« I was most pleased with my stay at Hotel Pullman. »

The room was excellent, comfortable and included everything I needed. I would very much like the swimming pool to be open a bit earlier in the morning. It seems like the restaurant was not prepared for the number of guests, ran out of food for lunch and dinner.

Friendly staff, very nice room. Too cold water in the shower first morning, next morning all fine. The food/kitchen could easily be improved. Expected better and sufficient food in a 5 star hotel.

« Nice hotel with the perfect location, but....... »

The hotel is very good and my room was very nice. The bed was excellent! And the hotel location right in the heart of Riga old town is perfect. But, we had lunch two days at the hotel and there was not enough food for our large group. The second day the 6-8 people who arrived last at the lunch did not get much to eat. No fish, no mashed potatoes, no vegetables, only some Beef Stroganoff and cake. I asked one of the waiters if they at least had some more potatoes, but she said there wasn't any.

« The food was not good »

I am very happy with the room and service of the staff. But the first morning there was not warm water in the shower. And the food: the breakfast, lunch and dinner was unsatisfactory. The biff stroganoff was brunt and tastet awful and in general the good was disaopointing.

« Nice room and atmosphere. Bad standard on the food, all meals. »

First impression when arriving was excellent, and so was my room. The service was at very high standard. Food was below average - you need a new manager in the kitchen ! Neither the lunches nor the dinner was well prepared , and we had to og somewhere else after dinner to feel we had a proper meal. The luch the last day, Beef stroganoff - terribel ! - the meat was burned ! The conferense room ; the Chairs is so hard to sit on that they reminded us of old benches in Church. The dinner room is verry bad for arranging a Conference dinner , as the room is so long that yoy can hardly have hear what speachers try to say - a microphone is needed, and it is almost impossibel to arrange "get together" atmosphere.

Everything was great. The reception and bar staff were very enguaging and helpful. The one small negative commeny I had was cleaning g service, the staff missed a few minor things occasionally, such as used glasses and some colbwebs, also service seemed sporatic and late in the day at times. Consider turn down service, although not necessary, it's the small things that let a hotel guest know thier come comfort and satisfaction is in mind. I have stayed at the Grand Palace, Riga a few times and thier housekeeping staff is exceptional. Other staff members at Pullman could be a bit more enguaging and friendly. Overall the hotel is BEUTIFUL and the room I stayed in was great. Breakfast was impeccable and the gym among the best.

« A decent hotel although room preparation is hit and miss »

Pleasant enough. Upon arrival I found a hand written welcome message from the hotel manager addressed to someone else (previous occupant perhaps). I found toiletries with an open seal (used by previous occupant) and no soap. On the second day I got soap and fresh toiletries, but no floor towel/mat. So I think room preparation / servicing needs some checking and perhaps better training. So the staff work off check lists or just do what suits their mood ? I also did the Accor online checkin which is supposed to streamline the front desk check in process. It doesn't !!! Nothing that should have been prepared was prepared. The Credit card pre-authorisation stuff is not integrated. My room key was not prepared. It all rather makes the Accor online checkin process rather pointless.

Really appreciate the friendly staff, and great service they provide. The quality of the food and drinks are really good as well, in addition to the high quality of the amenities, bathroom, and beds. The only thing which I think should be improved is the quality of the bedding - is if there is a queen / king size bed, the bedding doesn't actually properly fit. It would be good to have mattress covers which fit the bed (currently they are way too small and noticeable), 1 duvet (rather than doubling up on the single duvets), fitted sheet or bigger flat sheet (currently flat sheet which is too small) - else the beds can be uncomfortable to sleep in.

The atmosphere was really nice just from the moment we walked in. Really professional receptionists at the desk, who made an immediate eye contact with a smile.
