Everything was fine just one element to consider. I received a knock on my door at about 7pm and when I opened it a big guy was stood their and said he had come to repair my hot water. He had no ID or uniform and if I am honest it was weird for both him and me because I would not let him in immediately ( he could have been anyone ). My point is around ID tags or uniform to identify your maintenance colleagues, he was perfectly polite and this is in no way a complaint about your colleague - it would simply have been a better experience for me and him if some ID would have removed the awkwardness / distrust.

On arrival, we were given an upgraded room but it was warm and I could not open the window. The Staff tried but it then jammed open! They found us another comfortable room, helped us to transfer our belongings and then gave us compensatory gifts, which we appreciated. After that , the stay went as planned. All the Staff were helpful, the place was kept spotlessly clean and the continental breakfast buffet one of the best we have ever had, even on the continent!

I stay in hotels at least 100 nights a year so I always give an honest and fair opinion of what I think of the place and its surroundings. It was my first visit to this hotel due to my regular more centrally located hotel being fully booked. On arrival the car park to the front of the hotel had spaces, seemed clean and tidy and was charged at £6 which I thought very reasonable and paid for with room. Very friendly, chatty and welcoming greeting from the reception ladies. I should have booked a twin room rather than a double and this was quickly rectified with an upgrade to a family room at no extra charge. I was then told about the facilities available and timings which was very helpful. The room was of average size, clean and tidy but felt a little dated in fixtures and fittings as if it were once a motel in a previous life and had a few things done to it at minimal cost to drag it into the 21st century. No air con and although the velux window opened it was restricted to a couple of inches which made the room quite stuffy. Bedding, Mattress, Pillows were all clean and comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. There did seem to be a workout world or gym to the rear of the hotel and music pumping out with a lady saying grapevine every 5 minutes for a few hours but it didn't annoy me enough to complain or move room or motivate me enough to get off the bed and join in. Few issues with a slightly broken shower hose, a hard to flush loo, and a slow draining sink but these didn't upset my stay and I mentioned them to the receptionist on check out. Bar was simple but adequate and free coffee machine a really great touch. Breakfast was included with the room rate but I didn't have time. Overall for the money its very very good value for what you are getting. With friendly staff which can always polish off the rough edges with a smile and that makes a huge difference to any customer. I would certainly stay here again and recommend to any friends who were wanting a functioning, clean no frills hotel at a very reasonable price. Many thanks

Once checked in and paid (£6 for parking but I had saved that by being a Le Club Accor member), found my room which was lovely and spacious. Only niggle was the soap dispenser by the sink hadn't been fixed properly/or fixing was loose so dropped off when I tried to dispense soap. This happened again so thinking this needs looking at. Otherwise, comfortable and warm room and liked the bedside table that rotates over the bed for you to have a drink or snack sitting in bed. I slept well and wasn't disturbed by other guests, awaking refreshed. Shower was just fine though took a little while to warm up.

Staff are superb and breakfast excellent. However, as with many hotels, the bed is too hard. The lift needs servicing, making a load groaning noise.

Staff didn't know how to work the tills, so getting a pint would take 5 minutes. Hotel room was tiny. In room desk was too small for anything so the laptop table given made me feel like I was in a hospital. Breakfast was a joke, unless I was desperate for cereal it was dry cheese and ham with a tiny boiled egg and some manky fruit. Both nights I had to order my 3rd choice on the menu, it was refreshing to know none of the food was prepared in-house when the waitress would respond with "The Pizza's haven't arrived yet" - I'm glad i was being fed ready meals. Only good point was that the bar was reasonably priced, although it should have been free to compensate for the dreadful room. Best advice, shut it down and completely renovate the place.

Wasn't happy because I reserved a room gave my card details over the phone then told I wouldn't be charged. I wanted to pay cash as I got to the hotel. As I got to check in the lady said at the desk told me I was already charged. Overall I am not happy.

The sofa bed was made up and as a single occupier I would have preferred to have a sofa available. I tried to run a bath to soak in but the water was tepid. The neighbor in the next room knocked at my door to complain about the tv noise at about 11.00 - At that time of night it should be clear to guests to deal with problems through reception. I turned the tv off to avoid a fuss - as a single 65+ female I felt I had no other choice The room and the bathroom were clean but it took me a while to realise that I had to squeeze the soap dispenser most work didferently

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately the food in the restaurant wasn't brilliant with limited choices. I was disturbed in my room a couple of times by the lift noises (room 314).

Experience was a good comfortable stay. Very nice &Friendly staff. My only criticism was of other guests!! Loudly shutting doors late at night. Is there a way to make doors close quietly? Or signs in the corridors asking guests to mindful of sleeping guests like they do in the premier inn? Just a thought, but a nice stay overall, thank you.

My daughter booked this for me... Didnt expect to pay extra for parking..I'm sure its on print somewhere but she didnt see it..The room was good wasn't keen at all on the decor...but for what I needed was good enough..

Check in was very smooth. All aspects of hotel was explained . Great free tea coffee ect in small lounge area. Bar closing time. Restaraunt closing and breakfast tin. Very friendly staff . Breakfast was continental but everything you could think of . Very nice selection room was very comfortable.
