« Some disappointments »

Overall a good hotel. There are opportunities for improvement compared to other Accor hotels. The restaurant has very good meals. The chef is good, however the kitchen is quickly overwhelmed and wait time is excessive when groups or wedding parties arrive which will put a lot of people off. The wait staff are very friendly but not adequately trained. Dishes are not cleared away for lengthy periods of time.

The hotel is lovely, its on the outskirts of Goulburn just off the highway - close to The BIG sheep and only a short drive to the centre of town. The rooms are modern, well appointed and have double glazing. There is plenty of free parking, close to the rooms. The on site restaurant is worth visiting for dinner and has a breakfast buffet. There are also a number of other eateries, a petrol station and Coles Express close by.

Can never fault anything. The staff are always very friendly, the rooms are spotless very quiet and you can not hear outside noise . The restaurant is very nice and the selection of choices is wonderful.

« Served its purpose but disappointed in amenities, cleanliness of room and attitude of 1 of reception staff members »

Moved single beds so that 2 were side by side and there were dust bunnies and light debris under bed. Given that the beds were easy to move this should not have happened. The microwave is way too high. If the food on turntable stopped at back I had no show of reaching it. Very dangerous if food was very hot. Reception staff member argued with my son and grandson about the pool (or lack thereof) and the fact that it does still appear on the google photos and description. The staff member was correct in that it was not in the website but should have just apologised and said that it would be reported that the pool was still being advertised in other sites and see if it could be rectified. Arguing with a client and a very disappointed little boy is not good PR.

We stayed one night on our way to port macquarie and spent the night so completely unsettled as the room was so dirty. Before I had noticed how revolting the room was, I had to call reception as the battery to the tv was dead and as i reached for the phone, I noticed a giant head sized yellow stain on my pillow slip. Plenty of pillows so I put that aside forgivingly but sat on the bed to make the call and noticed a bright pink stain on one of the sheets. Looking closer, this sheet also had tears and holes so i moved it a little and saw that the actual quilt was revolting. Stains of every colour and every body fluid in just one corner of the quilt. I didnt dare look any further. I called reception and asked for the new battery and what could be done about our bedding. The receptionist was nice enough and I was told it would take a little while as she was the only staff member on this sunday night 8pmish. My 5year old daughter was already in her single bed and I just hopedvthat her bedding was not as disgusting as mine as it was too late to change it for her. The receptionist showed up with a brand new quilt and 2 sheets. She seemed flustered so I offered to make our bed so she could get back to reception. Having the new bedding should have helped with the unclean feeling however I went to charge my ipad at the power point at the kitchenette and noticed there was pasta sauce flicked all over the splashback and benchtop was oily. I gave up and sat down on the couch however I look to my left and see that old what im guessing was icecream melted and dripped all over the side of the bedside table. Clean on top but sitting on the couch, it is apparent that noone cleans or checks the sides of the furniture. Super obvious when at eye level with the couch. I wasnt looking for faults or cleanliness issues but continued to be upset at the state of our room. I was going to mention all ofbthe issues on checking out but I was not asked how our stay was and was rushed through quickly so did not bother voicing my experience. We had booked for one more night a week later on our way back from port macquarie and I just dreaded returning for the entire week. Luckily, the second room on surface appearances, seemed cleaner. I tried not to look closely as I already had the heeby jeebies from our last visit. I dont understand why the first room was so disgusting. I booked the rooms based on all the positive reviews but our experience was far from positive. I would seriously hesitate booking with you again unfortunately.
