It would have been a 10 if there had been margarine or butter available at breakfast! I did ask to be told all that was available was already out. Also, had to seek out a member of staff to check-out. Otherwise happy

Went to the Crewe Lions charter night, food poor, service poor, and too cap it all we were in a room next too a person with 2 dogs, and every time someone walked along the corridor, they barked, up to 1.15 in the morning and then starting again at 6.

The room was ok but my wife & I came for a Dinner with Crewe Lions. My special needs had been sent to the hotel prior to the evening but on the night there was nothing for her to eat. My wife has had mouth Cancer and can only eat liquids so she asked for a smooth Chicken soup and a bowl of custards. They said they did not get the special order so she had nothing except for a bowl of custard. The breakfast we were asked to come down later as there was a coach of people in and they would be served first. Came down at 9.45 and all that was on the breakfast battered eggs and a few sausage. I approached the waitress she went away and I waited 10 minutes and they brought out some bacon and more battered eggs. I asked about sausage and baked beans and was told sausages would be another 10 minutes and they had run out of baked beans. My wife asked for porridge as she cannot eat solids and was charge £2.00 . Finally I went to check the breakfast hot plate and everything was there and I was surprised as breakfast finished at 11am. I complained the receptionist and she said there was nothing she could do.

I have been staying in this hotel for over a year on a regular basis. It is now showing significant wear and tear but it is more expensive than ever. This hotel needs redecoration and fixing some of the fixtures

« Budget experience »

I expected budget and that’s exactly what it was. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean with kettle and drink fixings and a hairdryer. HOWEVER the light on the desk didn’t work and the shower got very hot then cooler when in it, and the buttons on the shower were broken. The next morning I reported both faults to reception and asked them to look into it - about 8.30am. When I returned after 7pm the light had not been fixed. I rang reception and asked for a new desk light and was told this could not happen as maintenance had finished. I asked to change rooms as it was so dark at the desk I couldn’t work. I was told that I could not change as the hotel was full. This was a LIE - I was able to go online and book a room for the night. The hotel did then deliver a floor standing light, complete with cobwebs, which at least meant I could work. The next morning it was clear the shower had not been fixed as it periodically kept getting hot then cooling . Breakfast was decent, though there were no lids for the go cups - the wrong size had been ordered. Unfortunately my room was above the main entrance where people congregated to smoke so there was a lot of noise until midnight every night.

« Friendly staff, clean room but general maintenance and decor needs attention. »

Simple and quick check in. Room clean and tidy but bathroom shower gel dispenser fell off the wall when squeezed. Button missing on shower control, but it worked. Surprised to find no hand towel only bath towel. Toilet facilities on ground floor look tired and in the gents, one stall not in use due to plumbing fault. During the evening a burst pipe on an upper floor went water pouring through the ceiling into buckets in the open style lounge and dinning area. Buckets quickly put in place and water shut off but no general apology announced. Bar had run out of some drinks, but run efficiently by one person that worked hard to cope with serving drinks, training staff and fetching the buckets. Food that evening was hot, and served quickly and was fair value, self service breakfast was good simple range of food. The hot drinks machine is very slow and coffee not great. May look elsewhere next time I need to stop over in the area.

« Nice stay »

Much more pleasent than last time when I was here and the heating was stuck on full blast, in July when it was 30c outside and the heating made it around 10…c inside!!! Anyway, this trip was much better the room was nice and very comfortable, the bar area is pleasant, and the beer was nice too, Breakfast was OK but no eggs, and they didn't seem to want to put anymore out, I ate at 8am, coffee is always good here, and the shower in the room was lovely. Overall a nice pleasant trip to Crewe

« A little gem in crewe »

We loved it! Small and unassuming, but with an excellent bar/restaurant. If I had any minor quibbles, it'd be that the TV should be centrally placed in front of the bed and a plug is needed on both sides of the bed.

Always have great service normally, but the level dropped this visit due to having a large booking coming in at the same time, was told the kitchen was closed by a junior member of staff, it was only after I pointed out my custom was has important as the large booking did they back down for us to order food.

This is the first time I've travelled with the dog, and this hotel was perfect for us. There is a great place to walk him right next to the hotel. The room was clean and we had a comfortable night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We could eat in the lounge area with the dog also so he didn't have to leave my side at any point. A great experience overall. Thank you.
