« Very good hotel »

Excellent welcome & check-in; excellent room with shower, as requested; excellent buffet breakfast. I am handicapped, with reduced mobility. As a result breakfast room staff, if available, often offer to assist me at the breakfast buffet, carrying my plate and coffee. This did not occur. Of course, it is NOT expected but it is nice if it occurs.

« I think we must have annoyed our waiter somehow. »

For us, a good restaurant is important, perhaps the most important reason for booking a hotel. I don’t mean we require a Michelin star experience, just a decent meal in a relaxed environment. On our last two visits we couldn’t fault the food or the service. This time it was different. Perhaps it was because we asked for a little more time to review the wine menu before ordering, or that we knew what we wanted for desert straight away. Whatever we seemed to hit a wrong note with our waiter from the get go. We ordered a vegan pattie and a Caesar salad with 2 cafés gourmands to follow. When the waiter delivered the food and gave us a 'bon appétit' we thought he may have forgotten the wine so reminded him. In fact he said he hadn’t forgotten, he was just waiting until the course was ready. I wish he hadn’t, the food was bad, really bad. The vegan dish tasted strongly of oil and the my meal has more in common with a Cobb salad than a Caesar. The combination of chicken, bacon, and hard boiled eggs was incredibly drying in the mouth so I had to ask for some water ( there was none on the table ). It was a great relief when the cafés gourmands arrived, good selection of mini deserts with what looked like a decently strong coffee, We began to relax. My husband finished before me and the waiter came to clear the plates. “I’m not finished” I said to which came the reply, “I’ll just take the plate then” leaving me holding a coffee cup without a saucer and the remains of my desert on the tablecloth. Unfortunately by removing the plate he also took the sugar for the untouched coffee but hey-ho, I could do with losing the weight! My husband and I looked at each other in disbelief. There were a total of 12 diners in the restaurant for two waiters and we were the ones under pressure. I quickly finished my coffee and left. I doubt we will be back.

We enjoyed staying at your hotel. The staff was always polite and helpful. The food was good. Plenty of parking. Very unusual though was that you allow dogs in the restaurant.

« Pleasant overnight spot on way south »

Stayed here before so knew to expect a great place with lovely gardens and pool. Sympathetic and discreet separation of individual guests from coach parties. It will remain on our list as somewhere reliable and convenient.

« Great short break with lots of benefits »

We had a very nice room which was unfortunately rather dark because of nearby trees although my wife did spot red squirrel. The pool area was lovely and the pool heated to a comfortable 28 degrees. There were also free bicycles available which was great. The restaurant was very nice and the food good.

I paid for a "Junior Suite" which was exactly the same size and layout as a standard room my friend booked. The room smelled of sewerage for the entirety of my stay and after asking the management to resolve it their attitude was appalling and the issue was not resolved.

Having stayed at the hotel before, we knew that it would be a very pleasant overnight stop. Our room was very good but the downside was that , having arrived at 2 pm, we had to wait 2 hours before we could get in it.

An excellent welcome on reception. The two ladies on duty could not have been more helpful. They were a delight to meet. Rooms were of a high quality and immaculately maintained. Food in the restaurant was good but expensive. Service was relatively slow and lacking in welcome and friendliness.

The manager of the hotel (Valerie) had been very aggressive towards us and are children, she had a problem with a British family on the knight we arrived at the hotel, (not us). Then decided to treat every British family the same way, being very rude and even making my son want to move hotels, we will never stay at mercure hotels again, as 50% of the staff were rude to my family, my son and his friend were playing in the pool, Valerie, had shouted at then for jumping in, but didn’t say anything to 10 or so other French children who were jumping in the pool, very disappointed the the whole experience.

A warm welcome and although we were a little early we booked in as soon as the room was ready. We were fortunate to have an upgrade to a privilege room. Very comfortable bed, spacious, cool room. Very good bathroom facilities and a lovely breakfast.

« Odd location name »

An excellent hotel with an above average restaurant and a very pleasant swimming pool. Tge room, cleaning, and reception were all, as always with Accor, very good W 0e do, however, wonder at the Hotel claim to be Orange Centrale. The hotel is actually about 1.5 km from the centre of Orange with no public transport ( a total walk of 6 km per day for two visits to the centre. Good for us, but slightly misleading!!!!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay at the mercury hotel orange on our way down to the south of France 🇫🇷. It is a more than comfortable hotel and the rooms are modern and well equipped with tea and coffee facilities and modern decor. There is a beautiful swimming pool and outdoor area with plenty of entertainment to keep families of all ages entertained. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant that was first rate and The breakfast was first rate. Orange centre is a short walk past a beautiful field of sunflowers 🌻 and there is also a sceinic train that leaves the hotel into the town. Well worth a stay.

Nice place to stop for the night on our drive from Modena, Italy to Paris, France. Friendly and Quick Service. Breakfast buffet was fine, I would stay again if I was going to be in the Orange, France area.
