Among the many hotels in Seoul, Grand Mercure is the best choice for family relaxation and travel. It is one of the best facilities in Korea, including a spacious and well-maintained swimming pool, pleasant sauna facilities, and a family-friendly lounge. The most striking aspect of the Grand Mercure is the staff's proficiency and body-friendlyness. Especially, Mr.jack jung's professionalism and kindness of this stay was amazing. His kindness gave me comfort and joy even though it was a short stay. If you are planning a trip to Seoul, you will not regret taking Grand Mercure as your top priority.

« The BEST Hotel I have ever Experinced »

This was by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. The rooms are nice, the amenities are nice but what really sets the Grand Mercure apart from all the others is their staff. The staff was always kind and helpful to me, my family, and our 15kg puppy Duke (Labradoodle). Some will say that their job and other hotel would do the same, but I disagree. On several occasions they went beyond by performing genuinely friendly gestures. They provided a care package for our family when we checked in, on our anniversary the lobby staff gave my wife and I a complimentary bottle of wine, and on my birthday they gave me a large tiramisu birthday cake. On top of that every one of these instance were accompanied by a hand written note and a picture of the staff. It simply came down to the staffs attitude towards my family and how they treated us. I never felt like a burden or even a guest, it was a kin to being with family. We genuinely loved our stay at the Grand Mercure and the staff. We will be staying with them again. Thank you for your kindness and your unparalleled hospitality.

I stayed at the Grand Mercure Yongsan for a month for business. Pros: - Everything was new and fresh including facilities and rooms - Rooms were awesome. Great facilities including a dishwasher, and large TVs. - Close to airport - Close to Yongsan station Cons: - There was nobody greeting me outside to help with the luggage. I was basically left on my own while the staff were chatting inside. - Rooms can have better amenities from brands that are more globally trustable. - Cleaning can be better. There were several occasions where you can see the cleaning wasn't done properly with trash left in the trash can. I had to complain once because the toilet had toilet paper in it and the trash can was lying there on the floor. - Staff were not well educated. They didn't have immediate answers when asked questions and even for room service menus they had no knowledge so I 'had to' provide them with the number listed in the book. Staff also did not know when my room received a full cleaning and when it was listed for a light cleaning. - Information was not shared among staff. I was frustrated because the sales team did not pass on the corporate rates for breakfast and had a tough time correcting it. - Many staff on the first floor didn't have much to do and were chatting among themselves alot. - Because of the business rate, you offered absolutely no Accor points which is not understandable for an extended stay. While I may need to stay here again. I hope you can make the improvement so that you meet up to the expectations.

We did ourselves pride on delivering a refreshed and comfortable stay experience, however we unfortunately have fallen short of your expectations on this occasion. As matter of the fact Grand Mercure is serviced apartment, we do not have the doorman at the main gate, however our concierge constantly keep their eyes on all the guests in order to proactively greet and assist instead. In addition, our guest service team takes all the room service orders from 4 different hotels of Seoul Dragon City where has their own room service menu. I am afraid that newly joined guest service team members might not fully well acquainted with the menus so that it is already on-going progress to standardize the menus within Seoul Dragon City. At the same time, we have reviewed your comments with relevant department heads and made some changes to our training processes with the information sharing, room cleaning service and for the professional attitude to ensure that there will not be any future recurrence on the similar issues. When I and my wife at the hotel at around 10.30am in the morning after an overnight flight from Hong Kong, I was kindly offered an early check-in. We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights with breakfast. The staff recognized us and even recalled the drinks that we ordered on the last day. The staffs that I met during my stay are all very friendly and helpful.

From the beginning I was not pleased with the service. I arrived at the hotel and was quoted a price for the room. I found a better price online and the front desk staff member refused to match the price. Also at check in, the front desk staff member lied to me. I asked him for the best room on the highest floor and he put my on the 16th floor. After inspecting the room I was dissatisfied and he then put me in a room on the 26th floor. Again I went up to inspect the room and although it was a higher floor, it was not the view on the same side of the building. Finally he put me on the 28th floor with the view I wanted and I was happy. However I explicitly asked him if the 16th floor was really the highest floor only to discover that there were at least 2 other rooms on higher floors with better views. I should not have had to waste my time going up to inspect the room and complain to get the room I asked for. The staff is obviously highly trained but they make ZERO exceptions for special guest requests. It may be a cultural difference but I held a business meeting in one of the conference rooms and wanted to bring some sweets from breakfast to some of my VIP investors and was not allowed to do so. Finally, the gym is great just missing one piece of equipment. The bicep curling machine. In the end, I enjoyed my stay and would return. Just some tips for improvement and maybe a bit of flexibility for guest requests.

« A convenient and nice place supporting my business travelling »

I spent 3 nights and 4 days in Seoul, and I stayed in Grand Mercure throughout. Everything is very good, from the time I entered into the hotel and being welcomed by their staff to the time when I checked out. Room is of top quality, very clean, nicely set on temperature and ambience is warm and comfortable. Basically, you have what you need, e.g. bottled water, kettle, tooth brush and tooth paste, towels, slippers, iron and board, and various USB sockets for charging my equipment. There are also washing machine and stove for cooking which I can't enjoy this time. View is good given in the middle of a city, and definitely won't make you feel uncomfortable and shy from opening the curtains. Facilities are good as well. I used the gym and I am very impressive of the scale of it. Regarding the surrounding, just 3 minutes walking to Yongsan station where you can go to other places very conveniently. There is also a pretty big mall covering different aspects of customer needs attached to Yongsan station as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with Grand Mercure and will stay here again.
