Our family of 4 (2 x adults, 2 x kids 10 & 12) recently stayed at The Mercure for 2 nights. The beds & pillows were super comfy and heating was great (it was a freezing weekend at the racetrack for us). The lady at check-in was polite and helped us with a few queries regarding taxis etc and she booked a taxi for us to eat out with friends. We enjoyed a few drinks on the comfy couches in The Edge Bar whilst watching an NRL game with friends who also stayed at The Mercure on the Saturday night. The free wi-fi was great and the mini bar was reasonably priced. Mini bottles of fresh milk were provided with the ample supply of tea/coffee items. For our purposes, we really enjoyed our stay as it was convenient to early morning quick breakfasts from the nearby McDonalds before heading to Wakefield Park Raceway. All in all, the four of us were happy with our stay and service. Happy to stay again

Check in warm, welcoming & informative. Very positive in all areas with the exception of food quality. Staff delivery was exceptional, however although the food had fabulous plate appeal and delivered hot. The taste/consistency of the food was ,well, “rubbery” and the meal selection I thought was limited. The menu was trying to be hip and modern but somehow missed the mark on the chefs execution. The above is a critique not a criticism. You did ask for an honest opinion. Don’t get me wrong I will definitely stay here again but may be bit more judicious in meal selection. I had a LASKA style dish and my wife a mushroom patty style pattie. I don’t recall the menu names. The meals just lacked luster for price. The staff: reception, room service, housekeeping were exceptional & of the standard one would expect of the Mecure Brand.

Staff friendly and helpful. Booking direct worked better than on-line which would give me rates only in GBP. Room was comfortable and well fitted out but was very hard to heat, the unit on the wall just was not managing on a very cold night in Goulburn. Room also smelt musty. Did not eat in the restaurant or have breakfast so no comments on those aspects. Overpriced for what I needed that night.

We were thrilled to receive a gift of any 2 items from the mini bar as an Accor member and a chocolate. The room was clean but had a bare feeling without a warm atmosphere. It was great to get a upgrade to a larger room with a spa but we really wanted the espresso machine in the original room we’d booked and that was not available in the upgraded room or upon request. It was a shame it was a Sunday and the restaurant wasn’t opened but we knew that beforehand. It was also a shame that we had to drive around and back to the front where the main building was to access the dining area for breakfast. The photo in advertisements look terrific but not all buildings looked like that which was disappointing.
