Overall I wasn’t overly impressed. The rooms were dated and very basic. The bathroom was clean but I thought the days of mouldy shower curtains were over.

My stay with Novotel was for 2 nights. I arrived in late, checked in and went to the downstairs restaurant. The food and service was dissatisfaction, after waiting patiently for 5 minutes while the girl at the front desk service 5 customers split their bills quite slowly. I then ordered a brusetta while I looked through the menu. I received this quite quickly, which was great, but to find the bread was stale. While 1/4 way through my entre my mains came out. This meant that when I went to eat my mains it was cold, rubbery and not pleasant to eat. That night my fridge hummed (this was my second stay and happened on my last visit) all night and left me with an unsettled sleep. The second day I went about my day and came back to the room after a big day at work to find that the central heating had been changed from 21 to 17. It was not nice to come back to a freezing cold room, I turned this to 22 and the room eventually warmed up. I eventually got to sleep through the fridge hum to be woken up again at 430am by the loud sound made by the central heating. The noise was as if the roof was taking off and was an unpleasant way to be woken up at such time

Comfortable bed so I slept well, however, the bathroom was dirty (what appeared to be pubic hair on bathroom sink and floor. Yes, true!). There was no shampoo or conditioner. Surprised there was no free wifi in the rooms. Hotel was in a convenient location. Staff were friendly. Bar tender was fantastic. Breakfast was fine but took a while to receive the coffees.

I had a fantastic experience, staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The manager on duty, I think his name was Matthew, was extremely professional, warm, genuine and willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction.

It was a special weekend away from home and as soon as we arrived we were greeted like we were special. The staff were very courteous making us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious again staff were friendly and helpful .

Movies wouldn’t work. Staff came to try get it started and reboot the system - but I was told that there was a high profile person staying in the hotel who was making a lot of demands, so she was busy.. but IF I really wanted to, she could restart it from at the reception once she completes things for this other person. I was getting tired, as it took 25mins since asking for help and it was after 8pm (long drive so I was exhausted). I felt more like a burden and I was less interested in watching anything now, as it seemed it wasn’t that high on the list of importance in comparison to the other guest. Room service was overpriced and disappointing for the quality received. My steak was cold and very tough, accompaniments were minimal and it took over an hour for my one dish. Considering it was a quiet weeknight, the carpark empty when I arrived and few room lights on indicating occupancy - I was surprised at the delay and how cold it was. The water pressure in the shower was terrible. Hardly felt clean afterwards - would’ve been better off holding a water bottle over my head.. The bed was not overly comfy and the pillows either too firm, lumpy or like rubber. When I was leaving the next morning, the lift wouldn’t work. It was 5:30am, hallways were a sweatbox and I became stressed standing the the lift which wouldn’t move, only kept opening the doors and closing again. Getting sweaty due to stress and general lack of circulation in the hallway/lift - I got out and tried the other lift after 5mins, which finally got time to the foyer. I was in a rush, running late - I was on the verge of tears after now hoping to be fresh for my business presentation - only to be leaving sweating, unrested and stressed. I really don’t know if I would come back. Just because I’m not rich, or important in society - doesn’t mean my concerns or requests as a patron should be any less regarded. It wasn’t a pleasant experience, it was just an experience. I had hoped for better given i stayed with Novotel.

« Enjoyed our stay very much »

We had a great time and will definitely go back. The service was outstanding. Everyone had a smile and nothing was too difficult, whether it was at check-in, the bar or the restaurant. The room was well-appointed and very clean. We were more than satisfied with the bar and restaurant. Plenty of free parking. The only downside is that the hotel is getting close to needing a paint job and a new mattresses.

My experience was fantastic. Checkin was no problem at all even at 7:30PM and we were able to grab a night cap or 2 apon returning from Dinner. Breakfast was sensational in the morning and the Staff were very firendly and great to deal with.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely friendly without being over the top. When we first arrived the lady that checked us in was down to earth and happy, every day we had a great coffee and buffet breakfast and a quick chat with the team there. Very pleased.
