« Issue with smell in room »

There was an issue with a drainy smell in the room (room 201). Staff attended promptly and explained that running the taps could resolve it which it did. All staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here again.

« Not up to usual standards. »

Booked a Privilege Non-Smoking Room, was given a standard smoking room. Then moved to the correct room and there was lots of damage to the bed, walls and carpets. Went for breakfast the following morning, expecting a buffet - but we were only offered a single-serve ordered meal.

« Paper thin walls and no crowd control to mitigate loud guests. »

Wec stayed as a stop over to get rest from a long journey. I was awoken at 1am through to 3am by loud female guests laughing and shouting in their room which was above ours. The stomping of feet also kept me awake most of the night which was the opposite purpose of the stay so no, I'm not happy.

« Nice hotel »

Initially the room we had was lovely. Although when we got into the bathroom, the bathroom had a foul smell. A staff member poured some bleach down the sink and shower to try and fix this but it did not work. We mentioned this again and we were then moved to a 'Prestige' room. Pretty much the same although with a bit more room which was nice. Unfortunately in the room the hair dryer did not work, nor did one of our lamps or the main light above the bed which made for a pretty dark evening. Overall nice hotel, probably in need a some minor maintenance to enhance the experience.

« Nice comfortable rooms, lovely shower! »

We only stayed for one night for a wedding so really only slept and ate breakfast The room and bathroom were both nicely decorated and the bed was very comfy The only thing that let us down was the breakfast, it was not very organised, there were long periods waiting for the food to come out to the buffet, tables were left uncleared and the staff moaning about the bell that went off when the food was ready to be brought out Reception staff were very friendly and helpful

« A pleasant night's stay in a convenient location »

Great room, comfortable bed. Noisy fridge in room -- so switched it off. Noisy heating fan, but luckily it didn't need to run for long then I could switch that off too. No sockets near bed, which was a shame. No USB charging sockets, which was a shame. Only "newspapers" available in the morning to read over breakfast was local paper and "Daily Mail" -- I'd prefer you did not take this at all, even if they push it on you free, but to promote it as "news" and as the only news option you offer is appalling: please do not do this.

« Very pleased with our first booking and we will return soon. »

Very friendly and obliging staff. Reception very helpful in changing our designated room because of an unpleasant drainage smell. Could not see the logic in a more expensive breakfast if you arrived in the morning for breakfast without booking the night before. The Tea/coffee quality needs to be improved at breakfast. Buffet breakfast preferred, however the breakfast served was good and plentiful. The room was very good, large and the Air Con worked!

We arrived and was promptly checked in, however when we got to our room it was obvious someone had been smoking in there, we immediately returned to reception who apologised and put us in a different room. Within 5 minutes someone came to our room to make up the sofa bed (family of 3) bring extra towels and tea and coffee. Very efficient. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times
