Whats the point nothing will or can be done. At 12.30 girls was talking at door to a guy opposite our room for about half hour and at 4 am a drunk was at the stairs (fire exit ) banging railings and shouting we was not impressed we had a long drive home and lack of sleep.

Lovely clean hotel. Just a shame though that because of the heat the milk went funny and curdled in our drink in the room and ended up having to buy fresh milk from the bar. Even though its next to a train track and a busy motorway you could hardly hear the noise.

It was ok- the rooms are very basic but for one or two nights they are adequate. They are on the whole clean but walls had wine/water/pop splash marks on them. Pillows are like rock - I had to purchase my own and take in. Breakfast - continental was acceptable

The whole stay was without problem. This is our third time there since the beginning of the year. We have no problem with the hotel other than it looks tired. For example in our room (322) there were three chunks taken out of the bathroom door. This isn't a major problem other than it let's down the overall quality of the hotel. This can be seen throughout the hotel with it being in need of an overall overhaul in terms of features. Doors are very a priority. The room doors shut poorly and with some force rather than with a soft close. Also they are hard to shut completely and aren't sound proofed in the way that other hotels in the chain are. It is very easy to hear noise from in the corridor whilst in your room which ruins the atmosphere in your own room and isn't in keeping with the sound proof rooms you expect from the standard ibis brand.

I felt the receptionist was not very forthcoming with much information about the hotel even though I stated I had not stayed at this Ibis before. When I came down for dinner a short while later I asked one staff do I order at the bar and they said yes. I then waited 7 or 8 minutes to be served only to be told the kitchen was closed due to a large party. Neither the receptionist nor the other member of staff thought to share this information!! The pillows where very hard with no option to change to soft ones and no ear plugs provided even though trains pass right outside my window. I requested an iron at reception and would have waited but they said they would bring it to me which they did 20 minis later. The iron didn't work, I tried ringing reception but it kept ringing out, finally on the 4th attempt it was answered. 30 minutes later and I still didn't have an iron so I rang again to be told it had been taken to the wrong room and within 10 minutes I received another iron which did work. On check out you had to wait for a receptionist to return as they were off doing other things and you weren't offered a vat receipt. The receptionist was just about to walk away when I called them back to ask for my receipt.

The hotel was clean and bright and lovely, the room was basic but nice, however it was very warm and bed not very comfy, we didn’t get much sleep! Didn’t realise when booking that the breakfast included was only continental and a full breakfast was a £5 upgrade, I’d suggest going to the Toby carvery next door for an all you can eat much superior breakfast!

In brief, the accommodation was V/Good but the meals where expensive for what we had. Fish and chips, fish was watery and the ceaser salad was small with mostley lettuce. Breakfast very good. Will use again when in area but diner over the road.

I like the service the hotel offers. It is simple no frills, but that suits me. The downside is the seating bar and restaurant area are just big open spaces and lack any cosyness. The areas do not make you feel like staying for a drink.

have stayed here a number of times. Checked in ok, but went to eat in the evening was informed that they could not produce a meal as they had a big party booked in for food and were running late. No mention of this was made when I checked in, and I was very displeased, I had been up since 2am and to be suddenly told that had to wait another hour before able to get an evening meal was not good. If this situation arises, need to make sure that front desk let people know when they check in

The hotel is amazing value. Better and as cheap as a Travellodge. Pros Continental Breakfast is included and is good. Cooked is £5 extra. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. We ate in one night and the food was surprisingly good. Friendly staff Dogs are allowed. CONS Dogs are charged £10 per dog per night. We have 2 very small chihuahuas so for 3 nights we were charged £60. This is almost half of what we 2 adults were paying and the dogs did not get breakfast. We queried this and was told that the room had to be deep cleaned after we had gone. Bearing in mind that the floor in the room is hard flooring or tiles and there are no soft furnishings, how much more cleaning can you do. Under the bed there was an accumulation of dust and a toe nail clipping so for “deep cleaning” read cleaning. Shaver points do not work.
