I stay in thousands of hotels for business and pleasure and this was the worst service experience ever. The physical hotel is actually very nice and the location is beautiful, but the service was horrible. 45 minute wit to check in, no towel service or water in the room, and a reception staff that forgot to order our taxi and cost us $140 and several hours due to a missed ferry. Absolutely zero English spoken, which wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for all of the service issues. Someone needs to either fix or close this hotel.

-Despite everything that was shown on the website. It was far from the reality. -First of all. Lack of security. Spotted only 3 security guards (1 at the entrance, 1 for the parking and only one to observe/guard the entire complex). Working with G4S security company (one of the largest companies). The security people working overtime and showing fatigue and depression symptoms. -The beach is accessible for the entire public, which sometimes people just passing by on the hotel complex (I was staying on apartment 207 at the end of the complex). So no safety was guaranteed. -Breakfast in the morning was a disaster, -to crowdy -staff was very friendly but running around with the guests and the kitchen/buffet Manager was not well experienced. lack of coordination/organisation of his staff members. -lack of hygiene - coffee machine and just for the record check the tea pots inside and you will notice. (unbelievable, it was full with rust). -No cooling/chills for fruit and charcuterie/cheese (bacterium sensitive). -no marking/names on the various dishes (ex. jam, olive oil,..) Overall and sadly enough. This does not seem to bear repetition.

Room and accommodations were clean, modern and comfortable. The hotel is a beautiful property. My only complaint is that as this is a beachfront property towels should be made available for use on the beach!

When having dinner, we ordered a bottle of wine. The restaurant manager came up and said he would not let my boyfriend drink. I was bewildered and did not understand why, because it took a great deal of questioning before he explained that he thought my boyfriend was Muslim, and it was during Ramadan. My boyfriend is not Arab, Muslim, or Moroccan, but the restaurant manager refused to believe us and was incredibly rude about it. He even mentioned calling the police. Finally the restaurant manager demanded to see my boyfriend's passport and then extremely reluctantly agreed that we could be served wine. Needless to say, we've never been treated like that in a hotel or restaurant, and I would say that it was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had in my life.

It's not the first time i stay at Mercure Quemado and ive always been very satisfied with my staying experience. This last time i requested an early check-in, the staff did their best to fulfill my request, i appreciate it. Very welcoming staff in general ( even the security agents and the cleaning ladies ). A special mention to the chef at the restaurant, he was very friendly and pleasant, checking if we needed anything multiple times and offering to help.

I was disappointed by the service I got during my stay. For example I kept asking for a smoothing-iron since my Check-in and I was always told they will be sending it shortly but I never got it. Reception desks were almost never responding to the phone. Once I was in the lobby and I saw three receptionists talking to each other and the phone was ringing. They kept talking and didn' answer. No drinking water in the room, except for my first day where we found one small bottle for me, my wife and my 2 kids. Nespresso capsules: 3 for my whole stay of 7 nights. Knowing I am a platinum member and I was in the suite. We were always missing towels in the room. I had to ask twice for the sofa bed to be set up. And they made me feel like I was asking for something they are not supposed to do. While in other hotels, It was undone every morning and someone was coming every evening knocking to set it up for us. In this hotel, once they set it up they never touched it again. The cleaning service was never bothering to go through the balcony on which we found even cigarette ends from the previous occupant.
