« Great wet season base »

The staff were friendly and the room was neat, tidy and fairly modern. The only thing we'd mention is that whilst sitting on the patio in the pouring rain, the gutter overflows onto the patio, making it impossible to sit out there. We held it up slightly which stopped the overflow so it may just need tightening. I'd also recommend requesting a room with a shelter over the patio as not all have it. Some sort of floor mat would be handy to wipe your feet on in the wet season also. There was also a lack of parking for boats if you wanted to be able to see it from your room.

I travelled self-drive with my 78yr old father and 11yr old daughter to Kakadu for 2 nights in the middle of wet season in January which could have been a soggy disappointment, but thanks to you it was a very successful holiday. We loved the central location of Cooinda for access to Kakadu attractions and yellow-water cruise, excellent service from very friendly helpful staff, best food in our whole NT holiday, spacious cool lodge rooms and very well designed bathrooms, amazing pool, well stocked shop. Overall luxury experience that also felt local and ethical. I would highly recommend Cooinda lodge to anyone doing a top end holiday.

« Exceptional accommodation in remote NT »

The renovated accommodation was spectacular - I stayed in an unrenovated room 14 months prior. Although the 'kitchen counter' tops are funky in their design with holes, items can easily slip through .. and into the waste. Also, it turns out that waste removed from rooms can make its way to the tip within hours. Sadly, within the first 16 hours of checking in our keys were 'stolen'. Very possibly, they had fallen through into the waste that house keeping removed, and which went promptly to the tip. Besides the dramas that this caused, the stay was pleasant, thanks. We had a Queen bed plus a single, the single bed we pushed against the wall and set up as a 'lounge', making it so much better than just a room with a queen bed. Thanks, and I look forward to coming again .. hopefully with a hook/drawer for keys, or else no holes in the counter tops .

We absolutely loved our stay at Kakadu. Our room was spacious, smartly laid out and very private feeling. Great to have a fridge + extra bed to put our suitcases on. Loved the grounds and hotel folks were very helpful.

Lovely and very cozy hotel! An ideal location for exploring Kakadu Park! Staff and owners are very friendly and competent, true professionals of their craft! Breakfasts, dinners are very tasty, especially memorable steaks from barramundi. I wish to Cooinda Kakadu Lodge development and prosperity!

The stay itself was fine - the boooking procedure was a nightmare. I booked in September and get there for New Years and they have no room booked under my name - 22 emails proof says that I did - was not impressed.

Please accept our apologies that you found the booking process a nightmare, I can see that you made the booking via email in September and added an extra room also in September and then amended your dates in November, as I have booking confirmation's for your three rooms from September I am a little confused as to how there was no room under your name when you arrived, perhaps an oversight from staff member checking you in, not ideal but we are all human and as such mistakes do happen. It is disappointing that this went on to negatively impact your stay. If you would like to discuss your experience further please don't hesitate to contact me. « Cooinda has great potential but needs upgrading »

All staff were fantastic - reception, cleaning, restaurant. In Wet Season needs mats so don't tramp water and mud into room. Drainage around entry door needs work. Needs cloth for wiping bench after making coffee. One side of our bed had big outward slope, mattress obviously wrecked.

Our stay was pleasant. check in took awhile even though we were 1 of 2 people checking in. One of our party had an issue with their room key after dinner. (the batteries had gone flat). Staff did attend & were friendly. Our room was clean, the sliding door to the verandah was broken & took a bit of jiggling to be able to lock.

Customer service was excellent. Was really great to see Aboriginal and non Aboriginal staff members. Cooinda is located in such a pretty area, it would have been nice to signpost a few walks for guests to do. I'd also like to see more effort made regarding the resorts environmental efforts and information encouraging guests to do the same. For example, single use non recyclable cups were offered for water in the dining room - these could be replaced with glass. Plastic spoons were also offered for coffee when real spoons could help reduce landfill. Guests have come to expect more in the area so it would be good for Cooinda to improve it's efforts.

The room was fine, but not that impressed with the service standard. - there was a dirty mug when we got there - no new glassware/mugs were given the next day - rubbish bins and dirty mugs not taken - we had to request new towels because no one came to clean. It was when it was really rainy so were not drying. -

all good, had dinner at the restaurant on the Friday which was excellent for all five of us, had dinner on New Years eve which was very disappointing for most of us, I had Barramundi which was dry and or overcooked . rooms were clean and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful.

« It was a wonderful 1 night getaway to explore yellow water billanong. »

Everyone was quite friendly and the pizza's were awesome! Room was functional & clean. We were happy that we choose Cooinda. There was no water in the fridge on arrival however, when we let them know, they gave us a couple of bottles. Late check out wasn't a problem. We would definitely stay there again.
