This was our second week stay in Goulburn and after our first motel disaster last week it was a delight to stay at the Mecure. Very clean and comfortable. We will be staying again this week and on future trips.

« Will stay again »

This was our first visit and we were suitably impressed. Room was huge (twice the size of the place we had stayed at the previous night) and you could almost hold a party in the bathroom! The restaurant was closed Sunday night but a lovely lady had phoned us in advance and warned us. Breakfast the following morning was excellent, with plenty to chose from. Our only disappointment was that we could no longer gain our QANTAS points.

« overall good but restaurant was average »

we had a meeting with some important clients and we had to make do with a basic menu at the restaurant. The waitress was lovely and the food we got was good, but to have an a4 piece of paper with a very few basic choices made us look silly. I dont understand how a major chain like the Mecure has this. It should be a certain standard every day of the year. Please note i was advised it would be a reduced menu, but i had already committed to the meeting

We had a very good night stay. We also got upgraded which we were very pleased with. The only thing I could possibly suggest for improvement is maybe a pod coffee machine. Thank you for the wonderful nights stay

« An unusually dissatisfying experience »

I often stay here and usually have a fabulous comfortable stay that I even look forward to...however not on this occasion. I tried twice to run a bath (the reason I request those particular suites) and the water was a dirty brown colour, I did this twice with the same result - so no bath that night. The meal, which is usually fantastic was such a small portion (main) - which was surprising as it’s usually perfect. Then finally, the bed was lop-sided - one side of the bed was higher and very bunch and uncomfortable as though the beds were broken or uneven - very very uncomfortable. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and after a day of travelling had really looked forward to a nice stay - however I have to say it was very disappointing.

Great experience real country hospitality . You definitely feel the difference between staying in the city or country . Loved it staff were attentive could not fault except kitchen closed too early i arrived 9:00pm and couldn’t get any food sent to my room

I visit Goulburn a couple of times a year & just stayed here for the first time. Rooms are great, clean, modern & the bed was extremely comfortable. Restaurant/ Room service menu is excellent. I will always book here whenever i visit Goulburn again

Good, the toilet was too close to the wall so it was really awkward, whereas the toilet/bathroom area is massive and to put a toilet right next to a wall where you hit your leg on and have a paper dispenser hit your arm is not comfortable

Very comfortable. Was kindly upgraded to king spa room 114 (Accor silver member has its rewards!) only thing I could fault was the public toilet paper type dispenser unit in the bathroom. Upgrade back to a normal toilet roll fitting and +++a for this country city establishment.

Your other Mercure Hotels could learn a lot about cleanliness and friendly staff from Goukburn Mercure. It was spotless and the staff were all caring and friendly. Often cleaning staff let a hotel down, but this would be the cleanest hotel we have stayed in.
