The room at the Grand Mecure was spacious, comfortable and nicely equipped for my one month Stay in Korea. I really liked the gym and sauna and thought the Staff was very friendly. There were a few instances where I could hear other guests (family with small children and dogs) through the vents quite clearly but besides this I enjoyed my stay.

I have stayed at the hotel before and chose it to stay again as I was very happy with my previous stay. The staff are helpful, friendly and among some of the best I have encountered during my travels. As an example, when I left a young lady called Irene waited outside with me for 15 minutes for the airport bus to arrive so that she could translate my needs to the bus driver. This shows a high level of dedication to looking after the customer (me). Please let her manager know about this comment. I travel every week for business to various countries and the service I have received by your hotel in South Korea means that I will consider Accor Group Hotels for some of my stays elsewhere.

We spent three nights in a Junior suite. We liked the hotel and its service very much. The view from our suite in the 28th floor was great. Unfortunately, there has been one issue which made me giving you only 9/10 in the reating of the overall experience: From the below correspondence you can see that the availablity of a swimming pool for our 8-year old son is a priority for us. This has been one of the reasons for choosing the Grand Mercure and for preferring it over The Shilla which does not have a family-friendly pool policy. Therefore, it has been a big disappointment when we learnt during the check-in that at one of the two days on which we will stay in your hotel the whole pool and spa area will be closed! There was not any hint in our correspondence nor on your web-site that you have regular closures of your pool area. The staff offered us to use the Novotel facilities next door. However, it's a long way until there and you'd have to cross public areas (in your bathrobe?) to get there. Hence, this was not really an option for us - nor do I think it has a standard comparable to the Grand Mercure. After our stay I once more reported the issue to your customer service via e-mail without getting any response(!).

It has been great as we have a small baby with us meaning having the facilities is great. I wish we have a high chair to loan so we could fully utilise the kitchen. And the cleaning was great but we felt it was very wasteful to change new slippers for us everyday. So we ended up not requesting the cleaning service while rubbish needed to be cleaned out daily so it was a bit weird to arrange

I had a great time with my family in Grand Mercure Yongsan. It was the first time to visit there, and I was impressed by the facilities. Nice swimming pool was very good, especially it was good to separate Lap swimmer and families. It makes adults enjoy their swimming freely. If I have another chance to stay, I will choose the hotel again without any hesitation. I'd like to ask one question. May I ask to add my stay record on my Accor account? jh… is my account.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel, it is well-appointed and has great amenities, but I was disappointed by a miscommunication and subsequently, no effort to rectify this. When we checked in, we were told that breakfast for the 5 mornings of our stay was 40,000KRW for 1 person. At check out, I was told this was 40,000 KRW daily for each person (i.e. 200,000KRW). This substantial difference shocked me, and when I spoke to staff about it, it was dismissed. Additionally, I passed on a receipt indicating that our hotel had been prepaid. I was charged again for the hotel on check-in. I attempted to discuss this also, and was also dismissed.

As our front desk agents already explained you through the emails by replying your inquiries, the breakfast charges is KRW 44,000 per person per day at Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel and Residences Seoul Yongsan and it has confirmed with you upon check-in that the breakfast at the lounge for 2 adults for 5nights to be added. We have double-checked that your reservation was room only and no breakfast was included. Due to the reservation condition, the accommodation charges has pre-paid prior to arrival and you have settled for the incidental charges only upon check-out and there was no double-charged amount found. Also, I am afraid that there might be misunderstanding with the deposit since we generally take the pre-authorization as deposit upon check-in and that pre-authorized amount has cancelled when you have settled the bill upon check-out. Should you require any further assistance, please kindly contact me through ky… I once again would like to thank you for staying with us and I hope that you have enjoyed our gorgeous superior suite room upgrade and made lots of wonderful memories from Seoul. Hotel staffs are very kind when I checked in. Even so many people are crowd during check in tiem , they guided me to special lounge for personal check in / I went to hotel for my bf's surprise party and hotel staff gave me a mini cake for our celebration. thank you for all staff and special thanks to the one manager at the ground floor who assist my check in. She gave me a special hand writing card which gave me so big impression to me. I don't remember her name but I want to go there again for her . Thanks.

From check-in to check-out, every staff member who met was very good. Their hospitality, assistance with transportation and local practical information made my family trip very enjoyable. The room is spacious and the equipment is neat and tidy. My kids like it very much. There are suitable for my family and kids. As for the food there, it is also very suitable for my family. I will visit Seoul again next time and stay there again. Except Ethan from front office and Edwin from concierge, I have not yet remembered the names of every other excellent staff, it is so pity! I hope next time have the opportunity to thank them all again!

It was overall good, recommend to have more western TV channels. And better croissant at breakfast, breakfast coffee is not so good. Soft boiled eggs were perfect. Very good staff from reception to room cleaners.
