« four days in Santa Marta with family »

We spent four days in Santa Marta, going to the beach (100m from the hotel) and to Bahia Concha. There's a nice swimming pool where you can have a swim or a drink. Staff was extremely helpful and kind, the last day we've also been allowed to use all the hotel facilities despite we already did our check out.

The beach was full of street venders that bother my pace. Also the hotel did not have enough umbrellas and did not offer beverage and food service over the beach area

The room was clean. Check in and check out experience was good. Breakfast experience was ok. My experience with Prisley the one from the spa was terrible. Had a manicure in the room and it was a disaster from start to finish. Stained the table and had to ask her to clean it before she left, made mess in the bathroom disposing of the dirty water, and nails did not look great. Not cut, filed or painted correctly: Missing a lot of attention to detail. It’s best not to offer this service if you do not have the right facility or talent.

I liked the quality of the beds but the room was pretty tight, the space to move is small, I don't know how can be fixed but it should be some effort. The swimming pool service was really bad. It was so crowded of kids and noisy so the adults like me who were looking for relaxation ask for something to the waiter and they pay attention long time later. When I arrived there there were three guys complaining because they ordered Margaritas half an hour ago, then I order something more simple and they spent another half an hour too. The beach is far so it would be good if they have a kiki bar or something there to drink at least water. that would make a difference. Not only chairs and umbrellas. and please open the beach early specially this place full of kids, parents wants to go early.
