« More than I expected for the price »

Room was clean and bright. Very quiet heard no noise. Breakfast was good and varied,only had dinner on one night and was very good. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

« Comfy bed but rest not very good »

Every time we went back to our room the key card did not work. Bed comfy but test of room poor. Needs a decent chair to sit on, bathroom shower room head need to be able to turn head down as you end up with water in rest of bathroom when you are tall and need shower head at top of pope. Breakfast ok. Lots of students on bus staying at same time knocking on all doors of an evening really inconsiderate to other guests

« Great hotel but staff lack experiece »

I was disappointed that I was told I had to pay for my food immediately and could not add to my room as I had not added a card on check in - I wasn't asked! I was told that I couldn't add a card after checking in! I asked if points could be added onto my account and was told no, not possible. I lost out on loyalty points for extra spend due to staff not checking me in properly. I was disappointed with the drinks selection at the bar. Offer on for gin but only 3 available. One was not branded. Please try and get more. Had to ask for it to be served correctly. A double Hendricks should be served in a copa glass with lots of ice and not a highball. The food was excellent. I had the stroganoff and will be having it again.

On arrival after 3pm room wasn’t ready, had to move to another room. When I informed receptionist, he was quite rude and when I left the reception to move my items out of the incorrect room he was speaking to another staff member about me. It was quiet obvious. Then returning to the hotel at 2am I was informed that I was making too much noise in my room when I hadn’t infact made it to my room. I was still at the entrance.

« A good simple hotel with all the basics covered »

Overall I was satisfied and we had a comfortable stay. The location was convenient and the facilities were clean. However, there were several faults with the electric fittiings in the room and several basic things were missing. The beds were really good and easily the best part of the stay. The black-out curtain was also just right so it was easy to get a good nights sleep. The Breakfast was fine and as expected. There were no small touches that made us feel that this was anything more than a good simple business orientated hotel.

« Hard bed but great breakfast. »

The location of the hotel was perfect for my needs - I just needed a place to break up my journey so the proximity to the main roads was great. When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted warmly by a lady on reception. I’m guessing she was new as she was unsure of a few things (which was fine of course as we all go through the process of starting a new job). The man on reception who was helping her was particularly condescending towards her and he ended up essentially taking over from her to complete my check in. I found his behaviour and attitude unacceptable from a professional perspective and not something a guest should have to witness. In terms of the room it was OK for a one night stay but the bed was not comfortable at all - I found it quite hard and lumpy so I didn’t get a good night sleep. On the plus side the breakfast was great so that was a good start to the day. Check out was OK - the same lady who started checking me in was still on the desk and she was friendly. There was another lady on the desk who seemed to get annoyed with the new girl when she asked her procedural questions. I don’t know if there were ongoing conflicts with staff members but these types of things should not really be palpable by customers.

« Not allot imptoved »

Radiators would not turn off leaving a very uncomfortable temperature, the extractors have not worked in the bathroom making it a sauna. The Chinese night allot of food was left to get dry and chef could not replenish the food quick enough The hotel could do with a refurbish all rooms looking dated and facilities need to be replaced
