« Lovely place to rest your head after a day of driving into Kakadu »

After a day of driving and sightseeing, we were really looking forward to our stay at the Crocodile Hotel at Jabiru. The room was excellent along with the pool in the courtyard. Everything was beautifully maintained and we had a very pleasant stay.

« Fantastic place to stay with great amenities »

Sadly we only had 1 night, would have loved to stay longer. Great hotel. Very comfortable room. Dinner and breakfast were great.

« relaxing staff were friendly and helopful. »

Dinner was lovely with good food. As my hubby and I were there with out our children it would have been nice been seat away from the play area. The room had very comfortable bed however the TV was center in the room my Husband would have liked center with the queen bed. I did notice that under the desk there were cob webs and a lot of dust. The bathroom meet our needs but was looking tired and old. Over all we did enjoy our stay. We found friendly cleaners as we walked around the top level. then garden was neat and tidy and pretty.

« Great service but a tired hotel »

The service was really excellent, and the restaurant was also great, but the hotel itself is badly in need of attention. The bathroom tiles were grubby, the wardrobe’s bottom rail was completely rusted (so the doors didn’t work), the carpet had white stains all over it, there was a ceiling fan with no switch, the aircon worked but you couldn’t open any windows as there was no fly screen on the doors. We were four people but only 3 cups, glasses, chairs were provided. But when we asked, they immediately brought us more. It’s an expensive place for something so tired.

« Unique, but tired building in great position with great service »

Overall very good, but building is a bit tired and needs a bit of a clean on exterior.

David Couples - 17/07/2018 AccorHotels certified review

Accommodation was clean and comfortable. The Buffet Special left a lot to be desired and was overpriced. The food was only warm and the vegetables were vey hard to eat as they had not been steamed long enough. We should have selected from the menu

it was satisfactory

« decent stay »

Everything was clean and comfortable. I believe it was about $350. A bit more than the hotel is worth even "resort style" The hotel did not offer "resort" just in a park. Though accommodation was all booked, so it was fine. Maybe a nice touch would bring it to the price mark like a free meal. Everything was fine, just felt I was in an average decent hotel.

« Customer service poor, room and pool pleasant »

No welcome drink. Bad food. Wrong information from reception. Wrong charge on credit card. No lifts, no assistance. No pool towels. Staff unwelcoming and sometimes downright rude. How do they get away with it? No other hotels in the area.

« Excellent service »

A very smooth experience overall. Particularly impressed with ease of check in as an accorplus member and the food was above expectation at the hotel restaurant.

« Dinner buffet was spectacular »

Checked in just after lunch, as an Accor Plus Silver member we normally get a couple of welcome drinks on arrival - we only got given one token which was strange but was too tired after the long drive to argue it. Our room wasn’t ready on arrival so we went to the restaurant and daughter, 7, enjoyed the vast space of the kids area while we had a beverage. Found the pricing to be extremely reasonable given the remote location of the hotel. Once our room was ready, the girl from reception found us and gave us instructions and a map on how to get there. Great service. We did not get given the room we had booked (one queen bed, one single on first floor) but was given a twin double room on ground floor facing the pool - aside from having to share a smaller bed with my partner this worked in our favour as was closer to the pool and the kiddo had a giant bed to herself. Had a swim in the pool - the pool water was quite murky but daughter enjoyed the swim even though the water was too cold for adult bones. There were a few children in the pool and they quickly made friends and played for a little while. The standout for us was the dinner buffet. After the hike to a Ubirr for sunset, we booked for 8pm and were delighted to see such a great spread - and everything looked fresh with kitchen continuing to bring out fresh dishes - this was impressive given the time of booking. Standout dishes were the Battered Barramundi, buffalo sausages, the roast pork in apple confit and the fresh prawns. Daughter loved the ice cream station and assorted toppings. I’d read a review about the ground floor rooms not being sound proof to people being in the pool area late in the evening but we didn’t find this an issue and slept fine. Service from all staff was great, we didn’t have long wait times for anything and while the exterior of the hotel is quite dated the inside is vibrant and has a great feel. Loved the room decor. Breakfast the next day was the standard Accor breakfast buffet which is always nicely varied. Having stayed here in the past before Accor acquired the hotel, I can say the service has improved and we would likely stay here again.

« Kakadu Great, Mercure Ordinary »

Late check in with no explanation. Very disappointing 'standard room' - No bed lamps, WiFi didn't work in room, dirty floor and bathroom, tiny fridge with freezer, no extra pillows. Staff did move us after we complained, but new room was identical just four doors up from previous. Whole complex looking very tired and in need of some updating and improvement - Marks on walls, missing paver tiles.

« Good accommodation for the location »

Overall, a pleasant stay. Rooms need a bigger fridge for those travelling remotely. The rooms are starting to get dated and need a revamp. Cable TV would be a good idea as there’s no real after hours entertainment.

« Disappointed »

Pathetic for the $269 price for one night, the room we were given #128 was a large room with a double bed, a desk with desk type chair and no other furniture to sit down on.Effectively the room was half empty and to watch TV you had to lie on the bed. The Staff and the a la carte menu in the restaurant however were excellent.

All was ok. We have no specific issues.

« avarange hotel facilities, dinner was great! »

we only had one night, hotel room looked old and in need of upgrade. Restaurant is more like a food hall, very noisy with lots of kids running around. our dinner was excellent and staff friendly.

« Modern large rooms »

We enjoyed the buffet meals, and the room had ample space. The lounge areas were pleasing to the eye with aboriginal art work and an attractive color scheme.

I was treated with respect and given good service. Both your reception and restaurant managers provided quality service when I had an issue with my suitcase lock.
