It’s our second time at Sofitel celebrating our anniversary. We celebrated with a dinner at the Cliff as usual - we were looking forward to the set dinner with accompanying wine. This year although it was off the menu, the chef specially did up a 5 course meal for us to our delight! And the complimentary cake was a wonderful surprise too. The room was clean and comfortable although I preferred the room we stayed in the last time with the toilet door facing the room. I forgot my earrings and left it in the safe. Your housekeeping and front desk staff were very efficient about getting back to me and kept it until I returned to collect. Two thumbs up for that. Thank you! The only improvement was perhaps if a butler could help us carry some of our bags and show us to our room.

1, baby cot not arranged, and we wait for baby cot from check in (noon time) till 7 pm. 2. some of products provided from hotel is expired (toothpaste and shaving kit). when the time i call the hotel inform them the expired goods, the lady who answer the phone did not even say "sorry", but saying send another one to my room. It's really unprofessional. 3. when i request for late check out through phone call. the person who answer the phone is really really rude and aggressive. same lady。

Check in was not positive with hard sell to upgrade rooms, smirking staff who knew there was a problem and us being lied to. Waited around for the room which was ‘just being made up’ and wasted the day because seven and a half hours later, yes, that’s 7.5 hours later, we finally got the room we had booked and prepaid for! Not a great start to a weeks stay in what should be a quality experience! Whilst some staff were brilliant, reception girls were not, we found the food to be inconsistent and lacking and there was nothing made of our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Overall disappointed,

1. Went for our welcome drinks and wasn't informed that the cafe is closing in 5 mins time for a private event until the drinks are served. End up we have to rush to finish the drink. Should have inform us before we redeem the drinks so that we can have a choice to drink in a rush or to go back at another available timing to enjoy the drink. 2. During the check in, I asked if there was any special discount/promotion for checking in on birthday. Was told that I should have brought along a birthday voucher to redeem a cake from 1 of the restuarant. Nothing was done from the hotel; not even a birthday wish from the reception staff even knowing that it was my birthday. There seems to be room for improvement in more personnel touch service.

We were disappointed with the standard of our initial room as it was very outdated and the fixtures were all rather old. After making a complaint regarding transport to the gymnasium we were moved to a suite which was a lot more comfortable for a family of 5.

Staying in Sofitel is always something which I look forward with my wife. My last stay with my wife at Sofitel was in Bangkok and we enjoyed the hospitality provided by them during my wife's birthday. But to be frank I can't say the same this time when I stayed with Sofitel Sentosa on my birthday. The reception was great and she brought us to our upgraded room. And I thought to myself it is going to be a great stay. But it turned out along the way I had doubts in how Sofitel Sentosa position a Platinum member. I struggled and stayed loyal to attain to this status by staying in a Accor affiliated hotels whenever I traveled oversea because I felt that it would be worth my loyalty in return for your hospitality. To summarize it, there are 3 instances which I personally feel that it should be looked into. 1) Late Check Out - I was eventually offered a late check out till 3pm. But of course not without a push. I called for late check out but was only offered till 1pm and eventually hit the brick wall at 2pm. I had to make a trip to the reception to put across my request and eventually I was offered till 3pm. My experience with other Accor hotels is they could even offer latest till 6-7pm upon my 1st request. But of course I was not expecting that from all hotels, but at least at first request it should not be just mere 1hr late check out. I could easily get it from any hotels. And prior to my arrival I would receive an email from the hotel asking me what I need e.g. Airport transfer, time of arrival, early/late check out request. But particularly I did not receive anything on early/late check out request. 2) Complimentary Drinks - I was shock only to realize that i was only entitled to 2 miserable kinds of Alcoholic drinks from Sofitel Sentosa. Just the day before I was enjoying my Mojito with VIE hotel by Sofitel and the very next day I was not allowed at Sofitel Sentosa? And that was when I realize that the complimentary drink coupon is entitled to Sliver, Gold and Platinum (as stated on the voucher itself) where is the special advantage been a Platinum Accor member? Don't Sofitel Sentosa categorize the different status with certain tiers of eligibility which I understand other Accor hotel does? I got my Mojito and a glass of red wine eventually after I pursue with another waitress. Again I need to pursue before it can be compromise or given to me as per (1). 3) Spa Voucher (e.g.) - This is something which I am unhappy about when it comes to genuine marketing. The voucher which I purchased meant to have a saving of S$40 on the spa package, eventually ends up only savings of S$22.30 after the service charge and GST kicks in. I can accept GST as tax deductible. But service charge of 10% I am still wondering where the service charge comes about when it is just a voucher. These small details would not have triggered my displeasure if I was just a regular hotel guest at the Sofitel Sentosa. But because the expectation (as a Platinum member) and the privileges which I had received (from other Accor hotels) comparing to what I am getting from a prestige hotel like Sofitel Sentosa plus it was a special day makes me wonder whether if it is worth staying with Sofitel hotels in Singapore or even worth staying at this status with Accor. Frankly I chose JW Marriots eventually for my upcoming Christmas stay in Singapore with my wife. I cannot afford to have another disappointment by any Sofitel Singapore hotels. Besides the above negative experience which I had with Sofitel Sentosa, I still need to compliment the positive experience which I had with Sofitel Sentosa. The spa on the other hand I need to give 2 thumbs up for the sweet Malay girl whom was very accommodating and hard work to make things work for both my wife and me. Even though the schedules of the massage is full, she worked hard to slot us in by calling customers to confirm and verifying their appointments just to make a slot for us. Eventually we decided to opt for other days which she is still able to provide us the same benefits even though we checked out. This is what I call Fantastic service at it's peak.

From the Front-desk to the F & B, it felt that the hotel was badly unstaffed. All the staffs are giving their best, but they constantly have so much to deal with that they are unable to be efficient with what they are doing.

As we had booked through Luxury Escapes, we were a little disappointed that our eating choices were restricted to set menus. We had never experienced this before with one of their deals, nor was it mentioned in the information sheet. Nevertheless the food was very enjoyable. Our room and the facilities of the hotel were very good (although the black tiles were a little tricky in the wet). The use of the hotel shuttle was very convenient. We would recommend the hotel for a pleasant stay.

The friendly sofitel staff made our trip really enjoyable, the concierge team were incredibly helpful, friendly and just lovely people to chat to. The outdoor pool area was great and again the staff were attentive with their service without being too direct - all round wonderful service. Only feedback I would give about improving would be the little finishing touches in the room eg; towel hooks fell off the wall, hair dryer was faulty, ironing board wall socket loose...just little items that need a bit of TLC that shows that the hotel is on the ball in making sure all the basics are right.....we had a lovely holiday - thankyou.

Amazing room and location within Sentosa Island. Tailored services, such as pillow customisation made the stay all the more enjoyable. Prompt arrival of breakfast for the breakfast at bed service was a small gesture that signified Sofitel's commitment to guest comfort and hospitality.

As a gold member of accor hotels, I had booked the family room for my sister's bridal party over the weekend. Initially, we waited for 3 hours to check in at 2.30PM which made me feel like I was not in a "privileged" accor status, however the sofitel staff quickly turned that around by giving us a free upgrade to a suite in the family room. It would be great if the staff at the Le Bar are also more personable and friendly when serving us the welcome drinks as well. We also enjoyed the fish spa and pool side overall :)
