Our stay at Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan was an amazing experience. The team was very attentive to all our request. The room was magnificant and luxurious and the view was wonderful. The facilities inside the hotel were exactly what you expect from this type of hotel, maybe even more. The hotel is perfectly located closte to the subway and a big mall where you can find restaurants and shopping.

« Good hotel at a good location, but the experience wasn’t always 5 stars »

Positive: Great new hotel at a great location, staff is generally friendly with most speaking good English. Breakfast food is superb. Negative: Coming from Yongsan Station, there wasn’t enough signage for the Novotel front desk/reception on Level 1. At check-in, I didn’t feel welcome at all, my Accor Le Club membership wasn’t acknowledged and normally I get welcome drink vouchers - this time I didn’t. In the room, there was a strand of hair in the toilet which wasn’t flushed away. Breakfast queue on both Sundays was long, not a good 5-star experience. And one time I was given a bill to pay for breakfast even though breakfast was included in the rate that was already charged. Overall, may come back but will expect more from a 5-star hotel.

« Impressive room but others are terrible »

What do you expect from this hotel? I expected this is a five star hotel and one of newly built hotels in Seoul so it would be really amazing. Yes, the room is fantastic. I don't argue with the quality of room. But starting from parking, who designed this parking lot? It is really crowded and complicated to find a right spot close to hotel. The pillars in parking lot disturbed me from opening my car door. As I believe, it doesn't happen after 2000 years because from that time, people know how to design parking lot for convenience. Lobby is too narrow considering the scale of this hotel. It is really over crowded so you had better never expect comfort in this place. All I thought about when I was in lobby was oh, I just want to escape this place asap. Deli? Why do you guys put deli in this position? It was like a sourvenior store. I don't even get what this hotel pursues. Group tour and that is your everythjng? This is worse than Shilla stay and any other city hotels in Korea. And they don't have Champaign, shockingly. They are not ready for people like me who want to get rest. Maybe it is a good hotel for group tour. But I am sure that it is one of worst five star hotels in the world to have peaceful and valuable rest. I couldn't even celebrate myself with champaign because they simply don't have. And staffs in this hotel didn't ensure me. I have to talk concierge and deli at same time to deliver my needs. And I had to triple check my request since they didn't give me certainty. They looked unprofessional and unhappy while they were working at there. If I have to request something, I believe that concierge has to handle that by themselves. But they answered me like you should go deli and talked to them and come back again to us. Then why should I use hotel service? It was like I am staying at a residence and since this is my celebration day, I bought a cake in a bakery and since they don't have champagne, I went liquour store to get it. And since I will be absent for a moment, I ask my lobby guard to keep my cake and champagne temporarily. I don't think this is not a 5 star hotel. Room is qualified but not others.

« Nice and Great hotel »

Stay over for 3 nights. Overall was great. Only some hidcup during the check in progress which is minor. Front desk staff are great and helpful. I order some delivery, the front desk staff helped me along and inform me when the delivery guy was at the hotel. Though it’s not the front desk staff duty to help, she take extra miles to help me which I greatly appreciate. Room is clean and green every time I’m back at the room. Toiletries is refill to the max. Housekeeping take note which toiletries is widely use by me and refill it to fulfil my satisfactory.

The hotel is great in everything. Room is huge. Shower product was replenished daily.It’s near the train station. But it’s not really good for those who loves shopping as it’s not near to shopping street.

My first room had a few problems, broken bidet toilet, weird/suspicious white stain on the footstool tv remote didn't work well. At first I was terribly disappointed. I contacted customer service. The replaced the footstool, then when bidet could not be repaired they moved me to a different upgraded room. That room was quite nice. And I enjoyed it. Very comfortable. The first floor check in was a bit slow because so many guests were in line but the 26th floor check out was very quick. No wait. No hassle. I was checking out the hotel to see if I could recommend it to a friend who travels for business and an expat group I manage, so I was checking things and being a bit particular so I could give an honest opinion.

Unhappy that we have to purchase toothbrush set (without prior notice that we have to bring our own amenities). Unhappy that we are not allowed to order food delivery (staff refused to help us to make the phone call). Unhappy that a staff gave us wrong information when we asked about a location

Overall, it was good staying in Novotel. However, in one day morning, the lift has problems and was suspended without any notice and assistance until 30 minutes later, the hotel service representative brought me to the staff lift.

Positive: Accommodation was good Meeting rooms for convention were good Negative: Long cues for the breakfast with excuses from management: poor service No coffee in the lobby bar from 18:00 hrs onwards: poor service Knowledge of concierge on restaurants and shopping area very limited: poor service Only one restaurant with buffet: this is a pity Was asked to come to counsel to because my credit was spent. This happened at the 2nd day as well as at the 4th day. Really bad!!! A bootle of champagne does not repair the poor service sensation experienced
