We enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Sentosa as it was lovely and peaceful. Thought the hotel shuttle service was terrific.

« A lovely hotel to stay in, with dedicated staff. »

The facilities were great, but parts of the hotel seemed quite poorly maintained. I reported a leaking basin in the ladies room at the pool area. Decorative knobs in the room were loose or missing. The light in the make-up mirror in the bathroom was not working. The staff were very friendly and eager to please. However, we feel that the hotel is under-staffed as we saw very few staff in the restaurants and at the pool. Despite being overworked, they were cheerful and very attentive, especially the pool staff, who seemed to be multi-tasking all day long. I was particularly impressed with the professionalism of the pool manager Mr Siva. As for the housekeeping staff, they were great on the first and second day, but on the third day they did not make up the room, and did not turn down the bed in the evening!

Check in not correct, service requests not followed up, room not what was asked for, service requests not followed up. Italian food simply blaned, sushi tapas restaurant simply ridiculous to the point of embarrassment, general cleanliness needs greater attention, Durin should not be permitted inside accommodation wings, air conditioning broken, giving 2 nights broken sleep however in fairness the matter was resolved by technicians once we complained. the pool has a major child safety hazard which needs to be brought to senior managements attention before a child is killed. This was reported to staff and fobbed off as the whole pool is dangerous. However, you really need to fix this. It is such a concern this should be followed up via email. The mini bar was not serviced, despite requests, nor I think charged so I suppose this balances itself (mini bar) out. Member welcome drink etc, arrived day or so late,..not a deal breaker, but makes all the rest noticeable,.. Accor profile standard requests not met, even after specifically asking. Concierge was great, staff around pool great,.Breakfast and breakfast staff great. We are not ones to usually complain, but this experience was very poor to say the least. You can check with Accor, you will see I stay at many Sofitel's and Accors. I've never written something like the above.

« Great experience with the room  »

The set up of the room is lovely and we love the overall ambience of the resort. However found that the pool side seats were a bit dirty. We had a rather bad experience during breakfast, asked for milk 3 times for our coffee from the start till the end of our breakfast but we didn't get any. I ended up getting the milk from the drinks counter myself. The waitress that we asked the milk from on our 2nd attempt passed the responsibility to another person which conveniently forgot about it apparently. We requested again to the same waitress, she just brush my concern aside and say that "they will send it to me in a moment" even though I have made the 3rd request about 10 minutes after the 2nd. Furthermore I don't think she check with anybody else after my 3rd request. I guess such experiences really break the overall experience with the stay.

« Standards at sofitel have dropped »

Its sad to see the standards dropped at sofitel sentosa. I used to stay at this hotel and i think the previous owner did a much better work in service and standards. My recent stay was to celebrate my birthday and the front desk didnt even noticed or wish me happy birthday. She even gave me an expired july lifestyle booklet which i couldnt use. We used the complimentary birthday cake voucher for accor members and the cake had shrunk from previous years. It was so embarrassing to share the pathetic small slice of cake with my 7 friends who came to le bar to celebrate my birthday. The room's condition is in no better state. It was dusty everywhere with visible big stains on the carpet. We had a nice patio but sadly it was so dirty with mud, leaves and peacock's poo that i dont even wish to step out. The bathroom floor tiles were popping out and almost cut our toes.

« A wonderful Singapore staycation »

My family and I have recently returned from a 3 night staycation and we loved every minute. Service at the Sofitel is excellent. The setting is lovely and the rooms are well kept. It's a great place for a romantic getaway and also family friendly, the kids will love the peacocks!

We have stayed at the hotel a number of times over the years. We like it because it is boutique-ish, and low rise and has wonderful grounds and rooms. There is a wonderful relaxing feel about it and the pool is great. The "hardware" is still there and while the staff at check-in and at Kwee Zeen (in particular Sally and her Indian colleague, whose name we did not manage to get) were warm and wonderful and professional, the service level of the non-frontline staff could be improved. Like the housekeeping staff who told me that the firm pillows were not available when I asked for them instead of the soft ones that he brought. And the room service staff who wanted to charge me S$4 for warm milk for my coffee. I was also shocked that Kwee Zeen charged S$7 (plus taxes) for one miserable scoop of ice cream. There was also that one morning on 9 Aug when we were quite overwhelmed by the "tour group" crowd at breakfast (though kudos to the staff at Kwee Zeen for trying to get things going). We had chosen to stay at Sofitel and not the bigger hotels to avoid such crowds and were quite disappointed. We really do like Sofitel and really hope that standards will continue to be maintained. it is such a pretty lovely resort and will be a waste if the software doesn't keep up with the hardware.

« wonderful people in paradise »

It is one of our favorite hotel although it's difficult to say which ones our most favorite. Sofitel never let us down and Sofitel Sentosa remains one of the best. Service is great, the garden, the swimming pool, (noisy mainland chinese but we need to accept this as part of the world's challenges which is not the hotel's fault) From the GM to the waitress, its awesome

We stayed at the resort for five days. Overall everything was great except or experience at the restaurant. We had four out of our five mornings breakfast at the resort and everyday the service was sloppy. Servers hardly clear our tables, glasses are always not available, the yogurt station never had spoons, the eggs were burnt or over cooked, the Asian station outside usually don't have anyone there to serve. The cleaners did a great job job cleaning our room. But the towels were shedding and did not look right a 5 star resort. Other then that the shuttle service was amazing. The front desk rep. Were very helpful.

Rachelle was amazing trying to make our stay awesome. Saturday night the food at the bar was not good quality and although taken off the bill my daughter and I did have diarrea the next day. Also we had the do not disturb light on and someone came into the room when my wife was in the shower. Very disappointing.

Very good hotel. The food in the pool slightly ? about 20% too high. The food in the lounge bar , good , but a little poor in volume. A cheese platter with no bread or biscuit , just dent work. put another 30% more content . Rooms excellent, good coffee and house keepers in general very good.

« Very nice hotel in the heart of Sentosa »

Overall very pleasant experience, with great food and a huge pool. Perfect for what we wanted. A few improvement areas: Spa was a little pricey and the check in/out experience was very average. Need better customer service in these 2 areas.

« It was alright until... »

This was a staycation for my mum who was rewarded by her firm. Mid way during the stay, the toilet had a leak which led to a sleepless night. This resulted her to wanting to move out immediately the next day. The saving grace would be the spa-like environment with a decent buffet spread. All in all, it was decent but the room facilities definitely could use some improvement. Strong word of advice, if you want to reach out to my mum, approach me instead unless you wish to receive a barrage of stern talking and frustration. « very satisfied experience based on the junior suite I was staying »

Everything about the stay was almost perfect, only for ... 1) small hiccups at the recep where I had to wait a little longer for the recep to realise that i have already checked in online 2) the bed and pillows are too soft to my liking 3) I was not fancied to have a swim in the pool 4) could have slightly more reasonable pricing at the minibar and food menu to attract the guests to spend, afterall the hotel wants to make money and the guests want to spend

The check in and check out process was extremely slow and inefficient. Long queues of people each time and clearly the staff were struggling to cope. Requested for a baby cot during booking process but hotel said they did not receive it and were unable to provide my 8 mth old baby with a cot so she had to sleep on the bed with us . Needless to say it wasn't a good night,s sleep for all of us . Room service pizza tasted like a it was a lousy frozen pizza
