« Bit of a let down »

Check in was good, room had a musty smell and check out we out charged twice as we had already payed on line so had to go back to fix problem and then because time spent fixing the problem missed our son getting metals at swimming which was sad.

Positive: This hotel has great facilities for the business traveler. Comfortable bed and pillows. Negative: Stupid light switching system, which is very modern but definitely not user friendly, particularly for someone who wears glasses or has vision issues. I was also put into a disabled room which wasn't what I booked and would have preferred a standard room without the disabled bathroom as water goes everywhere when you shower in this bathroom. Horrible needle spray shower head!

Lovely room, liked the fresh milk and the quality of the tea/hot chocolate. Loved that you could hire bikes to use and the restaurant was excellent.

It started well with a polite reception and a clean room but the bed was uncomfortably hard and my meal in the restaurant was utterly forgettable. Breakfast the next morning was at least good, so I left without complaint

The staff let us check in early when we landed from an early flight, check out late, held our bags, dropped us off at the stadium with no charge. Nothing was an issue and they made it all so easy. I will stay at Novotel anytime I come to New Plymouth

« The reception staff and housekeeping were exceptional also the reservation staff on booking this accommodation. »

Loved staying with you - rooms clean and have all the facilities we needed. Housekeeping were great. Didn't love the service in the restaurant. The service was shocking. It took 20 mins for them to serve two drinks to us when ordered. On another occasion 5 staff members walk past our drinks order without serving them to us> I ended up approaching a staff member to get this organized. They let down the overall experience in the hotel unfortunately.

« Easy , clean, good service »

Great. I tend to use your hotels when away, because I can be sure I will get a nice up to date clean room. Please note. It would have been good to know that there was no bath in my suite. Usually your rooms I am used to, well Queenstown and Wellington do anyway.
