« Convenient for station »

Our stay was comfortable. Breakfast was improved since our last stay - a cooked breakfast was included which was better than continental one. Choice is not huge but is prefectly adequate. Only problem in the stay - our daughter joined us for breakfast and to be our taxi to station. She parked her car in car park for the short time. However a week later received a parking fine of £100 - rather excessive. Perhaps we were remise in not noting her registration at the desk, but feel the fine was unwarranted.

Staff were welcoming but had to ask where the rooms were. Nice lobby/bar area. Room was modern and clean but the mattress was very hard. Despite it being Oct and cold, the room overnight was boiling. We had to open the window (which didn’t open far) and eventually open the heavy curtains to let some air in. No air con to cool room down and noise from outside kept disturbing our sleep. It must be unbearable in summer.

nice room and adequate facilities. breakfast facilities were brilliant. unfortunately myself and my dad made the mistake of ‘buying’ a coffee when we got there while we waited to get ready and were very disappointed to have paid £3 each for a coffee out of the breakfast machine. i requested a shot of baileys for £3.90 and was only served a half measure which i hadn’t realised until i sat down and accessed the internet. the staff member at the bar was new and could not answer any of my questions. it cost me nearly a tenner for 2 coffees and a half measure of baileys. this was the only dissatisfying aspect of my stay.

Staff friendly enough, hotel felt sparse and empty, room was way too small, sofa bed not fit for purpose, had to ask for extra quilts to pad it out. Used condoms on car park floor and bins overflowing.

« Handy for the station and overall the experience was good »

Overall the stay was fine as I'm frequently staying at this hotel. Only downside is when staying over the weekend coach parties arrive and this usually disrupts the restaurant meaning you have to eat later than normal and usually much earlier the next morning for breakfast. For the second time I checked in online but this time I had issues with booking the cost of dinner to the room although I had provided credit card details online and it worked the previous week. Additionally why do the room not provide hand towels?

« Much better than anticipated »

First visit to this chain of hotels. We had heard it was cheap and cheerful and so with apprehension we booked Very presently surprised: ample sized room (double) with everything we needed for the one night stay. Bathroom clean spacious and modern Easy to book ample parking and welcoming reception and bar staff. Only critisim room a little noisy but that was from road noise, not other guests and limited storage space so had we have been staying longer may have struggled Didn't realise we got a breakfast included so nice surprise Overall a great price for what we got and we will definitely be staying in an 'Ibis Style' in the future

« Send to another hotel and then charged still by IBIS! »

I booked to stay with you on a Tuesday night, only to be told once I had arrived and was in the middle of checking in that I needed to go to another hotel across town, as you had issues with some of your rooms. I clarified who would charge me, to be told that IBIS would still charge. When I arrived at the other hotel they requested payment. So I then had to call your hotel again to clarify, I was then told to pay the new hotel my original booking fee and that IBIS would cover the balance. 3 days later I checked my credit card bill only to find that IBIS had charged me, when they said they wouldn't. Therefore causing me to have to make another phone call to sort!!! Not a very good experience and from this I will not be booking IBIS again!!!

Very friendly staff, good breakfast. However the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and the children’s play corner was blocked off with stacked up furniture.

« Disappointing breakfast »

Room was good and welcoming staff on arrival. But both days when I went for breakfast there was no hot food on offer and the coffee machine stopped working. Hot plates are just arranged on normal tables and there is something a bit ad hoc about how the breakfast is arranged. Sunday morning was very busy and it looked like there was not enough food to cater for everyone and not enough staff on shift to run the floor.

Not a good night's sleep the bed was to hard only one pillow each, breakfast was shocking hardly nothing to pick from there was saute potatoes instead of hash browns on the breakfast no sausage or bread for toast, only scrambled egg and no fried eggs, no coffee or tea no croissants or pastries this to me was not a continental breakfast. On the floor we was staying on there was a radiator hanging off the wall and a bird flying about the floor. The tea, coffee, sweetener, sugar wasn't enough to make 2 cups of coffee or tea which i found very poor.

As usual everything was Good, apart from breakfast on the Sunday. The coffee/tea machine would not work. Eventually it would give hot water but nothing else. It was very crowded, but that emwas due to a group who had been at a function together all coming down at the same time. It couldn't cope. Ran out of a lot of the cooked breakfast.
