« Overall, a lovely place to stay in a great location. »

Our arrival was marred by the fact that we had to wait nearly 2 hours later than the time given, 2pm. We were quite exhausted so waiting the extra hours was quite frustrating and staff were not very helpful nor did they advise us when the room was ready. We had to ask a couple of times and told oh, another half hour or so. The food and catering staff were very good, professional and helpful The gardens really need attention, not very well maintained at all which spoilt the views. I am not sure that we would go back there again but it’s great place for families, there were a lot of children who perhaps there for Sentosa Universal Studios and other attractions on the island.

It had been a fantastic and luxurious stay-cation experience for my partner and myself. Everything is good and we enjoy our stay there. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The environment and the ambiance of the place is kind of modern, stylish and luxury (sort of very classy), all blended just right. The staff are very friendly and helpful. THANK YOU VERY MUCH !!

« noisy aircondition and missing third full bed »

Aircondition cools down and is inadjustable. 2) The noise only with earplus is to resist 3) cake in the ecvening always for two not for three booked guts 4) Windows dirty and need personally reapir with crewdrivers (i made), unsealed 5) third bed was not for a fully booked person 5) pool need cleaning machine for surface in the ground (Aotomaically is available per nights)

Booked the hotel as Accor gold member for birthday celebration, however during the entire stay no extra amenities or greeting was offered. The shuttle bus schedule advertised on the website (and top of Google search result guided me to a PDF hosted on the hotel official page) is outdated, waited 40mins at Paragon and ended up having to catch a taxi to the property. Received a room upgrade as per Accor Gold status Entitlement. TV in the lounge didn't work, took 30mins for the technician to turn up. Asked for a pair of wine glass (as only champagne glasses were available in the room), 25mins later a non English speaking guy turned up and eventually informed me wine glasses were all out, and it's not possible to find me some temporarily from the restaurant. Subsequent phone call resolved this but took an hour to enjoy the wine in the room. Having to make these phone calls also made me realize the phone in the room didn't work either. Upon check out I was assured the Management would contact me to update on the above issues reported, it's been two weeks and no contact was received. Writing this review as been reminded by Accor auto email trigger that I should leave some comments about my stay.

« Nice environment, generally friendly staff, but inefficient housekeeping »

- I requested a roll away bed at 6pm before dinner. When I returned at 10pm, it is not done. I chased twice, and it was finally set up at 10:30pm. - I ordered a drink at LeBar and brought the drink to do fish spa at the same time. I didn't know it was not allowed, otherwise I won't have done it. This lady from LeBar came over, grabbed my drink and said "Drink is not allowed here, others are having their drinks at the bar". I felt she was quite rude. First of all, I haven't even spoken, let alone refusing her request. I don't understand why the first thing she did was to grab my drink (without asking me) and said others are doing whatsoever. Anyway I didn't say anything on the spot and just let her do what she wanted. I don't think it is the right way to talk a guest who just want to have a drink and chill.

The hotel was very relaxing, although only a stones throw away from the action of Sentosa the hotel has large grounds and is set amongst lush greenery and maintains a real air of peace and tranquillity.

« Relaxing treat »

Experience a good relaxing day...I am a regular at sofitel sentosa and this time it is the best in terms of ease of check-in, feeling welcomed. We were there around noon as I was planning to go for a late lunch..were given early check-in as the room was ready. That was nice - check! Next I had put a request for a direct garden access and the counter took noticed of this and allocated us the room - check! Room was nice as usual and there was a welcome fruit platter as well - check. These are the gestures that really make guests feel welcomed.

1. Below par check-in experience - we were hustled to upgrade to a suite, and made to wait for over an hour to check-in 2. Below par housekeeping standards. Cleanliness, amenities left much to be desired 3. Poor management of the shuttle service. How can a shuttle drop guests at a location not pick you up from there? 4. Concierge and restaurant staff were polite and impressive - only bright spot during our stay

Disappointed,expected 5 star but was far from that.1 Not shown to room. 2 Phone connection at wall socket was loose and phone did not always work. 3 Water puddled in shower. 4 1 bedside lamp not working. 5 Pool visibility not good, water was dirty. 6 No salt and pepper on restaurant table, had to ask for them . 7 The restaurant menu did not change during the 5 days of our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, and it was great right from the word go with a very warm welcome from Conceirge. All the staff were delightful, loved the clean comfy room, the gym was average (often there were no towels and no water) , the fish spa is a FANTASTIC idea, feel in love with Lyre Birds. Thought the grounds and gardens of the hotel let the resort down, it looked very run down and we didn’t use the pool as it was very uninviting. Overall we enjoyed our stay but not sure that we would return.

The love the ambience, the quietness and the room is so spacious. All the daily stuff r provide. The frontdesk is very helpful. The room services also give us surprise by providing us cakes and pastry for our supper..because i informed in my booking that it was my sis birthday..very thoughtful of them. The breakfast was sumptuous...best breakfast i have so far for 5stars hotrl/resort.

« A Luxury Escape not quite Luxurious »

The hotel was not really suitable for my legally blind husband. Whilst there were some ramps provided, there were areas where it was too dangerous for us to go. The dark tiles in the pool made it difficult for him to see the steps as did black tiles at the bottom of steps. The menu for the Luxury Escapes during the week was boring - some Singaporean food would have been great. We arrived at the hotel around 7.00pm, and attended the buffet. The "hot" food was cold and not very pleasant. Dessert made up for this. All the staff were very helpful for my husband and should be praised and thanked. Communication via the Switch, was poor. I tried to make appointments for massages and was told that someone would ring me shortly. After sitting in our room for 1/2 hour, no one rang back. The same thing occurred when checking out. I went to reception and requested a porter, and checked out. 5 minutes later someone rang to ask if we were checking out. Clearly there was no communication between staff at reception. In the shower, there was mould on the tiles and grout. I thought that the staff would see the mould and clean it up - I reported it to Reception, but I am not sure this was communicated to service staff.

Pool side is very relaxing. The nature is beautiful. The night bar is also relaxing with a band. My kids loved the foot fish therapy. Breakfast is excellent with view. I'd have liked more if it's a fresh juice squeezed at the spot. The SPA is good, can improve by fixing the floor.

The welcome experience at the check-in was great, but things went downhill thereafter. 1. Only 2 sets of amenities were provided in the room when it was booked for a family of 4. I have to call housekeeping at least 3 times to deliver the 3rd and 4th sets (first call for slippers, second call for towels, third call for tooth brushes). After which, they sent a plastic bag filled with 4 sets of everything, it felt like a bag of trash was delivered to the room! 2. Wifi connection through email address couldn't work. 3. Attitude of one of the counter service staff at the spa was unprofessional. Told her that we are there to use the pool and gave her our room number. She took a glance at us and said in a flat tone - "there will be surcharge of S$80/pax". Explained to her that we have been told that we can use the facility at the spa, she replied in a stone face - "its complimentary to suite guests only". Told her we are staying in a suite, she then checked the room number again and changed her attitude. 4. Food at the breakfast spread was of average quality.

The room was very clean, but little things like no soap, and seldom delivered face washer/cloths were annoying. The pool was filthy and the surrounds grubby.
