Our 2 bedroom delux suite was large, very comfortable and luxurious, a feel of home away from home. All amenities are superp. In the ensuite bathroom the box of vanity kits is placed in between the 2 sinks which made the place rather cramped and washing a bit awkward. We enjoyed the breakfast at the executive lounge. The food is fresh and the spread is adequate. The staff are attentive and could understand English. If only there are juicer that we can do some juicing of fresh fruits and vegetables ourselves, that will be perfect! I didn’t enjoy any of the the sugar ladened “fresh fruit juice” from the fridge during breakfast. As my family and I had only 2 short days in Seoul and were out most of the time, we didn’t have the time to enjoy the lounge facilities after breakfast and other facilities offered by the hotel. The reception staff are commenable, very helpful and honest. The staff who helped us with the luggage to our room when we checked in declined our tips saying the hotel policy doesn’t allow them to accept any. We were impressed by his honesty.

Hands down, 5th time in Seoul and this is definitely the best hotel that I have stayed so far. Staffs were super courteous at all times! Breakfast @ the Executive lounge went beyond my expectations! The mixture of both Korean and International Cuisine + free flow of premium alcoholic beverages during happy hours! I must say, I will definitely stay in this hotel again in future!

Great. Only a couple of things. The welcome card said a special treat was in the room waiting. But on arrival to room, nothing was there. The food discount was also very low at 15% . So did not stay in house to eat. Otherwise lovely room and decor.

Room was clean and the modern decor was just my style. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchenette and washer/dryer, which was useful since I had been away for almost a week already. The staff was very kind and courteous at every interaction. The location was very convenient for taking the subway and going to other locations in Seoul.

I actually intended to skip this survey email, but then I got a reminder that asked me to fill in this whether my experience was memorable or not, so here it is. I would skip the part where I stayed at the hotel and jump to the part I was checking out to leave the hotel, because most of what I had felt and experienced during the stay was, to put it most mildly, reversed during the last part. When my girlfriend and I checked out and grabbed an empty cab (which I would like to point was not reserved for anyone at the time of hailing) in front of the hotel entrance, we were approached by a hotel staff named Jo Yang (or Jo Yong) who took the cab from us and claimed the cab should take customers from the other side of the entrance quite far from where we were (he was hailing a cab for his customers from Novotel, a hotel chain that shares the same hotel complex building with Grand Mercure). When we promptly protested that we are also a customer that stated in the hotel complex, his response was: "you can report my name (and he pointed his name tag to us) but this taxi is for my customers." And he repeated that we could report his name and volunteered to provide it. I never observed such disrespectful manner nor did I feel intimidated by that kind of a hostile attitude from hotel staffs, and I am just filling in this survey because I think that any hotel (not a five star one but any kind of hotel) would much better off not employing such staffs or outsourcing an agency that hires such kinds. When you really think about why this hotel is priced at this much price, I think that's really because a customer is willing to purchase some sort of experiences, and I am sure being insulted by a hotel staff is not one of them.

We have learned the case in regards with the taxi service at Novotel from our guest relations officer at the executive lounge on the day you have mentioned and internally investigated and notified the issue to the department head of the team in Novotel in order to avoid the similar inconvenience and improve the service. Although there was the situation of the taxi queue for other guests at the Novotel, we should have explained it in detail about the queue for taxi with proper manner. Moreover, it has recognized the lack of taxi supply especially on the specific time of the day so that we are continued to working hard on being able to provide more taxies in different ways as well as additional training not only the designated team member but also whole team for better guests’ experience. I once again would like to apologize for the service shortfall and I am certainly grateful for your feedback and for bringing your disappointing experience to our attention. We will try our best for our valuable guests to deliver the flawless service with higher standard at Seoul Dragon City. At this moment, best residence hotel in seoul. Restrained room with design inspired korea. And lots of amenities, using le labo santal33 series that definitely luxurys. Sevice is goodest and club lounge suggests happy hour and breakfast with some korean foods. Generally, it feels like REAL KOREA HOTEL. I thinks it will make good impression on foreign longterm guests.
