Tried to check in around 11am but unfortunately was told the room was not ready. Instead took a trip to a nearby mall and returned at 2pm and they had arranged for our suitcase to be in the room already. Slight problem with this room on 8th floor that there was a constant lingering cooking smell due to proximity to the kitchen, and also the bathroom door causing water to always flow out towards the sink/toilet area. Requested for change of room but was told it was fully booked until 2 days later.2 days later the new room arranged by Mr Roland who took the trouble to inform by WhatsApp, was much better and solved both problems of smell and bathroom facilities.Breakfast was good with a decent spread and spacious dining area, featuring both local food and international selection. With the lounge undergoing renovation, we tried the happy hour at the bar tucked at the back of the restaurant at 8th floor and we were presented with "tapas" that was a selection of fried snacks and a drink choice. Feel that more can be done in this area. Was told that there will not be a privilege lounge in this hotel in the future anymore which is a pity.Gym facilities are decent and well equipped- all machines looked new and well serviced.Pool was smaller than looked in the photographs and we did not have a chance to try it out. Seems like it is shared with the ibis hotel next door.Lastly, compliments must be given for the hotel's arrangement for a breakfast box for us to go to see the Borobudur Sunrise. It was prepared for us at 3am with great detail. Also, a birthday cake and birthday wishes were presented by the staff which was a great surprise.

It was extremely fascinating to have another stay experience at Grand Mercure Yogyakarta. The circumstances I encountered is nothing except excellence. The facilities are totally satisfying. Almost all staff are friendly and humbly helpful. According to the occasion of last stay, I would like to thank to Mas Kiki, a front desk staff at the time, for his simple but sincere service and attitude during the very short check-in process. I would like to keen on appreciating Mbak Sella as well for her warm welcome and goodbye. Her enthusiasm to let me know that my article (and my pic, lol) was published on that day at first page of the biggest local newspapers while I had breakfast was just great. In short, it was just great to have another experience to stay in this excellent hotel.

we got very nice services in almost everything. The Hotel security gave us a perfect spot to park our big bike easily. The check in process was very fast and the staff hotel was very helpful. I got a very nice room with a plate of fresh tropical fruits. The hotel is in walking distance to one of shopping centres in Jogjakarta.

I chose staying at Grand Mercure without prior experience. It was my first time. Yet the friendly and helpful staffs, good food, clean and spacious room, good infrastructure inside and outside the room, straregic location as well as attractions nearby made my stay very fun and comfortable.

This is my second time staying at Grand Mercure Yogyakarta Adisucto. The first stay was this February when the hotel just soft launched. Now it’s fully launch, I can experience the great services provided by the hotel. Thank you for the room upgrade to deluxe suite. The room is spacious and comfortable especially the bed. Bathroom amenities kits are excellent! Breakfast and dining at the Purple restaurant is simply amazing. Great restaurant staff, attention of details and friendly as always. Food is great with both local Jogja and international cruisine available to choose from the menu. The laundrette services is simply great with affordable pricing. The staff will pick up the dirty laundry immediately after I have rang the housekeeping and after returning back to my room after a day appointment, the clean and folded laundry is on the bed ready to be worn. Well done to the Purple restaurant and housekeeping. I would like to take this opportunity to suggest further improvements the hotel can consider as below. 1) Having more lights in the room and corridors as the current light source is quite dim in the guest room and around the corridors of the hotels in the evening. It can be somehow scary and spooky in the evening if you are alone walking at the corridors towards the room or out of the room and in the room. 2) Provide a rack in the shower areas to put shampoos, bath gels bottles and face cleanser. There is currently nothing for me to put my stuffs while showering in the cubicle and I have to keep opening and closing the door to get my stuff while showering. 3) The water pressure in the shower is weak. It took me longer to shower than usual. Please increase the water pressure. Overall, I can say Grand Mercure Yogyakarta Adisucipto Hotel is a great place to stay and I would definetly consider staying back at this hotel when I return to Yogyakarta in the future.
