out took note of this & said I would be contacted (nothing to date), I was told this meal would not be charged for - it was charged on my credit card. Overall rating 3-4/10 extremely disappointed.

This stay surpassed every review I read on tripadvisor, from the first encounter at check in with Thomas, to the upgrade, executive lounge tour and breakfast. Every encounter was pleasant and friendly. Garland at the bell desk remembered my name after having served me only once. What a fantastic team you have. That's your greatest asset.

Stay was generally fine. Breakfast is the same everyday and there is no variety at all. I received a smaller room this time compared to my earlier trips. I also had a real issue with crediting of points for my stay in this trip and earlier trips. I was given a ridiculous reason - I would only get credit of points if I booked directly and not if my office used a travel agent for the booking. This is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard and I couldn’t even believe it when I heard it. Then I got the same excuse on an email from the hotel. That is when I realised you guys have totally lost it. This incident coupled with other incidents at the nearby Novotel now convince me that your group’s hotels will never be my first choice. I had actually thought that I would try the Sofitel after my earlier bad experiences at the Novotel hoping that this would be better. But it appears that you constantly try to outdo yourself to create one unpleasant incident at least.

Our Darling Harbour view room was of average size. Much of the space is taken up by a bathroom with free standing tub. The lighting system was very frustrating. The only way to use the table lamps is to have all the overhead lights on as well, which completely defeats the purpose. The
