« perfect weekend »

We spent a perfect weekend in Paris at the Mercure Opera Grand Boulevard. The staff, really everyone, was really nice. The room is small, but nicely decorated, as well as the bathroom. Everything is neat and clean. Breakfast was ok.

Room was not nice or new. Breakfast was poor. Location was poor- dirty streets, a lot of homeless people. Front desk poorly manned and no concierge.

« An unpleasant stay »

I was in a Mercure hotel before, so I booked 5 nights in a standard room. When I arrived, I realized that the room was too small, so I asked for a larger one that costs 30 euros more per night (In total 205.32 per night). Although the room supposedly had air conditioning, it did not work. As I reported but they did not repair it, I requested another room with the air conditioning working well, but they did not have it. Meanwhile, I asked to extend my stay for 2 days with a similar rate, but I had a very unpleasant surprise when I realized that they applied the full rate (360.06 euros per night) for the same room. I complained to the manager and told her that I felt mistreated but she told me that Paris was full because it had many conventions (Classic answer), but I checked the rate on the website and the price was around 230.00 euros. The room service did not make the room one day. The breakfast was excellent and the staff is polite. I moved to the Crowne Plaza (Paris-Republique) to end my vacation, in a larger room with an air conditioner that works perfectly. This hotel has many more services and it costs me more or less the same.

« The worst room in pur trip »

The room was too small for 2 people. My brother had sit on the bed before I could get out of the toilet / shower area.. This room is not intended for 2 people. How can you charge so much for such a little space. Never ever again I wills tay with you.

Overall stay was not bad. The room is fairly spacious. The bed is hard tho and the pillows are not fluffy. Room is clean and nice and so is the bathroom.

We thought the room was adequate. My husband had to bend down in the shower, that was a first for us. The room was clean. The hotel didn’t have skyview TV and unfortunately we don’t speak French. The location was very good. The breakfast was very good. We didn’t get any help with our luggage when we checked in so I thought that wasn’t part of the service. The restaurant next door was fantastic. The next day the man was trying his best to help me with downloading pictures and I’d like to thank him again.

The room safe did not work thus we had to call down to the desk for them to open and close the safe. Staff we extremely helpful especially assisting me in ordering e-tickets where instructions in french proved a problem. We would probably opt for a larger room next time we stay with Mercure.
